  • TED is the infamous idea-sharing platform that has given ideas and issues from every corner of the world a global stage. TEDxYouth@StJohns takes this model to the community level - in our case, creating an event designed by youth, for youth, all under the age of 30.
Dane Woodland is a transgender advocate passionate about gender equality and inclusivity. Working as a personal trainer while completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Dane utilizes a combination of his lived experience, subjective knowledge, and academic focus to shape his community work. Dane regularly speaks to local schools and organizations with Get REAL, the Trans Needs Committee, and as an independent. In his free time, Dane is equally as passionate about life as he is about advocacy! Dane loves to laugh, smile, learn, grow, and explore! He regularly enjoys outdoor pursuits, various physical activities, and snuggling his cat, Suzie.
