I love it thank you so much! I ran to lowes right after seeing this. I've been looking everywhere for something I can make to help me win my Christmas decoration contest. We all have the same store bought stuff but this will help me stand out.
Very good idea! I had initially tried clothes hangers, but they ended up making a star too small to rig with lights. I used leftover slats from putting plastic up, which are about the same size as a yard stick. Thank you!
Just finished making mine! I used zip ties on the ends instead of glue however, and black duct tape for the color of the sticks, I also got glued multicolored vintage c7 bulbs to it. Looks amazing. Definately gonna use your design for many many more
I made one of these a fee years ago using Titebond 2 wood glue instead of bolts (its waterproof), then painted it. It held well, but I couldn't break it down like the one you made. I'll try this method this year or next.
I am going to use Aluminium yard sticks, keeping in mind it will last much longer, won't break as easy as wooden ones we'll have it for a long time, bout 4 bucks each on ebay for them

Thank you for doing the math for me!!! 😊 Perfect display! Appreciate you posting this. Merry Christmas
We've haven't been able to find a star to fit our space. Cut down the yard sticks and it fits perfectly! Thank you!

I can made this and I can use cardboard
Cardboard can work, wood is more secure.
