That man is the one and only Bruce Springsteen
Yes he was amazing!!!
Bruce was the second biggest act on the planet after Michael hence why he gets so much time!
Born to Run by Bruce and the E Street Band.

I love Dancing In The Dark by Bruce Springsteen!
The Boss. I believe was his nickname
They re did this song for Haiti. With Jamie Fox
No auto tune! Natural talent!
Spectacular talent. Each voice rising up.
@@PopularDemand1000Masters of their craft.
Bruce and Stevie are the duet you never knew you needed!!❤❤
They are like creamy peanut butter and popcorn..sweet and smooth with crunch and salt... I love their part. And you're right..we didn't know we needed it.
@@mrneonsplat que dices
Ni en ingles te entiendo
I always knew I needed it! 😄💕
Not a single one of those 47 ( or Dan Akroyd) got a single dime for making this song. They did it all for charity. I feel like today is artists wouldn't be able to take the time out of their busy schedule to get together for this so it wouldn't be able to be done together in one room like this song was the parts would have to be done separately if they could check their egos at the door and if they didn't expect to be paid. But I feel like it would never happen because modern artists would all want to much money and to be the biggest star in the group.
Stevie and Bruce.
Proof that you can perfectly blend Fire and Ice
There is no Michael Jackson "version" - this is the one and only with Michael in it - he wrote it and Quincy Jones brought them all together to do this incredible performance.
Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie wrote it. Stevie Wonder was supposed to be a part of writing the song, but they couldn’t get in touch with them until the last minute.
Quincy Jones did such a fantastic job placing artists together. People who are so different sounding, sound absolutely amazing together. I love Bruch Springsteen and Stevie Wonder together, they just sound so good.
I was working in radio at the time this song was released. It was a huge deal. One of the things that has been largely forgotten since the release of this record is that every radio station in America -- regardless of format -- stopped and played this song at the same time. The record was embargoed from airplay, and when it popped, you could go up and down your radio dial and virtually every single station was playing it, all at once. What a debut! And then right about that same time, there was the "Hands Across America," where people from coast-to-coast stood in a long line, holding hands, to form a continuous chain of humanity from the Atlantic to the Pacific. A friend of mine and I were playing golf that day, and we broke our round short to go stand in that line on Highway 80 West in Arlington, Texas (in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex) just to say we were part of it. Those were pretty amazing times.
Weren't they though? It actually meant something then to be part of something that was in unity and love, instead now, we have so much unity in hate. If you try to even attempt to spread some love, you are labeled in a negative way. It's getting rough out there. For all those who still believe in humanity, stay strong. We live a world and society that makes us believe that loving everyone makes us weak minded and useless in society, but we are the ones that find the light in the dark. Don't ever forget that. We will always be different from the ones that choose to live in the darkness, but maybe, just maybe, we were not made to fit in, but to stand out. May your light shine through the darkness that everyone else sees around you. Don't let anyone take away your light in order for them to feel better about themselves.
You got that absolutely right, hatred, division, separatism. America has lost something in the age of the media....the rich 1% legalized criminals mafia of this country have stolen it by destroying the human spirit of kindness, forgiveness, and hope, with hatred, division, false narratives...and the dumbing down of America Conquer and divide the spoils...."Follow the Money"... That's what it is. I don't trust either side of the fence that shouldn't be there to begin with. I was a public school teacher.
Remember when Americans were 'as one'? It lasted for 5 whole days after 911. Oh to be "One Nation, Under God" again!

@@romanazzitube RIP Anita
I can stil remember being a kid watching this when it 1st debuted. Still an amazing colab to date. You won't ever see a group like this again.
It's sad because it's true and we need a song like this today.
The two guys you asked about, the white guy was Bruce Springsteen and the black guy towards the end was James Ingram.
Probably the greatest (most talented) vocals collaboration ever. Every single vocalist here has put out music worth reacting to. Unfortunately, you don't know who they all are. You won't be disappointed if you were to do some research. Looking forward to your reactions.
That's Bruce Springsteen singing with Stevie Wonder
So many legends, from so many different genres. You had rock, folk, R&B/Motown, country, pop...
And some of the greatest and most unique voices in the industry all blending together yet retaining their individual sound and style.
I love Stevie & Bruce’s duet!
Now a days in 2024 we dont even come close to the amount of Talent in the good old days.
Something like this today could NEVER be replicated. Not with what passes as musical "talent" today as far as mainstream.
And if they tried would probably Autotune it to death.
The era of goats
I still remember when i used to wait for this song every evening on radio i was 8 years old beautiful days
Not only are the individual singers Goats in their particular genres, but so are those singing in the chorus. 😁😊😍
It'd be tough to replicate this today. There was an attempt in '94 for Haiti, but it didn't feel the same; didn't feel unified. The sign on the way in said "Leave Your Egos At The Door"; no one tried to outshine eachother, they just tried to do the song & service justice. Also, Quincy Jones is the MVP, here. His arrangement of solos, duets, and harmonies are what make this so incredible.
We Are the World" opens with Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Kenny Rogers, James Ingram, Tina Turner, and Billy Joel singing the first verse. Michael Jackson and Diana Ross follow, completing the first chorus together. Dionne Warwick, Willie Nelson, and Al Jarreau sing the second verse, before Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Loggins, Steve Perry, and Daryl Hall go through the second chorus.Co-writer Jackson, Huey Lewis, Cyndi Lauper, and Kim Carnes follow with the song's bridge. We Are the World" concludes with Bob Dylan and Ray Charles singing a full chorus, Wonder and Springsteen duetting, and ad libs from Charles and Ingram.
"We Are the World" is a charity single originally recorded by the supergroup USA for Africa in 1985. It was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian for the album We Are the World. With sales in excess of 20 million copies, it is the eighth-bestselling physical single of all time.
As African from South African we really appreciate such songs since day one
As Quebecor (Québec), thank to give your point of view. This words from you from the Big and Beautiful Africa, put some more value to this fantastic action from so différents genres of artist’s. Your word caution to me your satisfaction and appreciation this human action from the capitalisme world and your point amazing me. Merci en français from St Emile de Suffolk. Now, it rest now to our politics to sensitive them self to save the world and bring this earth equal to each living creatures. Encore une fois, merci pour votre propos. Daniel, merci
we also had our own artists doin this colabo.....
“Even though we’re all so different we can come together as one.” Best explanation I’ve ever heard of this song.
This was straight magic, all egos were checked at the door and they sang for a good cause. There were many big names that didn't get a solo and had no problem being in the background such as Harry Belafonte, Smokey Robinson, Lindsey Buckingham, Better Midler, June Pointer (the Pointer sisters) and more. It still brings tears to my eyes, its too bad, we as a nation do not have this unity right now.
To add a bit; The USA project was initiated by Harry Belafonte. He & Ken Kragen (talent manager, activist & fundraiser) were in charge. They chose Quincy to direct & produce, chose MJ & Lionel to write it, obtained the talent, facilities, etc. Harry definitely could have had a solo, but I imagine he wanted to showcase the popular artists of the day, to raise the most money.
@@wnsafford1854 kinda missed my point, the fact that they all put egos aside for a good cause, that was the magic.
This song was made on the spur of the moment. Quincy Jones is the director and a musical Icon
nowadays there are few singers who can sing without autotune, that's why it's impossible nowadays to do such a thing
Loved your reaction to this song. That room was filled with Legends.
This generation doesn't have the talent to do something like this
This is the best of the best you have

Totally agree! One of the best reactions to this!
4:10 That guy is Bruce Springsteen
As a man who was young when this came out, I can say this song was great to open the new year with good vibes. But after 30 years I wish it hit the same to people out there 💯💓
Almost all of these featured Artists were iconic in their day..please check out Bruce Springsteen, (the one that came in hard), Steve Perry from Journey, and Hall and Oates (Blue eyed soul). They have so many good ass songs. You'll appreciate this way more after you do.
The Fun part about watching this is trying to Identify all the Singers, and TRUE 80's Connoisseurs can even Identify the Choir Members that didn't get a spotlight.
There was even a GHOSTBUSTER in there!
My favourite parts are Springsteen and Wonder duetting together and James Ingram’s last chorus. The part were he says “so let’s start giving” always gives me chills.
This was a beautiful collaboration; still feels me with hope today!!!!
This was the 80s, when everyone was trying to put race behind us and to come together to build a better world.
Your energy and unbiased ear reviewing this song along with your interest to know who everyone is (especially Bruce Springsteen and James Ingram)alone equals instant subscriber and fan. And your attitude and how you moved with the song equals =Sexy Lady.

Bruce Springsteen.
I watched this live on TV. We taped it on our VCR and I watched it over and over again. I was about 7 or 8. I'm white and grew up in a mostly white suburb and was obsessed with Michael Jackson. I was rasied to not judge people based on race, sex or sexual orientation and that we were all equal. This was the message I was taught... Better times.
I remember when this came out. I thought it was the greatest thing I'd heard.
I just dropped my New year EP and hoping you can react to it, Happy new year;
I still get goosebumps whenever I hear this. And while I know you don't know all the artists, rest assured every single one of them is a superstar. In order of appearance, they are:
Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Kenny Rogers, James Ingram, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Willie Nelson, Al Jarreau, Bruce Springsteen (the one you asked about), Kenny Loggins, Steve Perry, Daryl Hall, Huey Lewis, Cyndi Lauper, Kim Carnes, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles.
The chorus included these artists (alphabetically): Dan Aykroyd, Harry Belavonte, Lindsey Buckingham, Mario Cipollina (of Huey Lewis & the News), Johnny Colla (of Huey Lewis & the News), Sheila E., Bob Geldof, Bill Gibson (of Huey Lewis & the News), Chris Hayes (of Huey Llewis & the News), Sean Hopper (of Huey Lewis & the News), Jackie Jackson, La Toya Jackson, Marlon Jackson, Randy Jackson, Tito Jackson, Waylon Jennings, Bette Midler, John Oates, Jeffrey Osborne, Anita, June and Ruth Pointer (the Pointer Sisters), Smokey Robinson.
The project was produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson, and the group was conducted by Quincy Jones. Interestingly, 25 years later, an updated version of the song with a whole new batch of artists was done to raise money for Haiti, and that version is quite remarkable as well. Like the original, it includes a wide array of diverse stars from the music world, and even expands to include a verse done in rap. Any time you can get both rap and Tony Bennett all in one song, it's a must-listen. ruclips.net/video/S0NfzmgNvSA/видео.html
Ashley, you are so young, beautiful and innocent. I say that with the kindest of respect. I loved watching your reaction as much as enjoyed watching We Are The World live along with the rest of the world back in 1985. Of course I am from a different generation. It is adorable that you have no idea who many of the artists are. They were the tops in their field at the time. You should look up information about the recording, and who the artist were. I think you will be surprised that you have probably heard a lot of their music, if you had ever listened to classic rock. These were wonderful times back then when we did not have so many of the struggles that the world is experiencing now. I believe my generation in many ways were the founders so to speak of we want all people, from all walks of life, from all over the world to be considered as one. One people no matter of race, creed, religious beliefs, and so on. They were good times, and I am so happy to watch you experience such a monumental time in my generations history. Peace and love my friend.
The man that came in at the 5:00 minute mark on your reaction video is Steve Perry from Journey. That band made some of the best pop music from the end of the 70’s into the 80’s. Check out Faithfully and Don’t Stop Believing (live from Houston ‘81). You will NOT be disappointed. Keep krankin’ reactions. You make a difference.

Are there enough artists in today's world who have the voice to do something like this live? Without studio assistance?
Yes, many artists.
Bruce and Stevie's duet will forever be the best part about this song!
10:10 the most underrated singer here. James Ingram.
Today's artist aren't remotely as talented as the legends in this song. Modern music artist simply aren't capable of replicating anything this beautiful
A few dozen of the most talented singers on the planet combining their gifts to help some people who really needed it at the time. It should happen more often.
No!!! It shouldn't ever have to happen again! People in Africa were dying for reasons that shouldn't be a part of this world! It undoubtedly will always be happening somewhere. But, for you to wish it to happen, is disgraceful.

Springsteen's born in the USA album came out when I was in high school and it still ranks number 1 on my all time favourite albums , followed by the 3rd guy Paul Simon's Graceland , both albums worth checking out
Thing most people don't know is that the artists were asked to join in at an award show so this was started around 1am and didn't finish till after 6am. No one was paid, they volunteered their time. Unfortunately half of the artists here have passed away.
I was born in 1979 and our whole class sang this at one time,,,,, I was Cindy Lauper, white chic with the loud voice, and there was no bias................ the world is going crazy but this brings me back to when I was young and life was simple.... not from famine but everybody hating while people.

*********GOOD Choice! With STEVIE is BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN! This Unmatched Group of Artists raised $75 MILLION for the FAMINE in AFRICA.
If you would like to react to Bruce Springsteen sometime, I really recommend reacting to the live version of The River from The River Tour, Tempe 1980 (that you can find on Bruce Springsteen's RUclips channel). An outstanding live performance that blows the studio recording out of the water. I think you would really appreciate that one.
LOL " I don't know everybody yall" Translated " Who the hell are all the white folks". And that is okay continuing your review you will learn a lot more of these artists. Love how she reacted to The Boss
Cool. Please play "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits. "L-I-V-E". Thank you.
We are the world 25 for Haiti was good too
Look up the reason for this song. It was a time that we in america just found out that children were starving in Africa.. we didnt know.. All the proceeds were sent to help the starving children. It raised about 75 million.. back in 1985
The two solos (early and late) was done by the incomparable James Ingram. You need to do his Greatest Hits!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I reiterate: JAMES INGRAM!!!! 🎶🎤
This is 1985. You desperately want to see WE ARE THE WORLD 25 from 2010 🙂
You need to go and listen to some of these LEGENDS that you know nothing about (even their NAMES). They just didn't show up because they were hacks. Listen to James Ingram's, "I Don't Have the Heart". Bruce Springsteen's, "Born to Run". Kenny Rogers', "Know When to Hold 'em". Paul Simon's, "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Billy Joel's, "Piano Man". Al Jarreau's, "After All". Steve Perry's (with Journey), "Stone in Love". Huey Lewis (and the News), "Do You Believe in Love". Daryl Hall (Hall and Oates), "Sarah Smiles". Willie Nelson, "Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain". Cyndi Lauper, "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". Kim Carnes, "Betty Davis Eyes". Bob Dylan, "Tangled Up in Blue". You are missing out, if you don't. Again...there is a reason why Quincy Jones had these artists sing this song. It wasn't just dumb luck.
First time watching. Loved your reaction! You truly felt that AND you mentioned someone stepping up to do something like this (I was gonna suggest it to you anyway, lol), but PLEASE DO We Are The World 25 For Haiti - Official Video. More modern artists got together in same studio as the first one 25 years later to help raise funds for Haiti after a devastating earthquake back in 2010. It's just as cool of an experience to see other artists do the iconic parts and how they mixed it all. So good. Watch the intro too. We Are The World 25 For Haiti - Official Video. ruclips.net/video/Glny4jSciVI/видео.html
The magic of this song is the different genres that came together - Country, western, soul, pop, R&B, mowtown, folk, etc. That is why is was more appealing to everyone. The heavy metal guys were pissed they werent invited. You can do an all R&B, or all country (like Band Aid) and it will never be as successful as this. I mean, they have Cyndi Lauper and Bob Dylan in the same room for crying out loud!
Another song to check out that was for a certain cause was the song "That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne Warwick ft. Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Gladys Knight. If you've never heard this song before, you definitely will not be disappointed.
If you haven't, check out Band Aid "Do They Know it's Christmas" That song started the whole aid to Ethiopia.
Girl I hope u know who Bob Dylan is ! The greatest song writer ever ! I mean EVER !!
This is the original version written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. This was the very first one.
4:20 Quincy Jones is directing so he knows how to exploit each singer's voice and trademarks. Lionel & Michael Jackson did the writing.
Check out “we are the world Haiti” ! Done in the mid 1990’s after the hurricane tragedy. Lots of next generation singers.
Bruhhh what mid 90s? 😂
Justin Bieber was on that joint in mid 90s Justin Bieber was not even exist 😂
I think remade it on 2009 or 2010
You're right; it was in 2010. I plead "senior citizen moment". 😬😬
Bruce Springsteen's is that man
You got it sister! This song should be a daily vitamin for everyone to hear first thing in the morning and the world would change overnight to a more peaceful, loving place. It is changing anyway. 🌈🔥💕 Wishing you a blessed New Year and keep diving in to each one of those individual artists till you recognize their voice right away. Every one of them is a legend. The way you put them together like instruments in an orchestra is to hire the master producer, arranger, musician and writer, Quincy Jones who is directing it all. 💕
Wyclef Jean made a disastrous remake of this song for the earthquake in Haiti. That version of this song was absolutely terrible. It was trash and they should be ashamed for trying to ruin this perfect song.
Thankfully, people know the original and know that the talent from the people who made this song is so far above and beyond the "talent" that sang the other version. You can't even compare.
That man is Bruce Springsteen. The Boss👍 . Love your reaction to this once in a lifetime happening. I was 24 when this came out and I remember when it premiered on MTV😀 Great times in the 80s❤
I'm so sorry Ashley but today"s artist cant sing like the old school singers. All you have today are rappers with no singing talent. Those days are gone
Please consider to react to all the artists that is stated by GabbyG on this video, it will make your channel very better. It’s just my opinion.
You can't do this with today's artists because none of them have this level of talent. They are all manufactured , all rely on autotune and technology to make them sound decent.
These are some of the artists of the 80's...80's had the best must point blank...you should look at list of all of them and do some of their songs
Bruce Springsteen had this amazing album "Born in the U.S.A" in 1984 which only had like 1 or 2 songs that weren't released as singles. Does anybody else like me have their favourite song from that album being "Bobby Jean"? 🥰
This one is the original version written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie
The "artists" today overall lack the vocal talent to pull off something like this
You have an absolutely beautiful smile you light up the room when you do that❤
That gritty voice on the white guy singing with Stevie is Bruce Springsteen...
They did an updated version of this for Haiti about 10 or so years ago. There is a reason you haven not heard about it.

In the early 90s, there were several collaborations like this. Voices That Care was a song supporting our troops in the Gulf War. The West Coast Rap All-Stars did a song called We're All In The Same Gang produced by Dr. Dre as a Stop Gang Violence campaign.
There is a new we are the world for Haiti from I think 10 years ago you should look at
