The fact that their personalities match their pets is the best ever. XD Fry is like puppy dog 'Human! Hi there! Lets talk! ...Laurie is like 'Ew...human....go. away.' All cat like.
Oh yesss. I always though why I love cats so much, and dogs... well, it is cute for a while. Like kids. I am a cat-human, that's the thing. Thanks! :-D
Hugh was so young and delicious. You can see his versatility and talent in every facial expression. At some point it looked as if he were about to cry.
Stephen was so supremely annoying in this. He just gets on your your one nerve and keep stomping until your blood pressure goes up. Thank goodness for that dog turning the tables on us smug humans
First time i watched this video I focused on Stephen and Hugh. This time i watched the man and woman sitting idly by looking around the room. That's funny too
I work at a pet store. I am Stephen Fry from this skit. I'm sure numerous people want to punch me daily...especially my co-workers. But I can't help it. I see a furry face and the baby talk just pops out.
One of the best things of this series was the great way it totally played around with and stretched the english language - almost to breaking point! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
It was a long long skit , oh but I laughed out loud and sounded like Cybil Faulty when I did so, even I had given permission to Hugh to strangle Stephen to death until the daxie spoke up! Great bit of comedy! Really needed it!
This sketch is brilliant , as it’s obviously been inspired by characters found in any given vets waiting room . I definitely can identify with this experience lol
@@eleSDSU Oh, so much, and I just moved out from an unsafe situation, and abso wear a mask! You know what's a riot? So many here will say that an NHS type thing here, would mean having to wait, blah blah. First, there are rooms here already in place, called "waiting rooms", and second, the same people will camp out overnight, in order to be at the front of the line for a new Apple product! I don't even open my doctor and hospital bills, as it would seal the return route from round the bend! I think Vice did a piece recently, where they had Brits guessing the cost of an ambulance ride to the E.R/A&E, having a baby and more. Lol. "played house" 😂
Laurie displays the disinterested air of a cat while Fry behaved in the overly friendly manner of a dog. Nice! The ending though - LMAO
Wow.... You're absolutely correct I've never thought of it that way I wonder if that was intentional
I’m sorry to do this, but it’s “uninterested”, not “disinterested”. Uninterested means lacking interest, disinterested means lacking bias.

Very British.
@@universeofopulence, Yes he is.
That could very well be the greatest compliment you can give an actor, I bet he'd think so too.
Brian Dowling??
That ending was so unexpected I nearly fell out of my chair. I always love it on those occasions when RUclips recommends gets it right.
Especially after it was confirmed the cat couldn't speak.
Did you all enjoy that skitty witty did you?
I certainly got a laughy-waffy or twosie out of it!
One of my fave sketches of theirs. The way Stephen pronounces "Tomato" or "Tommy-Toe" (or however he may have spelled it) is my absolute fave

I agree
APSOLUTELY he is amazing

I love the exasperated "ohhh Christ"
I've been in enough waiting rooms to know that feeling
I was fully unprepared for him to say "a visit from the smack fairy" xD I laughed so hard.
This man is the opposite of the Well Spoken Barber.
Exactly my thoughts! Isn't he brilliant?
The smack fairy 😂😂😂😂😂
dustinfisher29 🤣🤣 I don't know how Hugh can keep his face seriously.
the tooth fairy takes your tooth away so I guess the smack fairy takes your smack away.
Hugh looks so incredibly tired, I can see his trademark House look in the making.
The beginnings of the House persona! 😂
Usually Hugh plays the crazy character and Stephen plays the strait guy which makes this amazing lol

A brilliant unforeseen twist. First class writing.

“Tommi-toes” 🤣
Hugh Laurie has got to be the greatest straight man in comedy history.
I thought the punchline would have Stephen Fry as the vet. I wasn't expecting the dog to speak. Brilliant!

One of my favorite Bit of Fry and Laurie sketches
what i love about this skit is it shows how yu can follow a conversation even when so many of the words are made up
If I had to listen to Clover’s owner for any

So basically, Hugh Laurie has always been... House. 😆
"[...] she can expect a visit from the smack fairy." That's still *so* good. 🤣🤣

It's good to see Hugh Laurie returning to his comedic roots in Avenue 5.
Yes please do as Clover requests.
I knew he was going to say "cancy wancy" a full second before he did, and boy that second felt like an age. Masterful timing by Fry.
