That's actually a remarkably chilled cat. He/she didn't care when the fox took a couple of peripheral piece of food; it was only when it tried to eat what the cat was eating that cat got annoyed.
I have the sweetest, cuddliest, most gentle cat. Incredibly patient, almost to a fault. Welcoming to everyone and everyone likes him because he's a sweet heart. I do know, however, that he has freaky strength like most cats do relative to their size. Sometimes when he climbs his scratching post he just hangs there for a while and you can really see his massive muscles flex that he didn't really do that much to get. He's also got big muscles in his jaws. I've seen and heard him chew on hardwood and crunch it for fun. Yet, with me, even when we're playing really hard, he never uses his full jaw strength when he play bites my hands. Always melts my heart knowing that he could very well mess my hands and arms up badly but he chooses not to. He knows his strength and to only use it for climbing and eating. Absolutely no interest in hurting me and when he accidentally does with one of his claws he always jumps back when I wince and then he just stands there with big eyes and ears a little back looking around in slight confusion 😂❤️ Seconds after we always head bump a couple of times so as to say "don't worry, we're still friends".
Uhhh....As my dad would often say to me when I was much younger: "It sounds like you're REACHING there a little son!" However....On the other hand, I can see why the fox has developed a reputation as being a critter that AINT no dummy.
As someone else said, many bigger animals seems to be intimidated by cats, except for humans I think that what scares them is the calmness and how they seem unfaced by anything and just keep strong eye contact when other animals get close
Canines use poop to basically communicate with each other so it’s probably warning other foxes to avoid the area cause there’s a domesticated cat that wants to murder anything that moves nearby
This is actually a very relaxed encounter regarding all the factors involved, like surprise, food, territory, the fox's persistence and close proximity. But I feel like the fox comes there every night to clean up after the cat.
I feel like this is kinda normal. Wild animals don't take unnecessary fights because the cost of fighting tends to be a lot higher than the potential gain if they win the fight.

Foxes generally don't risk taking on cats. They are smart enough to know that they punch above their weight and if you get too close you've got an unhinged chainsaw flying at you with teeth and claws likely to hurt you. If you get hurt severely then you can't hunt, so you are dead. A vixen is even more careful because she knows that her cubs depend on her ability to find food and hunt. Foxes are beautiful animals and 99.99999% of the time are no threat to cats.
Is that what you saw? Wow, that is truly bewildering. I was a cat owner many times (not currently); they are FAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR from "unpredictable". I have my witnessed my first pet cat jump off a porch to confront a stray dog before. I got scratched in the process and found out what cat scratch fever actually was
They aren't unpredictable at all, they're just aggressively violent. It's not their fault, it's their nature. Smaller cats have to be more aggressive to protect themselves, bigger ones are more dangerous but very calm.
@@josephtaylor-kennedy1420 by unpredictable I mean. I could be stroking a cat and the twat will come out of nowhere with some sort of assault on my existence. there are two different foxes at video. First one is inconfident because it’s young. Second one seems to be its mother, has wound at head and something with left eye. Cat immediately felt that this one is serious danger in comparison to previous fox.

The fearlessness a cat shows is remarkable. It's like a lion is built within them.
A lion is a type of cat…
Uhhh....As my dad would often say to me when I was much younger:
"It sounds like you're REACHING there a little son!"

Cats are the most unpredictable creatures to ever exist.
Very true

Is that what you saw? Wow, that is truly bewildering. I was a cat owner many times (not currently); they are FAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR from "unpredictable". No animal is really "unpredictable" and most Human Beings are greatly predictable even moreso. Actually, Felines are just territorial and ultra defensive 🐈.
