Drill the rear hubs out to 10mm and replace the studs with 10mm high tensile capscrews. 8mm studs are the weak link. Also slap a locker in the front diff & replace the crush washer in the pinion with a solid spacer. Crush washer is the weakest link in the driveline especially in the front diff
I have a 1fz powered cruiser too, and people have always looked at me funny when I say they're massively underrated. They're one of the best sounding and strongly built inline 6's you'll find. Cheers for the eargasm at the end. Hut dang!
A little tip on blowing off the hoses. Spray WD40 on the inside hose surface wear mounting. Then clamp & wait overnight. It actually glues the hose to the metal surface. You may need to prise the hose off with a screwdriver if needing to remove the hose later. Truly it really works.
Dont worry about the speed in which you complete the task, whats important is doing the job right. your content is entertaining enough, keep it up mate
Would definitely love a bit more detail on the dual battery system set up. A tutorial on how to one would be great. Would help myself, as a certified 4WD rookie, out a lot haha.
I personally really like detail. But if you want to prevent people maybe getting bored, add the time stamps in the description and they can easily be selected in the video. So then people can skip bits they don’t wanna see without having to do it manually. Love the content. Keep it up. Can’t wait to see this build finished and on the road 🔥
After seeing the Dino run I’ve got to find the episode where you built the engine, bloody awesome mate. Also love the technical in depth stuff you share
When it comes to 12v I don't think you can ever have too much detail, I love 12v but hate it at the same time, it's good to see what people are doing and why they are doing it
Probably already thought of it. But when you close that pannel with all the electronics up it will get pretty warm. Could use a little fan on the top maybe 👍. Awesome videos! Love the content 🤙
So keen to see the van cruiser up and running, been watching every episode getting excited thinking it’ll be on the road. Keep doin what ya doin legend 🤙🏽
Detail, we want to learn start to finish, jmo. Looking sick, still wish it was a 1hd-FT or FTE though, she’ll be sick though if not one of the sickest in Aus inclu all makes let alone an 80 🤙💪 ( 80 for life btw 💪🔥) Tuner that gets his hands dirte, checks the plugs, buys new ones the right ones, dam pity im accross the ditch, that’s the sorta tuner and service I need with my rigs! She sounds mint, gotta laugh when ya said the Patrol was down again, lest the 1HZ is gonna be reliable, but yeah driveline esp off road is gonna take a beating at those numbers,, with great power comes great responsibility! “quote, Uncle Ben” 🤣🤘
More detail Sam. I'm fixing up an 80 also and the guy I bought it from created some electrical issues to the point where I feel compelled to remove everything and start again
Hi Sam ,yes more work then talking . Won't be hot all the electric accessories in that box i think u may need to add a fan to cool the electric system . Came on finish this project we need to the end .
Hot tip, throw those AVM hubs in the bin and go get aisin hubs. Bad enough how weak 80 diffs and hubs are compared to patrols, don't need to make them worse with those rubbish AVM hubs.
I suppose I am a bit of a nerd. I actually appreciate detail. Like the wire term crimping, for example. Seen a bunch of time lapse in good spots too though. Building some wires for wireless network on a Boeing plane right now. No Go pro allowed 😆
Vote 1 "The Hoff"
preference vote goes to turbo yoda!
If you’re doing something a bit different or weird, detail is good, if it’s the same as everyone else’s manager 30 install then time lapse is perfect
Scott is one of the best tuners you will ever find, this guy's goes above and beyond!!!

We need an off road camping trip episode with Skid Factory's patrol and pajero.

Starting to get reallll exciting haha cant wait to see it on the beach
Love the cheeky mustang in the background at about 11:30
Would definitely love a bit more detail on the dual battery system set up. A tutorial on how to one would be great. Would help myself, as a certified 4WD rookie, out a lot haha.
Maaaate! This thing is going to be a bloody weapon! Made more power than I thought and she's still got more in it. Bloody top job Sam!
more importantly need those torque numbers!
I'm in the UK and have been looking at swapping my 1fz in my 80 for an LS3.. but this series is making me change my mind!

Love the content. Keep it up. Can’t wait to see this build finished and on the road 🔥
Can't wait to ride in this thanks so much man 🤙🤙 love your work!
That red capella in the background of Scott's shop is nice
Sam making a cheeky 5 grant through that giveaway must be nice haha good on ya mate ripper of an ep
as far as detail in your videos goes i think you are doing a great job of judging what to elaborate on and what to timelapse.
More detail Sam, you are a wealth of knowledge with great hands on skills. Keep i coming mate.
Sorry Sam, I'm only here for The Hoff wielding his magic Page Up button in this episode. 😎👍
Me too!
No that’s an old video Sam I’ve got an old petrol in the shed and I struggle to diagnose a head gasket LOL you are so talented
After seeing the Dino run I’ve got to find the episode where you built the engine, bloody awesome mate. Also love the technical in depth stuff you share
The 'earth bar' you mentioned is a shunt for sensing current. ;-)
That thing is bloody insane! So keen to see the finished product!!
When it comes to 12v I don't think you can ever have too much detail, I love 12v but hate it at the same time, it's good to see what people are doing and why they are doing it
Cheers for the feedback
Awesome to see you getting it tuned by Scott, he's the man. Nugget Garage is the biz 🤙
So there's hope for my sluggish 105 then. Very cool.
The public loves this build so happy to be catching it
Also keen to see and hear the more on the manager 30 with screen 👌🏻
With all your electrical side, more detail. That is your profession. Wicked vids big sammy!
Bro this thing is nuts i was drooling at the last bit of the video when you gave it the berries🤯
After the dentist, absolute classic! haha nice build Sam its coming together well!
Probably already thought of it. But when you close that pannel with all the electronics up it will get pretty warm. Could use a little fan on the top maybe 👍. Awesome videos! Love the content 🤙

Talk about commitment mate swollen numb lip an all 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Sam, great piece again; very interesting!
A mix of detail and time lapse would be a good balance I reckon. Loving the content, keep it up Sam!
More detail Sam. I'm fixing up an 80 also and the guy I bought it from created some electrical issues to the point where I feel compelled to remove everything and start again
Vancruiser V's Patrol race comming soon i hope.
Double the h.p i thought you would be aiming for. Great job...
That's some pretty good numbers bud!! Well done 👍🏼
Cheers mate 🍻
Detail! Nerd right out!
great stuff man! good to see the dyno sesh went bloody well! 638hp she's going to move!
We need more of numb Sam 🤣🤣
BROOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Huge fist-bump, sensually peppered with MASSIVE respect.
That’s mental!!! Love to the Hoff!
Nice to see Scotty on the show. Legend. Oh yeh, you too
He is looking for the heat mark on the ground strap on the plug to confirm the timing mate, not so much the colour 👍
Be keen for more detail, Either way I'll be tuning in to every ep! Loving the build so far!
5:57 What's a 'Kohmpreffah'` used for? 🤣
BnB 280 series Vancruiser is looking sick..
Thats mad! I love it! Scotty is a legend!
Hell yeah, I'm hoping to get my car tuned by him 🤞
Farrrkkk.. that things gonna b a weapon!!!.
Beast mode activated!!
Nuts!! Excitement overload.. can’t wait to see this out on trips
1:43 Is that a comp truck frame in the back ground?
Yeah part of the next project I started filming a couple years ago
@@speyles when will we se that
Love a good nugget garage episode
24:50 sounds like some of the videos you see out of the UAE
Yeah boy !
Cruiser beast.
Loving this build too.
Quit ya yappen and get crackin !!
Cheers from Stalag Sydney!!
🇦🇺👍🍺🍺👍🇦🇺
So thats at the hub. Add big tyres and i wonder what the power to the ground will be. Still impressive.
Definitely more detail on the 12v mate and to fix the drive line/ axel problem you should swap the patrol chassis to the vancruiser
finding the balance between more detail & entertainment is the most difficult
The Hoff! Sick one!
More Redarc electrical details for sure Tham.
Good job Sam, smashing out this build!
unreal what an ep! I think the fz turbo page just boosted in popularity... no pun intended ;)
Crazy to compare the drive from before to just from a tune wow
cant go wrong with turbo yoda and the hoff...
Loving the work mate. Keep it coming
Hi Sam ,yes more work then talking .
Won't be hot all the electric accessories in that box i think u may need to add a fan to cool the electric system .
Came on finish this project we need to the end .
Yeah valid point I guess!
Sounds like it going to be an absolute weapon 🔥💯 Keep the good work up mate👌
Hot tip, throw those AVM hubs in the bin and go get aisin hubs. Bad enough how weak 80 diffs and hubs are compared to patrols, don't need to make them worse with those rubbish AVM hubs.
Don't Aisin make some good shit. Gearboxes for every man and his dog, only part on some Jeeps that doesn't leak!
100 percent mine fucked out went straight to factory Aisin
Bought a set of avms, and one cracked while installing the cones. POS I tell ya
Where do you guys read all this crap between Patrol and Cruiser diffs.
You can break anything if you maintain it like Sh1t
@@michaelevans7013 true. But it's also true that AVM hubs break often
2wd Action had my dying, not even sure you meant to reference them.
Mate you have a monster about to be unleashed 🤙
I like the more in depth details cause it is interesting to see how its done. 👌👌
Can’t wait to see the finished product. ❤️
just watched the whole ep, wicked stuff man!
More detail on that manager 30 and how you set it up
Bloody ripper video 👌🏼👌🏼
I wonder what would win your mustang vs patrol vs the vancruiser? Love the videos mate. Best build on the internet
Video idea… 😏😏
More details plz! Keep up the great work!
Mad
What is the number code for them spark plugs
Nice work mate!
Thanks for the laugh Sam. From dentist to workshop, that's dedication. 😆
Insanity 😍 Good stuff dude
Yeaaah boy that things sounds awesome
Congrats chris have an absolute blast. PS awesome vid man
Smash through bro. Keep it entertaining. If people wanna learn more they can take a class. Lol
That car is sick man!!
Love the outro 😅 please let the next episode be front end 😍
Beautiful
That thing is genuinely ludicrous. congrats you lunatic :)
I suppose I am a bit of a nerd. I actually appreciate detail. Like the wire term crimping, for example. Seen a bunch of time lapse in good spots too though. Building some wires for wireless network on a Boeing plane right now. No Go pro allowed 😆
Far out man, what a weapon
Use hot wires with capacitors in them...higher spark higher efficiency
The hoffs like ummm....wonder if this will fit in my next project.
Take the canopy off the patrol.
Throw it and the cruiser on a drag strip for a run.
When done of course.
would change the start battery to an AGM inside the vehicle as a lead acid battery will fill the cabin with hydrogen
Nice 80
