Watching this video got me thinking. It would be super cool to see Daley perform a full on siege battle like the one he's doing in the video, but fight in the siege controlling one basic soldier and only them, like a day in the life of a fighting battle droid or clone trooper or whatever. Idk, I thought it might be nifty
just a tip, if you dont want to randomly select walls or textures on the map, goto the F3 menu instead its much easier to place and edit units in there since you wont select random effects or walls
The F3 function you do essentially loads in all of the textures. A good tip I’ve found is that if you’re using trenches and/or want to add in extra landscape models (not soldier units) do that first, then load everything in F3 :) great video though, a fantastic creative process!

fun fact!! you don't need a numpad to selects unit teams. you can use the on screen keyboard. while your in game just use the shortcut (Windows key + LCTRL + O) then once the onscreen keyboard pops up, click on the options key and enable the Numpad. and there you go no need to go buy a whole F*&#KING Keyboard to change teams on AS2. Your Welcome :)
After I watched your vids I wanted to make these kinda battles too (only for me. No yt or that shit) I already had men of war an tried it on my self but I really sucked at it. The video really helped me thanks
I’m struggling on how to select a squad to move it’ll just pop up a X over all the characters so idk what to do. Edit: The fix is you use the numpad to switch the team number for the team you want to control
You are on a different team than said squad. go to f2, click on one soldier, check what team he is in, go back to unit mode, click the team number on the numpad, and voila.
You save the map and entities in f2 mode (esc than save as) you save the mission in f3 mode (esc save as again) Than load f2 before f3 when you come back. That works for me.
Hey, I'm trying to move the droids around, but I'm getting a lot of red Xs and the droids won't move, even when I select one and direct it at a point to take cover. Plus the droids are mostly black and white. What's going on?

I use F3 for units and vehicles which ig makes the vehicles wierd spent. A lot of time packing it with infantry just for them to get out when battle starts.
Hey Daley Tactics! I was following this tutorial and started my own battle! When they were fighting, for some reason when the troopers died they just turned into their blasters. What do I do?!?!?!
If you got the mod installed and you activated it on men of war asault sqaud then go to steam then go to the game men of war asault sqaud and klik on it you should see editor
How are you switching in and out of the editor mode, as I can’t figure it out, along with using the numbpad to switch between teams, that also doesn’t work but I assume you have to be out of the editor mode to docthat
I watched this and I’m confused because while doing everything the video says I have no control to move the characters as I want at the spot where you instructed to label them as team 1 and so on you had the rifles appear above the characters and it doesn’t do that for mine any suggestions or what am I doing wrong sorry if it’s not explained any better idk how else to describe it

i might be wrong but i think you have fog of war enabled. go to the settings and turn it off. that should help ;)

Some people don't know that, you need to press FN and any Function keys to get the map and mission editor menus.

Try pressing the numpad number to select a team in F1 mode
Basically it leaves a explosion texture instead of a crater
Better question I guess would be how do I get out of editor mode and into playing with the characters?

The dark thing if fog of war you can turn it off in settings :)

Hmmmm.... I thought if you made the mission in the f2 mode it saved it to the map? I make my missions in the f3 mode as I make different missions.
