  • This simple homework out is designed for people with incomplete paraplegia or hemiplegia, who have limited motor function in their lower extremities. This strengthening routine is designed so the person can work out as independently as possible, and with few equipment requirements. Weight can be added to each exercise when appropriate range of motion and strength has been achieved.
    Perform each exercise : 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 90 second break between each set
    -Leg curls: Hamstrings
    -Leg Extension: Quads
    -Knee Raises: Hip Flexors
    -Leg Squeezes: Adductors
    -Hip Abduction: Abductors (Gluteous Medius)
    -Ankle Pumps: Calves
    -Toe Raises: Tibialis Anterior
