That moment when Mario looks at you, that silent thank you, goodbye...
I thought the same exact thing. Lovely goodbye
"Thank you so much for playing my game"
I mean he just looks at the lakitu w/ the camera. So the whole game was like a movie

"Thank you so much for playing my game!"
No...thank you for helping to make my childhood, Charles Martinet.
“Thank you so much for playing my game!”
That hits different now… thank you, Charles Martinet, and I hope you have fun acting as the first-ever Mario ambassador
This better play as a "kiss goodnight" for Super Nintendo World. Along with a "On behalf of everyone here at the Mushroom Kingdom, we hope you have enjoyed unleashing your passion to play today"-like message.
Me coming back 5 years later still getting a good cry out of this (Happy tears!). what id do to experience this game for the 1st time again man.
Dont worry, you can cry. :']

+Geometry Dash RealCynex yahoo thank you
It hurts
I know right! Nintendo is the best, its very sad now that kids these days only play call of duty and if they sometimes play nintendo its probably just a 3ds with super smash bros. They need to experience games like this and realize how special this is
I'm playing sm64 right now. L.O.L.
To be honest, the part where Mario says "Thank you so much for playing my game" made me shed a tear.
Its just beautiful!
No, Mario, thank YOU for the wonderful adventure.
after he says that, does the game stay froze?

I've actually met him at a Convention I went to and told him that I have Super Mario Odyssey and liked the fact he congratulates the player on playing his game, he said he said the same thing at the end of Mario 64. He is such a sweet man.
The end music makes me sad for some reason.

Farewell Charles, thank you so much for to-voicing Mario all of these years.
My father left us three days ago and I’m in tears watching this. He was definitely not a gamer but I was (and am) a kid obsessed with Mario and Zelda on N64, so he knew everything about those games. This ending moved me since I’ve beat the game for the first time 20 years ago, but now it has an even stronger impact on me. I love how the music is almost melancholic and you get to see all the levels you’ve played before but without Mario. All those adventures, all those memories, all those stories... I’m alone in our house at the moment and Father can’t be seen, just like Mario, but I’ll always remember all the fun we had, the hardships and the laughter. “Thank you so much a-for-to playing my game”.
Sorry for your loss. I have great memories experiencing this game and Ocarina of Time with my mom so I know exactly what you mean ❤
Im very sorry:(
Im sorry for your loss, hope you are better 😢
You are grateful for your father life and grateful people will always be smiled upon by life, don’t ever let that kid and the light inside you go away life will give you many precious moments like this video is giving us
And thank you so much for writing this!Wholesome and happy memories are the best things in this world.Take this as gift from your father and step more!
R.I.P Satoru Iwata. You played a part in my childhood. You will be missed by all gamers, young and old

I will be apart of the young group, even though I’ve never played Super Mario 64 my dad has, though and that was WAAAAY long ago, when I never knew this game was a thing! (P.S did any of you guys catch that the toad in the end scene STOP’s moving even though you can still see the toad!)

@@flowrepins6663 I agree, may Mario always be remembered as the legendary game franchise.
The first time I saw the ending I ended up in tears, it took me years, because I started it in kindergarten and finished it in 2 or 3 grade. It was the first time I ever cried over a game/film, and the only time I will cry over finishing a game!

Thank You Charles Martinet for bringing Mario to life for 32 years and i'll never forget you, you will always be the TRUE voice for Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi to me. I'll miss you say Let's-a Go!
Who else is here after hearing about the retirement of Charles Martinet? This game is one of the first, and also one of the most iconic examples of his role as Mario. Thank you Charles Martinet for everything you have done for our childhoods.
This has to be one of the best endings in any videogame.
I'ts not epic or ad, it's really satisfactory to see how it all comes toghether. What makes this ending great are the credits, showing off the lands you've been with Mario, with very emotional music. It's been a long time since the last time I played Super Mario 64, but hearing the music just makes me want to cry in happiness.
If you like this, then you should look up the credits to Mario Kart 64. They're very similar in terms of emotional appeal.
Andy Garza You know what's mind blowing the ending represents the recording the cloud did throughout your journey thats why the caps are reset like you never played it before it's the memory you share with Mario it represents you recording the memories in a sence. That's how I look at it (:
Mario Kart 64 and Ridge Racer 64 also have some dope ending credits as well
Andy Garza You should watch the Banjo Tooie credits
Andy Garza me to it kinda feels weird that you don't have much to do besides explore and such
Don't cry... Aw, screw it...

Mi heart brokens when Mario says *"Thank you so much for playing my game"*
Mario's a kind, moral, clean man. A knight in Red armor. A cake, a friend and a thank you is all he wants after his adventure.
And yet Link gets none of those. Except a friend

And thank you so much Charles Martinet for giving us so much fond memories with the italian plumber. You brought him so much personality and charm into him. Sad to see you go, but we wish you luck on your future endeavors!
The excitement and happyness of beating this game for the first is something I've never felt again in any other game. Sadly, this is when graphics didn't matter that much, but the story that was in the game, and even if this seems like a simple story, back then it was a journey between you and the main character, and when the game ended, not only you saved the princess, but you also said goodbye to your partner.
And this game, in fact, acknowledged you were there, and said its goodbyes to you as well.
Good times.
And then listening to him saying "Thank you so much for playing my game"... :')

Right when Miyamoto's name comes up it always brings a tear to the eye, because he delivered when it came to this game.
Ibara Kasen Pikmin 3, Super Mario Galaxy & 2, Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword are all fairly recent, and they're spectacular. He was the producer/director for all of those except the last one, which he still helped work on.
Ibara Kasen
Wii Music was an excellent game. I still play it.
Ibara Kasen yeah, I'm one of the few out there that love the game. XD

I’m here after hearing the news about Charles martinet retiring as the voice of Mario, Mario 64 has always been my favorite videogame of all time and I’ll never forget that he was the iconic we heard in this game. Thank you for everything charles ❤
I remember sitting in my grandma's basement, three years old, playing this game with my older brother. I loved it so much. I loved playing koopa the quick and racing him to the top of Bob-OMB battlefield mountain. That seems like so long ago...I miss those times. Listening to this makes me realize how quickly time passes, and how I won't get the chance to relive those memories ever again; how some day, I'll pass on, and soon be forgotten... Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I'll always cherish them in the core of my heart, resurfacing everytime I hear this song. Thank you.

Thank you for everything, Charles. We’ll miss you voicing our favourite plumber forever.
He retired. In the words of Charles Marilnet, "Thank you so much for playing my game!"
The fact that Mario said "here we go!" When Peach kissed him was so cute
The credits here deserve more praise. The music combined with the visuals is essentially the kind of clip show you would see in the final episode of some TV series you've been following from the beginning. Through the ups and the downs, you pushed through, helping Mario save Peach and experienced a grand adventure through many memorable locations with faces you'll never forget.
It perfectly makes you emotionally attached to each level and the worlds you explored like, despite the crazy enemies and dangerous hazards, you feel a personal connection to it all. And at 4:30 when Mario and his friends are wishing you farewell, you're sad to see the adventure come to a close. Part of the journey is the end. But it's a journey that will stick with you til the end of time....thank you so much for playing your game? No. Thank you, Mario, for letting me experience it.
Well said. ⭐️
