thanks for making it short, easy and to the point. i hate when videos are so long with so many unnessary comments (like..I don't come here to listen about your husband's favorite dishes..)
Her versions perfect, been eating them since i was teething, all that juicy soft butter melt dipping goodnes is on the base anyways, all these other fancy videos are ridiculous smh*
This video is 13 years old. That's before RUclips became a wordy sh!thole full of ads. I really appreciate this style of video where it's short and straight to the point. People don't always have the time to sit through a 10+ min long video.
I boil artichokes in water with corn for 1 hour. 1 artichoke + 1 flower (10 artichokes + 10 flowers) . If cook in "pressure cooker" is more quicker. No sugar added. I then drink this boiled water. It tastes very yummy, sweet, smell nice and off course healthy. And yet I eat the corn and artichoke too afterward.
Now this is good advice, all the other tutorials are making it so complicating for people when its not, using lemon and cold water and keeping them above for steaming etc. when the leaf tips are not that dang pokey and doesnt matter about lemon sealing tips of leaf from oxygenating when theres no meat there and its going to boil/steam so doesnt need protiction ifvyou choose to trim it, Just throw em in a boiling pot til they boil soft, about 20 minutes+, trim if you want before hand but the meats on the bottom of leaves anyways so doesnt matter and personally i prefer nibbling on the stem, its good too

In my Health Food Cooking Class it was well known by the experts that adding salt to food while cooking strips it of all of its nutrients. Even some restaurants use baking soda to keep their broccoli dishes green. That is not good either according to the experts. They say to add your salt & spices that contain salt, at the very end just before putting them into the serving dishes. Herbs & spices without salt are okay to add while cooking but not the salted ones.

Me and my lady are making a seafood dinner. First time doing this thanks for the tips!
That's great, thank you for sharing and I am loving ❤️ it.
Thank you ❤
Such intensity.
Do you turn heat to low after you put the Artichoke in the pot?
I wonder if you ever figured it out? Or if you just never made an artichoke because no one ever told you. Kinda makes me sad.
Worked great. Thanks
great video. thank you.
YUM!

I’m confused though why cut the artichokes first??
Why do you have to “trim” them when I’ve had them before they weren’t trimmed and I don’t get the point
nice!
Thanks!
They have much better flavor if you just steam them. You don't boil away some of the flavor and nutrients.
