    Nice work!
    What's the quickest way to make them?

      If you're doing one offs just take stock around the thickness of the drumsticks you want (3/4" is probably best) and cut out a square block the length you want (~14-16"). Then you can turn it round and shape. If you're making a bunch you could turn the square blanks into octagon with 45 degree bevels on all long edges.

    Have you ever tried with a duplicator accessory? I think it could be easier once you get the one.Regards

    Awesome!
    Have they held up?
    A quick little hit with a blow torch and rub the ashed part in with a wet rag before beeswaxing it gives it a sweet flavor Finnish
    Not sure if it affects the hardness of it at all but it looks not so ordinary
    Great bideo !

    I’m new to turning, how did you remove the excess pieces at the front and back of the drumstick? Did you just cut them off with a chop saw?

      I end up slowly turning them until they nearly fall off then use a hand saw. For bigger turns like bowls or plates ill part off with a handbag after I turn a Grove for the saw to fit into. Hope this helps, good luck!

      @@MadeByMillennial ah gotcha! That makes sense. Thanks for getting back to me. Were you primarily using a skew chisel in the video?

      @MadeByMillennial  3 года назад +2

      Tbh I mostly used carbide because I haven't sharpened my chisels in forever. But the Skew chisel would have made the turn alot easier. It will let you direct more force to the back and front where the piece is supported instead of to the side where the piece has to flex or break!
