Some great tracks on their albums never released. Utterly brilliant, every single album. Saw them in 1982 in Birmingham UK and they sounded better live. Truly unbelievable.
I knew you'd change your mind. I've been a fan for 51 years. They have always been my favorite group. They sing love songs, great message songs...and then they'll take you straight to the dance floor. The late Maurice White was an icon. A legend.

This is the great earth, wind, and fire also known as The Elements. They are the most spiritual group ever their music hits you in the soul. Its all feel good music. If you are in a bad mood put on some Earth, Wind, and Fire. That is the great Philip Bailey on lead, The spiritual leader and musical director, and other lead of the group as the great Maurice White may he rest in peace. The band was full of some best musicans you've ever heard. This band is the greatest band to ever do it and most people that know music will tell you that you can not talk about black music without mentioning Earth, Wind, and Fire. The horn sections, the lyrics, the voices, and the spiritual uplifting they had it all. You are entering a rabbit of music that is for your soul when you talk Earth, Wind, and Fire. Fast jams, midtempo, slow jams they did it all and its food for the soul. Their music makes you want to love yourself and the world, you can't be mad and listen to them its impossible.

I love this song! This is one of their more chill songs, but they have quite a few that start out slow. I've been listening to this group for over 45 years and I still love them! Their music is groovy, funky, jazzy, and disco. Their old stuff is kinds trippy but I still listen to it along with the middle and later years.

Little Sis, they have so much more music that you are not even scratching the surface! I was a DJ in the 1970's and not one of their albums failed. They are one of the greatest groups of all time. I followed them very closely from the early 1970's. I can go deep little sis, that you will be blown away. Study them, and study their leader, the late Maurice White. He is one of the greatest writers, producers, and singers of all time. He died in 2016 and it hurt a lot of us. We lost a something when we lost him. Pull up the Emotions and he wrote their songs. All of the guys could sing. Philip Bailey with his falsetto voice, took them to another level when he came to the group in 1972. 50 years later, I still enjoy EWF, particular when I need to chill out and listen to some great music. 1970's was the golden era of music, musicians, and wonderful album production. That era is gone forever, so cherish what our people left for your generation.

Ashley, love your channel. I'd recommend some other Earth Wind & Fire songs (they have a huge catalogue. You should listen to Can't Hide Love, After The Love Is Gone, Fantasy, That's The Way of the World, Devotion, Sing A Song, September, and Shining Star
Very fair and honest reaction, this song as was the album, meant to be listened as an album not as singles. The entire "All n all" album pictured for this video and the "Gratitude" Album are each better than most artists careers. Whichever popular songs, ie, "Fantasy", "Serpentine Fire", "Let's Grove", "Boogie Wonderland", "September", "Reasons" etc, you may choose to check out. Don't overlook "Can't hide love" and "Be ever wonderful". No worries on live performances either as, bands like EWF and the Isleys for example were often better live. 70's bands in both R&B and Rock & Roll tended to be good live (or they didn't make it) as videos weren't happening yet and most couldn't get stage time on the very few TV channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and the new guy FOX). If you couldn't sell on the radio or live you weren't getting on TV anyway.
As Steve Harvey has frequently said, Earth Wind and Fire is the baddest band ever created on god's green earth. So many great songs to listen to Fantasy, September, Let's Groove, Love's Holiday, That's the Way of the World, Reasons - I could go on and on. This particular song is one of my favorites because its roots is a poem and the build up is met to represent love making - slow start to the climax. Lots of babies made to this song.

I listened to this song for the first time probably 20 times in a row on a class trip when a classmate of mine let me listen to the tape she had (this was in 1995, when I was 16). I was completely blown away by it the first time I heard it.

EW&F not only create a hit for every song they have made, they're live shows are off the chain!! I have every album they have ever made. Play their songs, "Reasons" and "Fantasy" - will blow you away!

Folks today aren't patient enough, when it comes to listening to music.. everything for them has to come out full tilt! I know when I was young (like yourselves, people)… I never became impatient or agitated with what talented musical artists.. especially iconic groups like EWF produced forth. In fact, I know of no one in my generation ever complaining of how a song starts out... we simply listened to EVERYTHING the song brought forth, and enjoyed the experience!! Unless you yourself are a musical writer, and a damn good one at that, just sit back and enjoy all that you will hear... geez. Lol

Assuming that everyone that chooses to spend their time listening/reacting to music, are cut from the same cloth. For me, music is no less necessary to my existence than air, and i mean that from my soul. I always seek to get those who react to different genres to do The Spinners - I love the music. I consider it the anthem for all that view music the way i do. Do consider reacting to it....oh, and their one of the baddest male groups 💯
