I have a question,
when I'm cruising, will it damage the one wheel in any way if I grab onto the back of a car and let it pull me?
if so, I think y'all could install an option to activate neutral.

Hey there! This is actually a tactic used by some of our riders. There's no neutral or freewheel setting, but the boards have regenerative breaking, so if you are being towed behind a car and lean back to break, the board will actually recharge itself a bit. It's a tricky maneuver, but it gives you a bit more juice! Just take it slow and steady.
When did you phase out the hand control? Was there a hand control?
