I Thought about getting the G8 but I just don’t like the overall design and chunky look over BB, the backbone is just perfect in terms of size and comfortability IMO.
I have X-Large hands, so the backbone was a no go for me just due to the size. As for what phone I have it’s an iPhone 15. So maybe it might be a compatibility problem. I would just hit Reddit up and see if that’s the case with your phone.
I haven’t tried the Gamesir. The backbone one doesn’t have what I would call “clicky” buttons. It has a soft click but not really clicky, especially when compared to the micro switches on the Razer Kishi V2. Those have clicky buttons, including the shoulder buttons and has better trigger feel.
@@wagner2077 😂 Yeah man, you cannot use it on pc, mac or ipad using the usb cable without that subscription. There’s also a capture button that cannot be remapped, just to use that button to screen record, you need that yearly subscription.

It has hall effect joysticks and triggers. It has a turbo button and 2 customisable macro buttons on the back (4 on the BSP D8 pro), it also has RGB lighting, it looks like a PSP with my iphone in it and It can also fit my 11” ipad pro with case👌 it can connect to iphone, android, playstation 4/5, Mac, PC, nintendo switch, all wirelessly and can connect Xbox with a type-c cable. It also costs like $20-30 on aliexpress. These other game controllers ain’t got 💩 on the D8

I’ve owned 4 backbones. For 2 reasons. 1. I like them a lot. I got an Xbox version and then a PlayStation version both lighting and when iPhone went from the Lightning to C, I had to get another one. So now I use the lighting one with a Lightning to C cable on my iPad and C on my phone 2. The first one I had the joysticks went haywire and it was useless and I was just outside of warranty. I just hate that I can’t charge my iPad while using the controller. I am however, really really interested in the G8 for my phone.
I have the Backbone and a G8+. G8+ feels better but can't fit large phones. Backbone is much more simplier and convenient with the draw backs being less ergonomics.
I've tried both of these, the Gamesir is a better contoller but the Backbone is more portable and I can use it without taking my OP12 out of its case, so I kept the Backbone.
I just got a Google Pixel 8a hope it will work with it, wanting the Gen 2 so my case won't be an issue..I like the portability, currently having to carry around an Xbox elite 2 pro controller in its case to play on the go...it sucks. I can't find any videos with it being used with my phone prob because it just came out...this phone plays games great with the Tensor processor and 8 Gigs of RAM. I think the backbone would work well with it so I can play Farlight 84 and CODM or Fortnite ect.

The G8 has a weak USB c stick I hit it once accidentally and became loose an unusable happened on the 2nd day if buying.. luckily Amazon replaced it.. unlike the stories I've heard people trying to contact the company about replacing and warranty
Get the G8 the Backbone breaks a lot i’m returning mine for warranty and one of the sides stopped working and it isn’t even a month old and I got this for my birthday
I didn't like the g8 couple of minutes in my hands start hurting when I use it. I like the backbone though I can play for a couple hours with no pain wish the joysticks where bigger though everything else is great
I have the Gamesir G8 Galileo and I advise NEVER to download their app! It's basically malware since they ask for so many unnecessary permissions such as access to your photos, text messages, contacts, etc
@@punkzappa_ I ended up just not using the extra buttons tbh. I can't confirm you can use a 3rd party app to map the buttons. However, I will admit I did install the Gamesir app for a second because there was a software update to increase the charging speed of the USB C port on the controller and then I immediately uninstalled it

Yes, and get the G8 over the Backbone for sure. The Backbone fits phones with large bumps at a very bad angle that could damage the port. The G8 connector is flexible and spring loaded so it is less likely to damage any phone’s port.

Got the Gamesir X2 and the G8, i hate it 😢 while the emulation is nice, it feels way to wide to hold. 27cm Oneplus 8t and G8. 😩 X2 was not comfy, got the g8 so they praise its comfort. My left hand starts to tingle while playing.

I returned the G8 because warzone mobile is all I want to play and it doesn't work. I also don't wanna bring an Xbox remote with me everywhere I go just to play warzone mobile. Backbone for now even though it definitely isn't the most comfortable controller.

Lighting already died from ip15, no reason to support lighting for the next gen.
Check out the G8+ it supports bluetooth connections meaning it works with Switch and PC games
They just released the g8 plus it’s Bluetooth and can be used on anything even the Nintendo switch

and if they decide to add back buttons for a v3 any competitor is over
You must have a thin case. I have an s24 ultra, and there is no way the backbone fits this with a case on.

I have both and sadly CoD Mobile only supports the Backbone.
If you connect an xbox controller via Bluetooth but use the G8 in xbox mode it works. Just make sure the xbox controller stays on

@@punkidish436 G8 doesn't work on COD Mobile. It works on Warzone Mobile with the green light option. I've been playing Warzone Mobile with it.
