Facts. The thing is, people who know him say that Steve Martin works SO hard to get better at his craft. He got this good... very much on purpose. You're right that it should be studied, but few will give it so many hours as it takes.

Steve Martin’s films may not have performed nearly so well from the mid-to-late 90s onwards (although there were the occasional exceptions such as Bowfinger), but his gift of penning and delivering top quality comedic award show speeches has long been the gift that keeps on giving. Clearly stemming from his long-standing skills of writing and performing stand-up comedy, he’d be an obvious shoe-in for attending comedy roasts.

Love all these guys you can’t beat the 80s for launching so many great actors. Comedy was at its peak and don’t care what anyone says they were the the best movies that you could sit down with your friends to your gramma and just laugh.
