I love this Becky, while she has her problems she has become sincere and ernest her scenes are my favorite her and Dan are more connected due to a shared trauma I love how Becky really understands her dad
I love that they still mention Roseanne and that they aren’t just pretending she never existed.
If I was Roseanne I would have made it so they couldn't use the likeness of the name in any way since she is not profiting from the use of her own name.
@ginger that would be the petty side talking. The characters still there still like her, they miss her as they've said before. To write someone 100% out isn't the nicest, no matter what she said or did.

Because they are NOT mentioning Roseanne Barr, the REAL woman. They’re bringing up, Roseanne CONNER, the FICTIONAL character.
When Roseanne signed the characters to ABC so they could do the spin off, it included HER CHARACTER, which is why they were able to kill her off.
Ginger. Also, it’s not really true when you said Roseanne is “not profiting off her own name” on this show. Because in order for them to do the show, Roseanne had to (as mentioned before) signed the characters to ABC. In doing so, ABC paid her a pretty hefty sum.

This scene speaks to me a lot, I go threw the same thoughts and feelings after losing my wife and Becky is right about it.

After the episode from the original series where Dan and Jackie talked about the first time they met, and Dan still remembered exactly what she was wearing from across the football field...I'm surprised Dan and Jackie didnt get together over time after they killed off Rosanne.

@@coachmikesfilmroom3111 I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Similar has happened in real life before. So pulling it off with creative script writing involving characters that already had a subdued romantic tension in the original series would take zero effort. All while giving long time fans a chance to cheer for what they thought might never be.
Turn the damn lights on.
Be careful show, this clip had a genuinely funny moment. People are going to think this is a comedy.

They don’t need to fix anything though. The show is getting ready for season 3, it’s doing well.
Don’t get me wrong I wish this was still Roseanne, rather than the Conners. But when Dan said “I know she’s gone forever,” I feel like that was also a message to the fans. They’re never bringing Roseanne back.
I actually think creatively killing off Rosanne was the best thing that happened to the show. It allowed the Connors and the other characters to be the focus. It also gave the show something for them to unite over and over come, loss. I think the show has only gotten better since she's been gone. It's really given the show a totally different vibe with it being a bit more serious which I think works and allows it to shine amongst answer of sitcoms.
You know, I like Dan and Louise, but what's wrong with Dan not letting Roseanne go? That shows that he's still faithful to her.
The vow says "Til death do us part". She's dead. They've parted.
Cause it's not a healthy thing to keep doing. The pain of that loss won't ever go away until you move on.
I'm fine with Dan falling in love again. But this show introduced a new love interest for him WAY too soon. It feels out of character for Dan to start dating just one year after his wife of 40+ years dies. And it feels weird for every member of the family to be on board with it (I can see Becky understanding. But Jackie and Darlene would probably have mixed feelings about Louise)
@@MsBrendalina I think if Dan was the one pushing to get this new woman into their lives they wouldn't be on board. But they see his pain and how much he missed Rosanne. They love him and don't want to see him be miserable. They know he isn't trying to replace Roseanne. Also, I see a lot of people say it is too soon, but the man is in his late 60's. He doesn't have a lot of time left. I know John Goodman the actor may live for some time because he has money, but Dan Connor is broke and not in great health. Realistically, the character of Dan maybe has 6 more years left in him.
@@RedfurredPikachu I have gone through the same thing with my grandmother who died in 2001 of a heart attack. She died just 12 days before Christmas Day. The truth is, the pain NEVER goes away completely, it just fades a little. Time does help, though, because time is distance.

@Bella Bella They can make all of this just an elaborate dream and Dan wakes up. I think they did something like that towards the end of the original Roseanne show where we were led to believe that Dan was the one who died.
@@photonicus You're right, in the last episode, it was revealed that everything that happened, happened in Roseanne's book.

I stopped watching the show after they dropped Rosanne. These clips just started popping up in my feed. Is the show this emotional now? IS there any funny family stuff anymore. Used to love Aunt Becky but every clip is super emotional, talking about death and alcoholism. Is this the show now?
