I had already updated to V2.0. I had no issues with that version and generally found the camera performed better. I have just updated from V2.0 to V2.01 and again no issues with the bonus of the settings and custom buttons were unchanged, no need to re-do these as was required in the initial update from V1.32 to V2.0.
I didn't do the first 3 steps before i updated my A1. I did do my normal run around the table 3 times and go 'whohoo whohoo whohoo' not sure if it helps but i am not changing a winning tactic.
just been out and it seemed to be doing 1% every couple minutes with airplane mode off so all wireless stuff on. but with airplane mode on it was 1% every 5 mins or so id say at a guess.
Great work Stuart. Just updated my A1 . My stored settings on memory card didn't work. But it is a good exercise to revisit all your settings once in a while. Excellent concise video . Look forward to giving it a go. Looking forward to meeting up soon Mark 👍
hi I am still running the 1.31 version on my A1 with no problems at all....if I need to update the firmware....should I have to updaTE the 1.32 den 1.35 and later 2.0.....or can I skip n update the latest firmware
if you are happy with it now you can leave it but if you go to sonys site you can download the newest version as it will give you the instructions as it installs 1.35 then does 2.02 as a brand new operating system
Yeah, I called Sony Tech and they acknowledged that 2.01 disabled WiFi and suggested 2.02 “fixed” that… then I asked “If 2.03 doesn’t work will Sony FIX my camera body for free?” “No” (And I have paid $$$ extra for Sony’s “extended warranty” but they don’t seem to want to commit to having to upgrade hardware at no cost 🤨 so I’m sticking with 1.32 as there is nothing that these FIRMWARE UPGRADED FROM HELL seem to provide that I need… and I’m not going to risk current functionality at the risk of having to PAY for their irresponsibility. (Not to mention those who say “I had no issue” and imply other users are lying (?) when the risk is paying $700 to fix a $6k camera… on an upgrade?!?) I’m satisfied with the A1 and two FX3s and full array of GM lenses that cost me some $20K to switch from Nikon for video shooting… but I will never buy another Sony camera or lens again and suggest others look elsewhere for their video Ecosystem!
I did not do the settings reset, nor the initialisation. Your video dropped after Mark Galer's. I updated the firmware, and then started to set up the camera again from scratch, via the camera, not the app. I quickly noticed that the camera started overheating terribly, and the battery drained quickly. Anyone else have the same issue?

have fun
The first thing the update does is do a full reset. No need to do it manually.
no harm. and it could be one reason why some are going wrong if it doesnt do it properly
Stuart, are you still experiencing the hang up/freezing on your camera after updating the firmware?
Nope its working perfectly
What is your experience with 2.01? Some people still seem to have BT/network issues…
Will be a video out soon but no issues at all on mine
Thx! And subbed 😀

just going out now with a full battery i shall report back.
I did 1.31 to 1.35 to 2.01 and no problems
I feel kind of out of touch because I do not recall Firmware 1.35. I'm on 1.32. Can I go from 1.32 to 2.01?
1.35 is in with the update 2.01 so you do both
Apologies, but you are speaking very fast - hard to understand ...
sorry , slow down video speed a bit?
Painful.
oh no did you hurt yourself. 😂
