As far as I know except for the cases when you have a child, you also need to provide a certificate that you speak Russian and know Russian history. Haven't heard about it in this video but that is an important factor. I mean, that is why my fiance and I were only taking into account applying for the permanent residency after we have a child.

In the halls of power where Putin reigns supreme,
A figure of intrigue, some say a living meme.
With judo skills and shirtless pics galore,
He struts his stuff, the alpha bear of yore.
In Russia's vast expanse, from Moscow to the Urals,
He wields his influence, with tactics quite feral.
From annexing Crimea with a sly smirk,
To suppressing dissent with a bureaucratic quirk.
Oh, Putin, the master of political ballet,
Where opposition vanishes without a trace, they say.
From oligarchs to journalists, no one's safe,
In this game of thrones, he sets the pace.
Yet amidst the bravado, there's room for jest,
Like riding horses bare-chested, quite a jest.
Or diving for ancient artifacts, no less,
Putin's antics often leave us in distress.
But beware, ye satirists, with words so bold,
For Putin's reach is long, or so we're told.
In Russia's realm, where humor can be risky,
Mocking the president? Now, that's quite frisky.
So as we laugh at Putin's macho display,
Let's hope our jokes don't lead us astray.
For in geopolitics, it's a serious game,
And Putin's legacy, well, it's quite a claim.

The "golden visa" sounded pretty good until he mentioned how many rubles that was. $500,000 US dollars is a huge investment. I want to buy, both an apartment and a dacha, but most of us don't have that kind of money. Looks like I may have to take the longer route to permanent residency unless the California lotto hits. Later in the video, Michale said outside of Moscow the investment is only 25 million rubles? So, is it dependent on the region you want to move and buy a house?

    • @catinforest
      @catinforest 6 дней назад

Yes, it depends on the region. Region gives u a residency quota and permit. But soon new migration law is coming, follow the updates. Why noone cares about Student visa? A Language school related to University can arrange the Student visa. U can prepare for Residency tests. Apply for a temporary residency quota, get a quota, apply for a temporary residency permit, go through tests: medical, language, history and law basics. Marks can be "3" at this stage, after that apply for a permanent residency permit, marks has to be higher. After passing tests again u can apply for a citizenship. This can take from 3 to 5 years (depending on your Language skills). Main thing here is to prepare papers: that u are not a criminal, have no debts, about your income rate, have medical info (book).

  • @catinforest
    @catinforest 5 дней назад

    Dan, privet :)
I hope u know, what u are doing. I mean, u rose very important topic of migration to Russia but I have some suggestions about it:
    1. Russian Government wanted to simplify the proceedure and I read an article about new thing coming (like Residency visa) but accroding to latests updates the prior target is to get thing in order whith migrants from Middle Asian.
    2. Political situation is dangerous, that is why u probably should divide and target the audience that can migrate under this circumstences and what visa center opportunities are (in US 1 visa center in Washington has been closed lately by US Government, now there are only 2 left: in Houston and New-York). Russian Ambassador in US said they don't have enough people to work out or process all request (due to US limited number of people in Russian Embassy).
    3. This immigrant lawyer company has been overwehlmed by requests (as it is said in comments under video).
    For example,
For people after 60 (women) and 65 (men) - they can get a quota, don't have to pass the Residency tests, allowed to buy property. The easiest proceedure.
For the rest it is more difficult.
    Another suggestion:
to move to another country (ex Soviet?) and get Russian visa there?
There is no time to make a mess from all the opportunities. And for immigrant companies that would be easier to specialize at one target audience, probably. They can share the market :)
    4. Good news is that now more quotas for temporary residency are available due to current situation agaist inviting people from Middle Asia to come to Russia as working power and settle here to rise the population - this policy failed.

Have u watched "Countryside Acres" ytchannel? They came on quota as farmers, but had to ask for Asylum 'cos realized that they are not ready for Residency tests. Just ask for Asylum in Russian Embassy. But still u won't be able to buy farmland in Russia in this case. Start with student visa at a Language school related to University, apply for a temporary residency quota, prepare all papers. Tests one can pass on "3" mark. After that - permanent residency tests, marks has to be higher. After that citizenships. This may take 3-5 years.
As a foreigner u can buy a flat or a house with 1500 sq.m. plot of land per a person.

@@Wild-Siberia Surprisingly, I disagree. I think Russia will return to it's explosive GDP growth trajectory at some point in the future. The United States is on such a path now because of the dual innovations of AI and Quantum Computing. Russia is on a temporary detour at the moment which I think will be over in 3-5 years. Prognosis is good though for the world in general and is something to look forward too. So Siberia might turn out to be a wise choice, financially. Too early to tell. Quantum Computing in the next 10 years will bring us all global weather forecasting, cures for disases that elude us (if you have time watch the 60 minutes video on Quantum Computing). AI growth will be phenomenal. NVIDIA is approaching a $3 trillion value and is growing like gangbusters.........it has a huge lead on GPU's which were originally designed for Computer gaming but are perfectly suited for regenerative AI. Bitcoin needs GPUs as well in their mining operations. That is the foundation for massive adoption of regenerative AI software (which is now in a slump). Anyway, very optimistic on the future. I think we are in a short term turbulent period right now for the next 3-5 years but it won't last beyond 2029-2030 at that point declining population will conflict with military actions. Even now China is having issues staffing the PLA despite it's massive military buildup, I am sure Russia has those as well. So does the U.S. Anyhow, my two cents. I think the U.S will have a financial reckoning due to the budget deficits but it is not going to be a collapse, it will be manageable. Right now U.S. Companies have an unprecedented $4 trillion cash horde. Not sure how long that will last before Congress says enough and increases their taxes...........we'll see. I see a bright future for Russia after this brief turbulent period which I believe is a reaction to rapid change in the world more than anything else.

@@mikhailshafeev9384 I would agree, the bottom line issue is not that we cannot afford it and in some cases not that one political party is against it. It is the history of the United States valuing individual freedom over everything else going back to 1776. Civil Libertarians fight a lot of rule changes that we need in place. Civil Libertarians are in large part to blame for a large chunk of the homeless. I will give you a recent example in another area though. Mass shootings in the United States which I will pick because I think @Wild-Siberia with his miiltary service will understand parts of this clearly. Always devolves into an argument about handgun or assault rifle control. I researched the issue in depth in one state after reading a fairly hard to find in depth news article about a mass shooting in one state. Turns out our HIPPA laws prohibit notification by DoD when they discharge someone whom they found to be too dangerous to allow access to rifles and ammo. HIPPA is a federal law that protects an individuals personal privacy. The DoD (Marines and Army both included) have a pretty good process for determining if someone can have access to arms or if they have to be restricted and discharged because they are too mentally unstable or just plain psychotic (2% of the US population is completely psychotic and they are hard to find or filter out sometimes). Anyhow, three of the past mass shooters in one state had mental issues in the Army and were restricted from access to arms and had to be discharged. Because of the HIPPA rules, DoD could not inform the local police or in one case the Parents of an individual that was discharged that they had mental issues and needed to be treated further. Civil Libertarians in the United States fight against changes to HIPPA in that area because they do not agree DoD or the Military provides enough due process prior to discharging someone with a mental discharge code. Personally, I disagree with that. Congress knows about this issue and has not decided how to fix or has not yet overcome the opposition, not sure which. So small example there but applies to homeless as well in a lot of cases.

I know what happened to her, and unfortunately it’s 100% true. Russia mast stay “stereotyped” and not resemble Hollywood. Masha Samoilova - a Russian school girl had a channel that was canceled. She was going to school, having fun with her friends. It felt like I was back in high school again. The atmosphere , the vibe 100% correct. It’s about the feeling that you get when you watch such videos. You and the other guys are different. Your videos don’t resemble Hollywood with the rush of feelings that are hard to describe. Masha’s videos did. Sasha’s energy’s the same. That’s the reason. Masha’s links led to a “removed by YT due to “community guidelines””. Then to an empty page. I wish I were wrong about this. But there’s two many “coincidences”. Every time I subscribe to a channel, it… gets canceled. I’m not into watching depressive stuff. I’m not even interested in Russell’s vids (he’s great just not my thing). I like normal stuff that resembles young life and inspires. As if trying to prove he's rugged and bold.

To crushing dissent with an iron fist within,
He plays the strongman, oh so grand,
But underneath, it's clear, he's built on sand.
His speeches drone on with bravado and pride,
Yet his actions often leave his people denied.
In Crimea, he flexed his military might,
Claiming land while the world took fright.
Oh, Putin, with your ploys and political games,
You've turned Russia's democracy into chains.
Your oligarch friends grow fat while many starve,
Yet you pretend to be the hero they deserve.
So as you strut and pose for the camera's view,
Remember, history will judge what you do.
