Tony Davis, Seriously folks!!!! That is a big animal, it would take a lot to tranquilize it. Possibly, they didn't wait long enough for the first two shots to take effect? Maybe somebody a little "trigger happy" on the tranquilizer gun?

So if people kill animals you guys don’t even think twice about taking animals lives so if someone hunting animals down you guys not even going think twice about pulling that trigger so if I go kill a human being rn and don’t even think twice about pulling that trigger you guys going say “that disgusting” “poor guy lost his life by this evil person” “evil” “sick” so how is that??🤔 ,and number 3, animals and humans are the same the Different thing about us humans is we can talk and we just smarter those are the 2 things that us humans have that animals dont have and ,number 4, stop thinking about humans life is better then animals lives so imagine yourself as a tiger and some animal hunter just shot you in your head and you just lost your live for no reason how would you feel, ,number 5, how would you feel is some guy just take your mother life for no reason and walk away and didn’t think twice about taking her life how would you feel, you would feel sad and mad and anger and depression so if we do it to animals you guys won’t care so imagine a poor little baby tiger lost his mother for food and get killed by a hunter you guys won’t think twice about the poor baby tiger life. A beautiful animal. Hopefully it will be able to recuperate and return to its home. I wish people wouldn't gawk and increase the anxiety of an already panicked animal. We need more nature preservation and protection access to coexist peacefully with nature and all Gods creatures.

The cat is a youngster.
This time of year mom goes off to mate & last years kits go out on their own, looking for new territory.
A male cougar takes a territory approximately 25 miles wide, females less than that.
All cats know their territory extremely well and become attached to it.
Yep, cat is scared & completely out of her element...doesn't know familiar spots to hide.
It's a breath-taking event, seeing or hearing a cougar...idk how ppl can want them killed.
Even ppl who've gotten mauled say they don't want the cat hurt or killed.
Moving adult cats to a new territory is a horrible thing too....they are completely unfamiliar with it and another cat probably already lives there.

I worked security in that area. Never saw a cougar but coyotes, racoons, deer, skunks and possums are common sights.

Most likely a young male cougar looking for his own territory. Just ended up in town. Lots of deer around country clubs and along canal areas.

We just had one spotted in Springfield, IL about 3 days ago!! On the West side Finally it was captured on Friday. It came all the way from Kentucky!!!
I believe this one came from either Upstate NY , Pennsylvania or Connecticut but how does it make it halfway into long island without being seen

I love animals like this. They are misunderstood. If you feel ANY fear around animals like this they will tear you up. No matter how big you "appear" to seem.

I went to school in the hills of Los Angeles & I can’t even count how many times my school had to go on lockdown bc there’s a mountain Lion roaming the campus lol this really isn’t that uncommon

Searching for food, nothing more/less, wildlife/game do what's right, don't want them on endangered species list. People suck, kill it type people. It didn't attack anyone, so why kill this animal. Set up a food station away from city limits, very highly likeable never see cat at all. They don't like commotion, traffic noise, crowd noise, they like grass, trees, bushes that hold shade, which most cats sleep most within daytime. Hunger arrives post sleep, night prowlers for smaller animals, food chain. But why kill them, there just doing what there supposed to do, which is hunt to survive. Bet if raised as cub, pet friendly possible. Large pet yes, but imagine the protection a person would have if pet friendly. Stellar to tear up anyone who defys you as owner, then of course eat your entire freezer contents steak, or anything available. Lol
