My silly hot take: The Mimic’s design should have been a more decrepit version of the Fnaf 1 endo, made with elements of other endos throughout the series, specifically being the endo from the private room in Fnaf 1, would have been cool.
That would've been cool to see tbh
While it would be cool it doesnt make sense considering how he was described in the epilogues. While originally he was a endo amalgomation the Epilogues hint at the fact that the original Mimic was rebuilt for some reason
Maybe he could look like that endo 01 with black eyes and red pupils

"Vanessa is just Micheal & Elizabeth shoved into one body." Why does that sound like it would be a Fazbear Frights story. Like I could totally imagine a Frights style story of two people being fused together. The idea would fit right in with the other ridiculous tales🤣
isnt that the overarchimg plot of the og goosebumps style books?
This is one of those story concepts that I've loved since I was a kid so I'm not against it.
I mean, technically with Ennard, Michael and Elizabeth were shoved into one (his) body!
I feel that with Mimic. He is a version from Ennard, which the last you could argue is some version from Baby.
To be fair, these two last characters could have been used for interessing plots in their respective games, which Mimic.. IDK.
I am hater from this thing, just thinking in it I am like " oh fnaf lore... I am prefer write my version I think "
oh god..
Hot take: i would be totally down for a pizzaplex simulator; like a proper planet coaster-esque game where you build a successful mega pizzaplex, bringing in customers and revenue, hiding bodies and minimising lawsuits, repairing animatronics - not sure if reanimating afton is the goal but the amount of lore you can shove into that game would be amazing.
I'm onboard with this and would forever play this if it existed.
We should play as an Afton type of character building new buildings and upgrading, upgrade stuff using remnant which you earn by having your animatronics kill people idk lol
Edit: yeah, like, in planet coaster you have your different employee types, animatronics can be one, and you can program different animatronics to attack under different conditions
Maybe a remnant meter that goes up and down, popularity, lawsuits pending
Anything goes too low that franchise will shut down and you can eventually get a game over in a campaign mode, but you can respawn and the “I always come back” voice line plays lol
But so, I imagine depending on the animatronics you want in your lineup, you would change the architecture to encourage remnant collection, little nooks they can duck into, useless rooms and mazes, etc. breaking up sight lines to reduce the likelihood of a collection being witnessed lol
Day and night cycles where you alternate going after parents and kids and security guards
Definitely need some honest rollercoaster mechanics, slides, haunted houses and stuff where you can get really complex with placement and shape and art of stuff, not some crappy mobile roller coaster tycoon, but a Planet Coaster level simulator and ride and event options and stuff
And maybe, like how you can go be first person on a coaster, maybe you can actually go and play FNAF in your pizzaplex, security office being a required room to be made like entrances and bathrooms in PC, then you can custom place security cameras and lights and automatic doors with triggers that go to the office, maybe you can post your pizzeria game for others to load up and you can go head to head, animatronics vs security guards
Or you can play against NPCs in the campaign on either side, animatronics or security
Would be a big and complex game to make! lol
Hot Take: Everyone misses that Afton has been re-generating new flesh after every significant injury.
All the fleshy bits that look "aged" and decayed in FNAF3 don't like up with human anatomy; there are intensifies and veins mostly wrapped around the framing of the suit's endo. In FFPS the flesh is now "new" and pink and red and healthy; the skull is now a "clean white"; his anatomy continues to not make sense with, again, the flesh wrapping like vines around the frame; he was on fire and then "recovered" or grew back. In SL Micheal "can't die" not because he's impervious, but because he literally re-generates after Enard leaves him. Scott left an awkward frame pause in that cut scene, before reversing the animation to have Mike stand again. And then finally in security breach, the body of Afton has done it again; the anatomy again makes no sense and continues to hang on the frame; there is now flesh on the jaw; it's not a healthy color, but it has blood flow to it.
I've definitely seen some cool discussion on that! However, I don't think it would explain why his bones disappeared altogether. But definitely, he is regenerating flesh, and how this is shown differs between the games and the books.
@@diarawisteria2218 maybe the bones fell out at some point and old man afton couldn't be bothered to go collect them
@@prcerviWell maybe because he's growing around the endo-skeleton he doesn't need to regrow his real skeleton.
@@prcervi I think there's a solid chance that the bones that were crushed by the Springlocks did just sort of...fall out. I'm not sure if the other ones would, but I suppose a structure failure of multiple bones getting broken in various areas could cause the entire skeleton to have issues. Though I then have to wonder why the skull is mostly intact.
@@diarawisteria2218 I think the "meta logic" of the bones is that if Afton does regenerate organic tissue, then every time he comes back Scott/Steel Wool can re-design how his flesh is arranged on the springlock suit, including the bones. We can grow new bones as living humans with hap-hazard results depending on the circumstances. If Afton is an undead remnant ghoul then perhaps he can re-generate bones that are completely gone? Fire can/does destroy bone, though the thicker the bone the more likely it could remain unless the fire went on and on for an exceptionally long time.
(btw, sorry about the auto-correct my phone was doing in the first comment.)
Here's my hot take: I think that the FNaF franchise's worst problem is how the writers can never truly commit to any idea or story, because if someone made something unambiguously canon, and it contradicted a popular theory, people would get mad about it, so they have to sacrifice good storytelling and continuity for the sake of appeasing theory-obsessed superfans.
I agree
I'd say that you just said one of the coldest takes, obviously I agree, but from what I've seen most people that take FNaF's lore seriously have complained in one way or another about FNaF's "wishy-washiness" (?)
This is just another way of deflecting blame for fnafs poor story telling on the fans when it's the writers job to create a compelling narrative. If Scott or SW allow theories to derail their storyline that's their own fault.
I don't remember this ever happening, elaborate
@@cootermarie9426 A compelling narrative is subjective so I don't know what you are trying to imply
Hot take:
If Scott were to do anything that is not FNaF related, I believe his best bet would be expanding the Desolate Hope's universe. It is by far his second most recognized IP, to the point where Coffee, the protagonist of that game, made it into FNaF World (alongside the Beaver, but that's mostly because of the meme infamy)
Hot take: bring back the old animatronics
I think getting two different voice actors for a mystery persona and their real identity can work super well. Spectacular Spider-Man's Green Goblin was a really fun mystery that covered all its flanks that managed to keep you guessing for two seasons straight on who the Green Goblin really is, and that one hired a separate actor from all the other candidates so you couldn't just go on IMDB and cheat. The problem with Vanny and Vanessa is that there's no other possible candidate we really know of and the game makes it really obvious that it's Vanessa. There's no mystery (or a really bad attempt at a mystery) with no clear conclusion so hiring a second voice actor was really pointless in the grand scheme of things
Hot take: I really hate it when some of the main 4 band members are removed in favor of random new characters. Adding new animatronics to spice things up is great but there's no reason to remove key characters when you could just include them *as well as* all 4 of the main cast.
Right like in SB,where people care alot more about what happened to Bonnie and or Foxy cause they're missing. Also in a game like Security Breach they could have really needed a few more animatronics to make the characters more varied around the building
@@princedonovaughn1182 Right! Another example is how in SL, they could have easily added Funtime Chica in to fill the later nights. The fact that her only appearances are in FNAF 6 and HW2 is a CRIME.
The main problem with that is that then you have more characters that need to get limelight, which is already something you have to be careful with balancing when there are 4-5 members. Look at the absolute state of FNAF 2's roster--the Withereds (barring Foxy) are largely upheld by their designs, as opposed to unique gameplay functions or personality quirks, and Toy Freddy was neglected for a long time because he struggled to stand out in his own game.
I don't mind the rotating cast, so long as each member, new and old, offers something unique and fun. They have to cement their places, basically. Glamrock Bonnie getting shaboofed and turning into a mystery, as well as his implied pasts with both GlamFreddy and Monty made that incarnation pretty cool OUTSIDE OF the Ol' Man Willy Wabbit Wowzers. Roxy is a lot more controversial, I think, as to whether her replacing Foxy was worth it, but in the case of Funtime Chica...I'm glad we got to see what her design would have been, but I'm not too remiss for her not being in SL. That game, much as I love it, already struggled to make Foxy earn his keep. Ballora, if you see her as the direct replacement for Chica, did well enough to distinguish herself, in my opinion.
@@diarawisteria2218 You've got a point, but take FNAF 2 as an example. That game found a way to make its extremely long list of characters work and it would be easy to add 1 or 2 other characters from the main cast in a game like SL because it would still have less characters than FNAF 2.
@@EpikTopWThank You!
Hot take:Ballora should have been the one to kidnap you in night 4 of sister location. It would have made sense so Ballora could annoy baby it already seems like they have bad blood. And baby could keep up her act it was basically over when she changes her personality.
I'm pretty sure NN has said the exact same thing before, actually. Her or someone else.
I definitely agree on the sentient animatronics take, I love the Glamrocks so much and I really hope they flesh out Monty and Chica more in the future, I really hope they all get a good ending in the end of this era too, I really want to know what really happened between Bonnie and Monty, My big guess is that the Mimic1 virus amplified his personality and made him do it, Or he was framed, I really think there is more to Monty's character than many people think, I really want him to be explored more, Same with Chica, She really deserves a redemption arc too in my opinion since it's hinted she's just as kind hearted as Glamrock Freddy, I really don't think it would be fair if only Freddy and Roxy get good endings in the end, I really hope Monty and Chica aren't dead, I hope they come back too, They deserve better.
This is all just me though, My take.
25:44 everyone was mad because they weren't ready to witness eggman's true power
On the Bonnie topic, nothing is funnier than seeing people finally realising that FNaF 1 Bonnie was never purple in the first place. 😂
Can you blame people when a lot of the merchandise even makes him purple
He's purple TO MEEEEEE. [Sobbing.]
But for real, I liked him in part because I thought he was my favorite color. No problem with Toy or Glamrock's blues, though.
I feel like it’s just because of the lighting in the FNAF 1 trailer or just the lighting of the game in general
@@Hamburger8079 In the trailer, definitely, but in the game it’s a bit more obvious. At least in the cameras. His jumpscare and sight at the door make him look slightly purple. But nowhere near the shade the merchandise makes him.
Here’s mine, What I don’t like the most about these recent games is that it answers one question then leaves us with a million others, they’re just stretching it out to pretend the mess of Security Breach never happened. At this rate we’ll be at Fnaf 20!
FNAF 10 is closer than FNAF 1 is
That joke in fnaf world’s freddy in space of killing scott because he was ranting about making like 200 games without clearing anything up is starting to feel a little too real lol
My hot take is that the child characters, especially Gregory and Elizabeth, are over hated by the fandom. People call Elizabeth selfish for wanting to please her father despite the fact that we know that William did abuse her. I hate to break it to you but small children tend to have complicated relationships and feelings with their abusive guardians, especially when they're the only family they've ever known. And I could go on for ages regarding the unjustified hate Gregory gets. I'm genuinely worried about what the FNAF movies will do regarding the child characters that will make the fan base turn on them.
If the movies explore Golden Freddy's ghost wanting to torture Afton, I just KNOW there's gonna be people who think the murdered child will be just as evil as the serial killer who killed him and stuffed his corpse in a yellow bear robot.
Which is sad because Gregory is honestly my favorite FNAF character, in the whole series, and if the movies do go the torture Afton route id love if they do it in a way that explores the kids personalities and their lives. Its not just that they hate Afton because he killed them, he took them from their happiest day, we could explore why that day was their happiest which would provide greater reason for why they torture him outside of he killed (which on its own is a perfectly justified reason but itd be cool to see that their own lives and experiences played a role in it)
With Elizabeth I want to point out that her reasoning for wanting to make William proud of her, is because she thinks it was her fault that she died(when it wasn't, it was William's fault). She thinks that had she just listened to William and had been good, she would have still been alive, and as a result she tries to overcorrect, and there's also the fact that by the time FFPS happens she's been possessing Baby far longer than she's been alive, and for who knows how long she had to deal with Baby's murder program(possibly even after she was booted from Ennard and became Scrap Baby), her psyche was pretty much destroyed by then, and Henry even questions if she can even remember her own name.
With Gregory, let's face it most people only really hate him because he destroyed the animatronics(which he was 100% in the right for doing because they were trying to kill him). That kid gets way too much hate because people think that the Glamrocks being hacked, means that its ok that their trying to kill a kid and that said kid is in the wrong for defending himself(I seriously doubt if they were in his shoes, that they would be trying to befriend them). I could go on and on about Gregory and all the undeserved hate he gets.
As for the idea of people hating the kid who's possessing movie Golden Freddy if he ends up torturing William, I could definitely see that happening. Since there are people who hate Cassidy(or whoever you think the vengeful spirit is), for keeping William in purgatory so she can torture him seemingly forever, saying things like "Cassidy is just being petty" or "He's been threw enough" as if William didn't kill her or the others and Cassidy has no reason to be so vengeful.
I mean, it's generally accepted that cassidy is the one torturing afton in UCN, and I haven't seen anyone have a problem with that.
Though maybe movie-goers who haven't played the games might have a problem with that. Not sure.
But yeah I 100% agree with your comment.
@@krisvelivia Well, I've seen fans (especially in the gacha fandom) criticizing Cassidy, even outright hating on her, for wanting to get revenge on William. You know… the piece of crap who not only ruined her life but also the lives of other children, INCLUDING his own. So I wouldn't doubt that some people would whine about Cassidy or say she's just as bad as him.
I also heard gregory is hated too, what for?

I will never understand how people mistaked golden Freddy for Freddy. Yeah he did just kinda show up, but come on, the missing ear? Glowy blue eye? Different colored fur? There were also apparently people who mistook Ella for circus baby, I understand never having read the books, but that was obviously not circus baby
The fact is that the fur is not that different. Many people, me included, just interpretated it as a lighting effect. I only recognized him because of his eye and missing ear but you have to remember that not all fans remembers every single design changes.
ONLY FNAF 2 Golden Freddy has the eye and ear feature, some of my friends didn’t understand because of that. And his fur is FAR too brown.
As for Ella, I get she doesn’t have Baby’s appearance but people make connections from what they know. When they see Ella (without knowing Ella existed), they see a clown girl that is meant to kill Mike’s sister and become a vessel for her soul. When I first saw her, I wasn’t like « Oh, that’s Baby ! », but more like « Ok, so that’s this continuity’s Baby, I guess ».
People’s assumptions are based on what they know. You cannot blame them for making bad connections when they lack the key elements.
@@ultimate-phenix It helps that movie watchers are just kinda dumb sometimes, as they don't care too much about the movie they're watching. It seems like anyone with an active brain would, if not immediately notice the missing ear, odd eyes and colors, quickly know that the Golden Haired Kid (Cassidy, if you think so) probably isn't the same Hat Wearing Kid (Gabriel if you would) that lured Max, or at least would realize there's a whole fifth kid they should probably not try calling the cupcake.
But that's if they care. Some people just don't care about Freddy Fazbear's Bizarre Murderventure, so it's not all their fault that the movie isn't appealing to them that well.
@@MrHAH-cd9ku It also doesn't help that the blond kid is wearing a BROWN t-shirt while the hat kid has a flashy yellow t-shirt.
I mean, come on...
When I saw the movie, I totally thought the Hat Kid was the Golden Freddy one because of that (until the moment when blond kid appears in the form of the bot) but that's just Scott being bad at showing symbolism just like the MikeTrap thing
56:17
some people dont realize but the reason for the classics look different makes alot of sense, fazbear ent changed the endos to endo 01 (the first endo to a fazbear crew), and so they brought back the og suits (yup, i said it, the "unwithereds" are NOT the 1985 designs)
the endo 01 was made before the endo 02, and the endo 01 doesnt have facial recognition terminator BS (I HATE WHEN FNAF 2 BROUGHT THIS IDEA, in fnaf 2 the animatronics were just animatronics, not literal terminator robots in the 80s, in fnaf 1 they were just chuck cheese robots, just that)
Here's a hot take:
FNAF is being held back by its' insistence on being a horror game. The game is much more interesting as a character study and universe to explore, and the jumpscare elements are just a cling to tradition. The next fnaf game should lean more heavily into the puzzle exploration from security breach and nearly abandon jumpscares in favor of exploring an abandoned location with animatronics.
Maybe a Zelda style game where you go from attraction to attraction, freeing the animatronics from glitchtrap corruption, and using their abilities to solve puzzles in a Zelda dungeon style setup
personal hot take: i actually kinda enjoy security breach. i haven’t played it myself, but i’ve seen it upon release day, and i’ve enjoyed it. sure, it has a PACIFIC OCEAN of flaws, but i still enjoy it. mostly for the visuals and characters. plus, the bugs are really funny.
also, i like Vanny a lot. shes my favorite villain from fnaf (so far). i just wish she had at least 10 minutes more of screen time.
the visuals of security breach (in trailers and the nvidia trailer) are amazing, though ive never seen them replicated ingame
Do you think that lefty could be a refurbished carnie? This is a very long shot, im talkin 100 yard football kick, but it's just some fun thoughts that could conjure up something in the community.
If you look at burnt carnie's model, you can just barely see that his right eye is more withered. You may have to squint. But say that at that time his right eye got replaced because it was the most damaged of the two, after decades of collecting dust and rotting away, the untouched eye could have decayed to the point of becoming black. As Henry repared carnie to become lefty, the original eye may have stayed or been replaced with a new black eye for a unique touch.
A more realistic approach could be the lefty's design is INSPIRED by his burnt orginal. The eye rotted eye i just mentioned could have inspired the black eye detail.
One specific character of that I think could drive home this theory is the color. Burnt carnie is a muted brown with white char accents. But if you were to scrape all of burnt plastic off, you be left with a black tarnished metal. Notice that lefty is not solid black, but a metalic, gun metal black.
I think it is possibe that lefty is either a repaired version of carnie, with it's new design based on the chared scraps of the original, or lefty was a completely different animatronic who's build was inspired by the remains of his counterpart.
By the location of Fazer Blast and hint we see, I think that carnie was most likely a part of Fall Fest(most likely the 1970 event) if so, do you think it's possible that carnie was one of Henry's first animatronics. That was a whole decade before our first look at fredbears.
Whether or not Fredbear's opened before 1983. I highly doubt that it was an establishment before 1970. I noticed that there is no sign of Freddy’s or Fredbear's on the poster. Which leads me to believe that this fall fest may have predated everything.
The running theory is that the mediocre melodies were his first animatronics, made to rip off Freddy’s fame. But being that we see an animatronic a decade before that, that closely resembles one of his final animatronics. It really seems that carnie could be his first.
Here's some food for thought. Henry has been deemed a copycat in the early timeline for the mediocre melodies. But if he made his first BEAR animatronic at a children's theme event in 1970, is he really the copycat? If William stole the idea and made Fredbear's, and Fredbear's became as big as it did. No one would bat an eye at a small carnival with a simple bear animatronic.
I don't know if I like this idea, but I'm just throwing everything I got to see what sticks. Is it possible that William set the carnival on fire to one, preventing it from becoming more successful. And two, to take that idea and reuse it for himself. I don't think he was pure evil at this point, or really evil at all. But it's still just a thought.
I don't really think that lefty is a remade carnie. I think it's possible that the design could have been inspired by the withered design. But I doubt that they put that much thought into a connection like that.
I am pretty confident, though, that carnie was most likely the first and that Henry was never really the copycat. But more so, tried to reclaim the ideas stolen from him later on after William's fame.
Long comment but I read the first half. It’s actually a great idea but that means that’s Carnie was built with puppet capturing mechanisms which has some lore implications. I might need to think about this when trying to build a timeline

I have a few hot takes:
1. Scott or SteelWool need to come up with a cohesive timeline with accurate dates of the universe events.
2. The Novel Trio and the two separate books series should be their own separate universes.
3. We need a William Afton prequel game or book to explain why he became a murderer.
I know these aren't the hottest of hot takes. Just things that pop into my head from time to time.
You know the lore is broken when we doesnt even know the animatronics versions from the 1985 location
For the 3rd one no we dont.Afton was born evil,he is evil in all timelines for no reason so he is in the games too.He became a murderer bc he is obsessed with immortality and bc he is a psychopath
4:58 and also this part of "Being controlled by Glitchtrap" really strips any characterization for her... i don't mind the idea of a copycat killer and her just being obsessed with afton and worshipping him... kinda like tiffany with chucky and of course harley with joker... but we didn't even get that (talking about the games) she... doesn't have anything going on with her... but i think its just my preferences to the story having the games be more relevant than the Books... :/
so this comment isn't that valid...
edit: just realized she said what i thought seconds after lol
By afton you mean someone else interlly trying to be him
@@andreix4025 yes, but not literally controlled by him, just inspired
I find myself always at least understanding if not agreeing with a lot of these hot takes. It is also really nice to see what people think about the rather obscure parts of the series with your added commentary since I really resonate with a lot of your opinions on the series in general
I have to disagree with the take about FNAF 1. The suspense, the gameplay tension, the setup, the ambience (consider the video about FNAF 1’s use of audio) were all done amazingly! Especially considering Scott Cawthon was just a guy working on the game by himself
Can we all agree that NotRealName is allowed to paraphrase the longer comments? I really appreciate wanting us to be heard with our own words, but, madame, please, you need to breathe.
The last essay was kind of infuriating me honestly. Lots of rambling, she really should've just paraphrased it for our sake. We really don't need to know about that dude's fan models for his hot take.
Here's not-really-a-hot-take that's more a question I never really heard anyone ask:
The Puppet being more aware than the other animatronics is a big part of the plot but... why exactly? I mean why is he more aware? Help Wanted 2 basically confirmed that Charlie wasn't the first to die unlike what most people believed, so it's not connected to that. Is it because her body isn't inside the animatronic? Why would that make a difference? There's a lot more of these widely accepted things in FNaF that I've never seen anyone question, but this is the one that irks me the most.
That’s a great point that doesn’t get brought up often. I have similar feelings and questions for Golden Freddy. They are different than our main cast. We never really get an explanation for why
I think the souls of the Puppet and Golden Freddy woke up of their own accord, while the others had to get pushed in and woken up. It's likely the Puppet's abilities didn't exactly help any of them stay aware, and so only Charlie (and Golden Freddy's soul[s], who didn't need Charlie's help at all in the give gifts minigame) had that remembrance.
William and, to an extent, Elizabeth are also pretty aware compared to the originals, and they didn't get help waking up either (but Elizabeth is a bit of a weirdo since Baby is the character that speaks, whereas William, Charlie and the Golden Freddy soul[s] talk on their own).
"NOTHING WILL STOP THE RETURN OF THE SALT!"
24:34 GAHH! I have many mixed emotions. On one hand, I made it in, on the other hand not all of them did. Oh well, I'm still very happy.
HOTTAKE : circus baby is the scariest anamatronic like imagine a 7 foot circus clown walking around then the next moment shes opening her chest to give you icecream only to get scopped inside the next
The "Pizza Sim's nights are the worst in the series" one isn't a hot take, that's the goddamn 9th layer of hell
This is probably not a hot take But,
this series REALLY needs some lore confirmation or lore explanations.
Like 90%(probably an exaggeration) of theories rely on assumptions years old and we know for a fact that there is at least 1 retcon
With the book simultaneously aligning and not aligning with the games, it has gotten (in my opinion) more confusing
Also SB deserved some sort of story remake/fix, what the og story(or what could be gathered from the unused stuff) is genuinely really interesting
8:50, the corpse doesn't look human and has no bone is just maybey because it was springlocked and every bone was crusched to tini fragments and all organs eighter fell out of got scattered throughout the suit
plot twist henry emily and william afton were gay lovers and charlie, sammy and michael were just their adopted kids
Any photos of them with a wife is the other in drag
17:52 Gregory was never in the same room with Afton, so that cannot work.
The biggest twist of security breach should've been Misses Afton was the player in pizza sim and Michael should be the ceo of fazbear. That way the mimic could've easily been his way of putting his younger brother back together. Finish his fathers work.
While I am upset mine wasn’t included, you make amazing videos and can’t wait for your next hot takes ❤
Not too much of a hot take, but Gregory is a good character and deserves better than an "annoying short kid relying on Freddy" reputation (which, he sometimes is) and is honestly as good as Cassie, yes, there's the argument that "Gregory destroyed the animatronics unprovoked!", its not a decent argument, if he wasn't cut that much he might even be better than Cassie, but back to the main point--People say that he has no reason to dislike Vanessa or the animatronics, but its most likely from fear, we have to remember he's a kid and although he might make bad choices, he's not a bad character, maybe underdeveloped, but not bad.
[EDIT] People are also confused why he's untrusting of Vanessa and we have to remember he's a homeless child, he most likely had bad experience with adults, plus she's hostile and chasing him.
Hot take. Many of these comments were just "Here's how your fav is shit and my fav is better than yours". Like, all these Roxy, Bonnie, etc. is billion times better than [X characters but mostly it's Foxy] is just so annoying. You are kicking someone else enjoyment just to feel superior.
Roxy have more flashed out personality than Foxy... Yeah because NO DEV EVER FLASHED OUT FOXY PERSONALITY! Most of his "personality" were from non canon side game materials rather than from his own mouth.
It's like saying Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil 8 was more popular and have flashed out personality than The Licker from RE2.
« You are kicking someone else enjoyment just to feel superior. » Seems pretty coherent for Roxy fans, to me :v
(It’s a joke, I’m a Roxy fan too)
But to be serious, I agree. Fanbase wars are the worst.
I mean, you CAN argue that Roxy is a better character than Foxy precisely because she IS a character to begin with and not just an appearance.
But this is META-commentary. In the way they were handled, Roxy was handled better.
It doesn’t mean the character is bad, only that no writer did him justice.
In the end, every animatronic can be appealing. To this day, my favorite is still Mangle just because of the concept of a bot made to take care of kids, that was tortured on a daily basis, yet still continued to protect them (Phone Guy states the toys are still friendly toward kids, Mangle included… Even if they were probably possessed at that time, it just feels like this element was retconned)
You can have an appealing character just with a concept. Mangle’s line in AR only giving her a… Somewhat Roxy vibe ? With all the pride and beauty references.
But even if having people compare characters is frustrating, that’s what made Foxy himself overreated in the first years. From 1 to SL, Foxy was the fan-favorite, just because of his concept of the pirate, standing out of the crew and being constantly broken. The others felt… Plain compared to him.
So yeah, that’s being a jerk but that’s what the fans did for the last 10 years, unfortunatly. In the end, FNAF’s canon is just the most popular Fanon, so I’m sure SW will do something with Foxy one day (he’s the only OG that still appears technically with his « Captain Foxy » variant), he’s just too iconic.
My hot take is that William Afton either shouldn't have been the one responsible for the Missing Children's Incident in the first game, or shouldn't have been so high up in the corporate chain of Freddy Fazbear's.
I really like the cynical tone of Fazbear Entertainment as a corporate entity within the plot, where a ton of the books' stories could have been avoided entirely if the company prioritized safety and general well-being over profit, and would have preferred they covered up the killing spree of some rando by hiding the kids' bodies in the suits as opposed to William owning the restaurant and doing the slaughtering.
Some people might argue that the killer being the one in charge makes the company seem extra evil, but I would rather have the staff and higher-ups be completely anonymous. I want them to do everything they can to remain nameless and separated from these tragedies while keeping the crime scenes in business. We still don't know the identity of phone guy, so it could have worked
What's fun about that is that I don't think he ever *was* high in Fazbear's Chain.
He was high for *Henry's* Chain, being his partner, but that was the privately owned Fredbear's, as Phone Guy said he had to contact "the original owners" about Springbonnie or Fredbear getting moved around in FNaF 2.
Fazbear's as a whole seems to operate without Henry or William in control, as it presumably went bankrupt for a while between FNaF 1 and FNaF: HW, allowing Fazbear's Frights and Freddy's Pizza Place to be set up by a random person and Henry respectively. Circus Baby's was also William Afton only, so only the locations between 85 and 95 (FNaF 2 - FNaF 1) are Fazbear's Ent's properties.
(also, it's more likely The Puppet, Charlie, hid the children in bodies and neither William nor the Fazbear Ent figured that out for a while).
My FNaF hot-take:
The Mimic should be Burntrap, and both the Burntrap and Princess Quest endings of Security Breach should be canon
I partially agree, Burntrap as mimic feels really messy but the PQ ending and the Burntrap ending can *both* happen
@@BOPgamez09
How can it be messy? Mimic's just wearing Afton's charred flesh like a skinsuit
@@venomfan2020 but he has no ears. That’s one of the defining characteristics that make afton Springtrap
Burntrap and mimic are the same
@@andreix4025 not confirmed

No wonder the Talbert files became such a huge controversy
Hot take: if something from the new games contradicts theories about previous games, then the previous theories should be completely disregarded and/or redone. If we started fresh on solving everything with every game the lore might make a lot more sense.
Also, things like using the stitchwraith to confirm there being two souls in golden Freddy makes absolutely no sense. If it were a story about the golden boi that would make more sense but the stitchwraith is a completely different animatronic
This hour will be one of salt...
And I'm here for it.🍿🍿🍿
Hot Take : I don't necessary think Vanny HAS to be a puppet. I saw people saying the very concept of her being Glitchtrapped meant she couldn't be her own character but I can totally see how you Glitchtrap could have "corrupted" her without litterally "puppeteering" her.
I don't know how to say it clearly (and it doesn't help I'm not a native english-speaker) but I see it more as a "sickness" than a "parasite". Glitchtrap would not be "the one is command" like a pilot inside of a rabbit-shaped vehicule but more as if Glitchtrap had "taint" Vanessa's Soul. He unleashed the "darkness" within her. He gave her the "evil virus".
Thus, Vanny would still be Glitchtrap henchman (henchwoman ? Is that a word ?) but still be her own character. She is just the dark part of Vanessa. The "darkness in her heart" in you want to talk in "anime speech" :p
She would not be a object that Glitchtrap command but a "pupil" he teaches and trains.
I mean, the whole creation of Vanny was a failed, interrupted "fusion" between her and Glitchtrap. It could very well mean she developped some of his "personality traits" without directly erase her entire identity or make him her "pilot". I mean, he's not IN her. He's still in the informatic system, that's the end of Help Wanted, he failed to escape.
With this interpretation, I would have LOVED Vanny to betray BurnTrap. Being done with the threats and abuses but still being evil. That would have been perfect to make her the new villain. The problem when series like FNAF let their previous villain "die" and use a new one is that the narrative HAS to top the previous one for the players to still feel this is serious business.
But there's the question : how do you top Afton ? He's litterally the immortal villain that keeps coming back. Death itself is nothing to him.
Well, Vanny could just use his own power against him. Afton's biggest weakness has always been his hubris. He doesn't see Vanny as anything else than an thing that will listen to him. But doing that, he taught her how to go inside of the Pizzaplex system and control it. He taught her how to make sure the bots are unable to attack her (thanks to the mask). He taught her how to take control of actually sentient mechanical lifeform... And what is Burntrap now if he isn't a sentient mechanical lifeform that ties with the Pizzaplex system ?
That could have been a blast, Vanny betraying him and taking control of him as just another robot/virus/sentient being she already took control of. And that could have made her a truelly threatening villain : No one could "win" against Afton. He always came back. Every single time you try to end him, he just came back. No one won against him. But Vanny would have. She used his teaching to beat him at his own game. We already saw she was a better killer than him with all the disappearances stated in SB endings. She's not just his pupil anymore. There is a time for the pupil to surpass the master. She not overpowered like Afton but she's smart. Insane but smart enough to know how to do her evil deeds "properly". Outsmarting Afton, letting him think he was the mastermind, while she was manipulating him all along.
That's how you top Afton and present Vanny as a viable threat for the future of the series...
But that's just fan fiction, right ? ^^''
Here's another hot take
In the Gumdrop Angel, Angel the older sister had every right imo to not like her step sister. She got everything she wanted, her parents loved Ophelia more than Angel and overall she was just a brat. And all Angel did was eat that piece of candy that was for her sister and got turned into a whole pinata for a birthday party. She didn't even get to go on that date with the boy she met at Freddy's which I really hated.
I hope this gets into your next video, if you make one, and I love your content and hope you have a wonderful day

That’s funny because I have the exact opposite mind image. I don’t picture Charlie having NotRealName’s Voice. I picture NotRealName having Charlie’s appearance IRL XD
Attempt #3 of trying to get into these videos
Hot take: As someone who has read all the books. stichlinegames and even talesgames have so many red flags that people just overlook when it comes to the games continuity for some reason. People treat these theories as 100% TRUE AND IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE IT YOU ARE COPEING AND HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS. well...I have...and I'm not convinced. If it turns out to be in the games continuity, that's totally fine! People just treat it as gospel when there are many points against it.
Yeah, the books' stories *all being canon* (or even just the Tales from the Pizzaplex all being canon) would make everyone in the games look like a total idiot. For just one example, you remember that story where the kid takes home some paper-cutting nanobots and they start slicing HIM up? So the Pizzaplex has a bunch of nanobots that can very easily be made to cut a human into tiny pieces, but no one who was trying to kill Gregory thought to use the uncounterable swarm of robots that could easily kill Gregory...to kill Gregory.
not necessarily a hot take i guess? but hearing all of these now that i've started college for game development has made me aware that a lot of people think that every detail in every game is intentional when... many times it just isn't.
different voice actresses? could be scheduling conflicts and a tight deadline. a certain object or thing being repeated? reusing assets to save money. characters being missing? part of a segment that had to get cut for a myriad of reasons. a model being featured in the files going unused? possibly a placeholder.
sometimes a story is just a story, and a game is just a game. the form of storytelling fnaf uses has probably lead to games where everything has to be millimetrically perfectly placed, because otherwise, it's interpreted as an intentional clue, and that's just... not how game making works.
My hot take is that Burntrap and the Mimic are not the same thing. My friend and I have actually made a three part video essay explaining why, because unless canon directly confirms it, I will die on that hill. Vanny has no reason to do ANY of the things she does hinted throughout the game's lore and hidden tapes if it was just a mimic-machine this whole time. The Mimic just wants out and has an entirely different motivation from what we know about him in the books. I know to take the books with a grain of Salt, but I just can't see the Mimic and Burntrap as the same person and i have written videos and multiple essays on this topic.
THIS ! YES ! THANK YOU !!!!
Its really messed up that people blame the fans for how SB failed. Being a fan at the time, the entire community was absolutely raving with excitement about SB teasers and trailers; to the point where we were against OTHER people who were complaining about SteelWool delaying release since we all thought SW was cooking up one the biggest fnaf releases the series have seen.
The reason SB is so clowned on is because despite fan hype, multiple delays, and massive promises from Steel Wool themselves, SB came out barely functioning day 1, and still is left in an unfinished state with so much cut content you could make another entire game out of it (Ruin DLC).
It wasn’t the fans fault SB was a disaster, it was entirely on Steel Wool and probably Scott
Hot Take: Burntrap and the Mimic are separate entitites. Perhaps they share a connection through Glitchtrap but they are NOT the same.
Burntrap not being in his pod in Ruin seemed to hint to this with Help Wanted 2 seeming to reinforce this.
Another hot take: Elizabeth is Vanny either in a separate yet identical body (thanks, Fire Escape ending 🫠🔫) or as the "alternate personality" sharing Vanessa's body. Her playful animations (both in-game and cut) and cut voicelines (which have both a little girl's voice and ghostly ambience) make me think so. Then there's *so much* about Vanny's ending in Help Wanted 2......
There is a vent inside of the Mimic's room that has Burntrap's right hand's prints so yes he IS out of the charging station.Where is he tho?Sealed behind a wall cuz he is the Mimic, also notice how the Mimic's right hand is discolored compared to the rest of the body while the hand that looks like Burntrap's is not
Auditory processing issues are a thing, like some people with autism being unable to tune out the background noise to focus on what someone is talking
I say this not to armchair diagnose, just to say having perfect hearing and being able to process audio are two different things lol
Yeah, it sucks that the game doesn't account for that
31:39 yes you should go play Yo-Kai PLEASE EVERYONE ITS SUCH A GOOD FRANCHISE
(Warning it's currently only in English for the 3Ds, all Switch releases have yet to be localized. Also here's some bait: made by level 5, the company that also made the Professor Layton franchise and Inazuma Eleven stuff)
17:01 Michael Shafton?! What?! Now that made me laugh! Always the unexpected is the most hilarious!
Btw I think the reason William aftons flesh still remains is because of 1 thing: remnant heals your wounds, and or injuries, as the remnants energy and power, if used, can fully regenerate your body, of course, you can still look off, but you can still look like a flesh monster, which William will probably never go back to normal human because..the springlocks probably made that impossible, but Micheal, if his injuries weren’t entirely fatal, which they kinda are..it depends because Micheal can still kinda stand up after his bones are gone, anyways it is possible mike could have not looked like purple zombie his entire life after sl, as the remnants energy would heal you, this also kinda explains burntraps ears and why there’s flesh growing on them, it’s because (if burntrap = aftons) body has been stuck in the suit for so long, the flesh regenerated and got connected/stuck to the suit
The thing is that this happened way before Remnant was a thing, back in Fnaf 3. Likely it was, at the time, just a modeling issue.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 ik lol, it just kinda explains it..lorewise lol
I don't know how hot this take really is‚ but here it's is: I actually really like The Mimic‚ most(with a few exceptions)of FNAF‘s antagonists or villains have either been robots possessed by spirits or other supernatural forces. To have the next big main villain of the franchise be an actual evil robot is really neat‚ especially considering the franchise already resolve around killer robots anyway. Also The Mimic being Glitchtrap/Burntrap is a cool idea to make Afton's legacy felt without the need for him to cheat death wants again. And given that he is basically an ai that trained itself on learned behavior from a serial killer‚ given the current controversies and discussions surrounding ai‚ he (The Mimic) could serve as a cautionary tale of what happens when an ai learns from the wrong source.
I would really like to have your opinion on this
I strongly agree. While I personally think Mimic could be better as a side antagonist than the main villain, he does have good potential.
Here's hoping he doesn't get The "Michael Shafton" treatment.
Hot Take: I personally think Charlie and John as survivors for a potential DBD collab would work best as each are essentially the main focus in the Trilogy books. You could make Jessica and Carlton and perhaps even Baby as legendary skins. You could also make an aged up Gregory as a survivor for a Vanny chapter mayhaps… Abby legendary too…?
As for setting. You could make the map the abandoned mall from the first book that connects to the pizzeria.
Love it whenever you do this NotRealName.
12:57 THAT COULD’VE WORK THO
Seriously springtrap slowly regressing into something that’s pathetic and harmless could really be poetic of Gregory destroying him for good, maybe at the point he’s at that he just accepts his fate, just so tired of Living being immortal is not what its all crap up to be. It’s agonizing to slowly decay into a bunch of purple goo only still fighting because a new villain(maybe Vanessa/Vanny) is telling him to continue fighting.
I still think the reason monty stoped being relivent, is because we turned him into a joke in sb with all the messed up versions of him, stuff like giga monty and alpha monty
Hot take : the original story line should have ended at FNAF 4 with Sister Location being a completely new story with new characters
Hot Take: Five Nights at Freddy's Lost It's Charm After UCN and Should've Been Rebooted At Help Wanted
I think I might be on an island with this, but I feel like the games after Ultimate Custom Night had lost their edge. Yes, I'm aware that Scott collabed with Steel Wool and Illumix with these newer games and don't get my wrong, the Help Wanted games and Ruin are really stand out!
But the Clickteam Era of games had that unique spice to the games that made them feel lively and unique. Some parts of these newer games feel too off-putting, and kinda soulless in parts. Especially when you see the newer models of the old characters, and try to continue on this insane story that should've ended with FNAF 6 and UCN. If anything, from the time span of FNAF 1 to UCN, it was basically the peak of the franchise within those 4 years!
I think this series should've been rebooted after UCN. You can still use some of the characters and settings, but Help Wanted should've been a fresh new start with new stories, and should've put the Afton Family Saga to rest.
Hot take: The box's contents don't matter and never have, The box represents every secret hidden from us, every unsolved mystery, everything we accepted as canon but wasn't.
This is really is a hot take because I hate the box and everything that it stands for. It perfectly represents Fnaf as a story, intentionally convoluted and obscure, because the contents are ultimately hollow, and the answer is nonexistent.
Sorry for the extension your videos really make me think.
Something i've been thinking lately it's:
"Our problem here, is that we don't know who our problem is."
I wouldn't have care if they make Vanessa the new main antagonist, "a fangirl of purple guy who takes it too far" it would be something totally new for the franchise and in HW1 felt like a well written next episode, even she's the only character that appears in all the new games, short times, but appears, of course, SB drive her very bad, but future games could have done it better. But, nooo, "the canon ending have to be the one where she gets freed" (hope not).
On an AR mail, Luis said that there's someone who she is covering like "her boyfriend" and in the tapes, a therapist said her interaction with the computer person is "getting more serious" (whatever that means), all could fit so well, and it's ironic that the most """normal""" couple could be one between afton and vanessa of the games (especially because it doesn't involve adults with robots or children, which could be incredibly akward), we have a good potential villain, but we're afraid to take it and we keep searching paths where she team up with the good ones leaving us without enemy, at least she's here for now, what keeps my hopes up (until next game at least)
And when you ask for the mimic. The principal reason for why i feel boring mimic as the main antagonist it's because i see him more as a weapon than a "villain", he only attacks by programming, it's only a destruction force, even imitates others, so doesn't have personal goals and this leaves him limited future plots.
Mimic's plan:
Step 1: Get free
Step 2: keep killing?
Our rabbit hole can resume in this:
Afton? "We're tired of him!"
Mimic? "He's totally a retcon!"
Vanessa? "No, she's not evil!"
Glitchtrap? "We don't even know who is it!"
Get back old characters like Elizabeth? "Same as afton!"
Use a book character? "Boo!"
Keep up the good work, i recently start to watch your videos and i loved them.
"And when you ask for the mimic. there is a small trigger button inside me, and it only activates when reading takes like these (lol), now tell me, have you read the books? even if you did, most people don't tend to focus on important details and still call the mimic bad lol
if he attacks by programming, why did he rip the head of the doll that was staring at him but left the rest which he saw by himself in one of the epiloques, despite his order being "break off limbs and heads of endo-like figures" which goes to anything remotely similar to an endo, including humans, so why didn't he rip the heads of the rest if he follows his programming as you claim?
It's noted by his creator, Edwin, that the mimic did things beyond his programming, like responding and taking compliments, which surprised him, even showing signs of grief post-david's death, and he even has Claustrophobia as seen in one of the epiloques, etc...
then hey, on the contrary of the games, why does the post-it room in SB, which belongs to the mimic, has too many signs of an AI going alive in it, even a binary code that translates "why is I?", a literal existential crisis question, seems weird for an endo who's AI is basically "observe, learn and mimic" to ask itself an entire existential question for some reason, if it's meant to follow it's programming, etc...
there are tons of evidence that the mimic isn't a mindless AI that just went wrong because bad daddy figure, but an endo that was influenced by human emotions, has memories with humans, acts like a human, and even has a personality akin to a human
the mimic doesn't follow his programming, and he isn't even close to being a retcon btw, and we know what malhare is at this point
I was always talking about how FNAF 4 had the bite of 87 but never thought to look at the game files to see if it had any clues. Thank you for shedding light on it (though I guess it's not 87 anymore)
Maybe I’ve just zoned out since the matpat theory but I thought we all agreed the crying child died and was brought back as Gregory, like, he wasn’t forgotten about… he’s right there, and his brother Michael and sister Elizabeth are there too as Glamrock Freddie and Vanessa/Circus Baby, I know not all of that is concrete but I thought we all could tell Gregory is the echo of the Crying Child
That's a theory, but there's not really anything backing it except that they wear similar shirts if you really think about it. And Gregory cries in two endings. And considering that Fnaf reuses names and backstories, it could be on purpose, could not, could be a reference, could be an accident.
Usually though I hear people talking derogatorily about the Crying Child being Gregory theory. I think it came up once or twice in some of the older hot takes. It lines up with Glammike theory of being things people either like or dislike.
I really do hate how Afton went from a very realistic serial killer to what's essentially The Scarecrow form the Batman comics.

I don't think I've ever disagreed with a hot take so hard in my entire life.
It's almost never the fanbase's fault if a story goes sideways.
They're not the one at the keyboard actually dictating where the plot is going.
Hot take: TJOC and Fury's Rage take place in the same universe.
Explanation: Both take place in the real world and Scott is under some form of attack (even if perceived).
I always love the titles of these hot take videos.
Hot take: I'm just sad that now the community is arguing all the time and getting mad at each other for no reason, I'm in the fnaf fandom for 10 years soon, and everyone is just trying to say their opinions now, but they do it by humiliating the opinions of others or by throwing mud at everyone who thinks otherwise. It's happening in all the fandoms now, which is just sad, I just want it to be fun. I think that everyone should just take everything easier and just have fun, and not try to prove something for no reason, saying that "all new games are stupid" or "motivation is bullshit, that game is nonsense and in general let's stop having fun". There are so many opinions in the world, you can't speak for everyone.
Finally, someone who sees how toxic the Fnaf fandom has gotten. You earned my respect.
To be fair, I've been hearing people saying the fandom is toxic since... 2015. It's just that the fandom was much more niche back then so you weren't confronted to the rude ones if you wandered in the good zones.
Let's be honest, the whole war about Mangle's gender back then shows that FNAF fans being toxic about one's opinions is not a new thing
@@ultimate-phenixthe whole mangle gender discussion was funny at best, but the whole book debate needs a anwser, just not harass scott over that
@@Wizardjones69 I get the debates about Mangle's gender were about irrevelant back then. But when you're talking about toxicity, the debates weren't "nicer".
I saw people aggressively defending MatPat's theories as if his words were holy.
I can understand the frustration but saying it's a "new thing" is just a Recency Bias
saying the puppet was in the box actually ties up 1-4 (or how it was before any other games) very nicely for me. who or whay is golden freddy in this case? idk maybe the nightguard feeling guilty and hallucinations induced by stress and/or sleep deprivation (also caused by stress?) and (going crazy here) his jumpscare was him finally passing out and thats why the game crashes, because Michael litterally crashes lmao. assuming hes the nightguard idk if i really can bc i forgot whats from where but I will anyway
I can definitely relate to the hearing issues. My ears are pretty sensitive and sometimes I don’t have trouble hearing people whispering ten rooms away. Other times, I can barely hear someone speaking directly to me. It also doesn’t help that my ears are different in terms of their ability to hear. I also tend to hear with both ears, so I am really bad at distinguishing which side a sound came from
For very complicated childhood reasons, my right ear can hear a lot better than my left ear. Both are sufficient for everyday communication, I don’t have any issues when driving or even having a conversation, but one just can’t hear as well, especially very quiet sounds. This leads to frustration, because I’ll miss a sound entirely, even when I’m listening for it.
Turning the sound way up isn’t a great solution, because there’s a lot of noise in the games intentionally. It’s there to make it harder to hear things. On top of that, the jumpscares can be very loud. That’s part of the horror, jumpscares are more effective when they’re louder. It also really makes my ears ring when there’s a sudden loud noise, which is not good when my hearing is sensitive already.
I love the FNaF games, but I wish there were more accessibility options. Watching other people play is so much more enjoyable, because they can seemingly actually tell what’s going on. Even knowing the mechanics like the back of my hand, I just can’t hear the audio cues. There should be an option to make the cues louder, add visual elements (like a slight colour change), or let us actually see the animatronics. I don’t have any kind of disability, but it kinda sucks that there are people who are deaf or hard of hearing that just can’t enjoy games like FNaF 4. There’s just nothing there for them. We can have colour blindness options, why not something for audio? I know some people think that would make the game too easy, but it doesn’t have to be that way. You could just not use those features. It would let more people play and enjoy the games.
You can still watch and enjoy movies and even concerts if you’re deaf or hard of hearing. I think it’s a real shame that such a condition would keep anyone from getting to play these games that they may otherwise really enjoy.
I 100% agree with sister location being underrated,
I Absolutely love the designs of the animatronics, aswell as the sci-fi elements
Hot take: William Afton is Springtrap and becomes one with jelly.
The yellow bear section was way too long lol good video though
Kinda crazy how the Toys: only lasted a few weeks for 2, got scrapped, boxed in 3, yet voiced in UCN, multiple AR skins, even the Glamrocks share many design traits.
And the Withereds, I do feel their designs feel a bit underused for what was probably their initial look. Something only FNAF 6 did. Like, the Classics in the '95 Silver Eyes is okay, but the '85 Into the Pit? I get the comic would slip up, but why the upcoming game?
Indeed, the off putting look is pretty much canonically why they got retired and refurbished. My main gripe would probably be the endos not matching the Classics if they're meant to be the same, especially when the idea of melting them into a new shape loops into Molten MCI territory.
guess this is a hot take as well but I actually liked the fizzy faz levels in HW2, it was a pretty neat resource management game and explored an area of the pizzaplex we don't really see in anything else. the final levels can also be a pretty good challenge especially if trying to go for no mistakes. i can see the argument saying that there didn't really need to be 5 levels for it tho
Hot takes so hot that William wishes he could of freeze to death inside Henry’s labyrinth
The books aren't canon.
And so everthing in the series if we count all the inconcistencies, every game would be in a different universe
Hot take
Vanny being Vanessa is a bit cheap and predictable. I wish they were separate characters.
When Vanessa was first teased with the protect poster and other concept art I was excited to have a playable female night guard in the game, since that’s what it seemed like she’d be. Then everyone started theorizing that she’d be vanny, largely just based on their names at first, and I thought “No way they’d do that that’s too predictable and cheesy even for steel wool” but… I was wrong.
I feel like it would’ve been way more interesting for her character, and the game, for them to be two separate people, and for the Vanny persona to be sorta pinned on Vanessa as a cop out for the actual person behind the mask.
It would also be cool since it would mean Gregory has someone on his side that isn’t a robot and the actual Vanny is still out there.
I'm not trying to be rude, but I agree that I don't like the “It's the community's fault” comments I've seeing. I know there are bad theories or something like that, but the fans still try with Fnaf even if though the lore is messy, which shows a loyalty
I think helpwanted relies heavily being on VR, which i think is okay. But i imagine part of why it feels so unatmospheric is playing in the no VR modes, but thats just my feling. also if Fizzy Faz isnt stimulating enough, try adding more caffeine.
The Yellow Bear Hot Take made my head spin.
I think Roxanne’s whole “ soft spot for cassie “ was nice. it gave off the vibes of “ I hate everyone else but you “ type thing. Also finding Willam afton hot is weird..
Here's my hot take: Glamrock Freddy should have been a villain, let me explain myself, when i first saw and heard Glamrock Freddy i expected kind of like a backstab from him. It would have made a really cool twist but i guess we can't get everything we want.
hot take, they should do the animatronic pov game, but you play as glamrock bonnie, so we learn about the potentially toxic dynamics between the earlier days of the glamrocks. it would be a good way to introduce lore, worldbuild, and step away from the “find the kidnapped children” and step inside the mind of the haunted conflicted animatronics
I thinks security breach is overall over-hated. I think people forget that steel wool studios is a much smaller studio in comparison to a company like blizzard or rocksteady. There the backlash for those companies feels justified not only have a much larger fan base but also a lot more resources and money. Yes steel wool did promise us something big but back then they had Scott to help manage fan expectations. I still believe security breach is a game of incredible highs and incredible low 6/10 I give an extra point because steelwool is clearly passion about the fnaf series.
Steelwool noman's sky'd themselves with feature creep. It's not like a spiderman 3 situation where a bunch of stuff got forced in by the studio. Steelwool could have made a more humble game and polished it. You literaly couldn't beat the adton fight on release. They deserve no sympathy
@@alexs7670in this case every indie game doesnt deserve simpathy for being broken at launch
That's correct. You and I, the paying customer, deserve a game that at least works. I don't require that I will like a game, only that it works. I don't know if I like the burntrap fight because I couldn't get it to work.
This isn't my fault, and it isn't the fault of any other person who purchased it. It is steelwool's.
At any point they could have scaled the game back to a more linear, polished experience, like just the chika pizza, dj music man, montey, and roxy and daycare encounters, with a bit of post game exploration for mini games.
They didn't.
Okay, consider this: You want the Puppet to be in the Box. The Mimic being in the Box is a possibility the writers could do for the main game.
But what if The Puppet WAS The Mimic all along?
(I know this is a terrible idea but suggesting it was funny, no regrets, it's not worse than a Puppet + Mimic fanfic set in the Box)
Well damn, pretty great vid! Not much to say for the takes themselves, but mayybe a bit of editing criticism, for the whole "Yellow Bear vs Golden Freddy" part, maybe have the images shown fit with what the comment says at a given moment? Like, at times it's one being described while the other is being shown, which made it a bit confusing to follow at times considering those two are, well, the same character and all.
Also the Scraptrap design is still the worst even compared to the Fnaf 1 cast. I mean, at least the Classic animatronics look realistic and fitting to the theme, as you said. It's similar to the part at 8:15, "Scott can't model actual humans" isn't a hot take, almost everyone agrees with that.
Again, great vid, loved it!
I don’t know if this would be considered a hot take or if it’s already been said, but ask someone who joined the Fnaf community around four years ago. I find it somewhat hard to understand the story since so much of it is made up of head cannons and theories, it’s really hard to know what’s actually canon and what’s not and even then with the creators changing up things from time to time it’s hard to keep up
I also feel like you won’t be able to get the full story without buying the books and when there’s always a discussion about Fnaf, the books always come up. I think it would’ve been easier if the books would have been their own separate timeline didn’t the plan to the canon Because now on top of buying games, they also have to buy books and you don’t necessarily have to buy the games or the books because you can watch others play or even here readings for free on RUclips but something about just taking your own time to get your own understanding of what something you actually enjoy so that’s why I brought security breach when it came out. It looked really fun and different from the other Fnaf games I seen come out when I was little. It was something new to me because I used to be terrified. Of the animatronics due to the stories that I’ve heard lingering around the Internet and my own friends, but after buying security breach, I felt like things just went down a tunnel because I didn’t understand story or the references and instead of spending hours and hours on my phone or laptop to figure out what these people were talking about, I could’ve easily bought a game or a book but the downside to buying the games in the books doesn’t make sense the developers and writers and it doesn’t help on the little things that they said so much now everybody thinks it can For the longest time I would look at Matt Pat (who I still absolutely adore ) and other creators as the truth, and instead of what they really worked so now unlearning all the information that I’ve learned in the last four years and actually trying to figure out what the true story is and I think the five nights at Freddy’s universe is so complex and it’s always changing that people might not actually find out what thecanon is
But like I said, I don’t know if that’s considered a hot take, but I’ve grown really fond of these videos and your channel all together for the last year or two and I would really love it if I was featured in a video or even had this comment liked
Perhaps both! 8D
Idk if this is a hot take, but help wanted canonizing the games in universe pissed me off because Scott sat down and decided that retconning the story that the community had spent years careful piecing together was a good idea.
my Hot take: FNAF security Breach's story should have been Gregory trying to find out what happened to everyone at the disaster that was Cassie birthday (this is blending the all staff meeting with ideas from ruin) only to find out that not only was Vanessa the one to do it but all of his friends (and even some of their parents) were killed in the mayhem and that they now posses the glamrocks.
call it a fan fiction but here's my list (with some placeholder names I guess)
Chica- Cassie
Bonnie- Lucas
Monty- Colton
Roxy- Grace (Cassie's mom and widow to Jeremy from Help Wanted)
Freddy- Gregory was specially chosen to be Freddy, hence why he was made his "protector"
i love this idea!
