See this is why I can't live in Nigeria where you have to pay upfront. In the US, the hospital must treat you first. Payment comes later even if it means you're in debt. You can do installment monthly payments here that is manageable. You need that cash savings for emergencies. But I partly get it, because my grandma died in Nigeria from stroke and heart issues over a year ago. There's no 911. My dad and his siblings sent so much money over for hospital and medication fees but at least their money went further from the US and UK. Using your entire life savings is crazy. I would never do that. I would never want my future kids to do that. Those that go on living need to actually be able to live and eat.

A husband submits to his wife and kids as a sacrificial servant leader of the household. A wife too submits to her husband out of respect for his character and how he reveres the Lord.
