    I did this yesterday on 2007 Rex 350. It was very similar only hang up I had was the bracket on the compressor. Once I remove the 10 mm bolt from the bracket the compressor literally fell out. I also replaced the condenser and total time was about 4 hrs 👍.

    Wow! What a very professional video with so many helpful details. Would these directions mostly apply to a 2007 Lexus RX350 too?

    • @13sGARAGE
      @13sGARAGE  2 года назад +1

      the Labor rate for replacing a A/C compressor on a 2007 RX350 is 2.7hr vs. the 2008-2015 RX350's 4.5hr. So going to have to say "No" but I wouldn't know for sure in less I had a 2007 in front of me.

    This video is a good one. I only cursed a little and didn't even throw any tools, thats a win in my shop!!! There is a bolt on the factory Denso compressor that was just above where the harness bolts to. That one was hanging up on me. I see the LS race motor in the back ground 🙂.
    Whats it going in?

      Thanks for the comment boss, that LS engine is going into my RX-8 drift car. If I ever find the time to get back to work on it 😞

    Great Video, I am just about to start removing my compressor. Question, how did you remove the gray connector thats attached to the compressor? Where you able to use your hands or did you use a special tool?

    • @13sGARAGE
      @13sGARAGE  Год назад

      Are you asking how did I disconnect it or how did I unbolt it? If I'm bolting it I used a 10 mm gearwrench.

    • @johntorcomian5223

      How did you remove, electrical connectors is what I meant

    • @13sGARAGE
      @13sGARAGE  Год назад

      @@johntorcomian5223 it's been almost two years since I did the job. So right off hand I don't remember, I know that removing the passenger front wheel gave me access to the majority of the electrical harness and that's how I removed it. It goes over that part in the video. Other than that I don't know if I'll be of much help.

    I have recharged the AC, but it doesn't cool and it is warm. Someone told me I should replace the whole AC compressor, but could the issue possibly be because of the sensor flow of the AC? Can I just change the sensor? How can I make sure what exactly the issue is?

    • @13sGARAGE
      @13sGARAGE  3 месяца назад

      Correct, most vehicles have a sensor on the high side and on the low side. If one of those sensors is broken it will not relay that the system has enough freon in it to actually engage the compressor. As far as diagnosing, I would advise you to take it to a shop.

    • @13sGARAGE
      @13sGARAGE  28 дней назад

      @@Pugdude-z9g there are many things that would stop your AC from working, the first thing I would do would be to check your Freon levels ensuring that you do not have a leak.

    Quick question did the replacement already have oil in it ? Do you need to drain the old unit so you know how much oil is needed in the replacement unit

    • @13sGARAGE
      @13sGARAGE  Год назад

      The unit I installed was pre-oiled from the factory. I would highly recommend asking your parts supplier if you need to add oil or not, and if so how much. That way if anything goes wrong, all you did was what they told you.
