I've always heard that adding ANY kind of sand to clay soil will give you a concrete type of soil, so, that last bit of the video, mentioning granite sand or angular sand, I would think it would be a poor choice of soil amendment for clay soil. The same for the lava sand too.
The greensand, I am not sure about since it is a pretty fine sized particle, not very sandlike.
I've seen a video where a gardener used several kinds of soil amendments to try to improve clay soil. And, the best results came from cow manure and wood chips. Thew cow manure added lots of worms and the crop grew best with it and the soil drained faster. Worm poo is also a great way to help clay soil get healthier, BUT, if you don't want to buy it, the cow poop will bring the worms in your soil too poop in it, it will just take a bit of time for the poop to get in there.
I personally have bought many soil additives that are out there already, mostly to use in potting soil recipes. But, I see that many can be used to help clay soil improve in texture too.
My soil is loam with lottsa rocks in it, but, I have 1 raised bed that I have clay soil in because I paid for 2 scoops of "topsoil", and I got clay soil. I think the guy got the first scoop, and it is in the bottom of the bed, and that is the "topsoil", but, the 2nd scoop had been the clay that was under that topsoil. It's a hugelkultur" bed, so, that clay soil will sink down anyway.
But, I want to improve it anyway, before it sinks down, it could be years before it sinks down much anyway.

Great info! Is the granite sand also referred to as 'decomposed granite'?
