@jonnyarnett CREATING THE ULTIMATE BASKETBALL PLAYER Wow, Jonny Arnett really went all out creating the ultimate basketball player! It's like he's crafting an NBA superhero. While his selections are thorough and captivating, I’d tweak a few attributes to reflect my own vision of the perfect player. Firstly, while having Gheorghe Muresan’s height (7'7") and Boban Marjanovic's hand size are great, I'd opt for the height and wingspan of Kristaps Porziņģis instead. His 7'3" height and 7'6" wingspan bring a rare combination of size and agility, with a skill set that can stretch the floor more effectively. For speed and agility, pairing Derrick Rose's peak speed with Allen Iverson's lightning-quick crossovers would create an unguardable offensive juggernaut. Iverson’s crossover is iconic and coupled with Rose’s speed, it’s a recipe for breaking ankles on the court. When it comes to defense, Scottie Pippen’s on-ball defense is legendary, but I would also infuse some of Kawhi Leonard's stoic defensive prowess and massive hands for stealing. Leonard's ability to stay calm and composed while locking down opponents is unparalleled. Arnett's pick of Steph Curry for limitless range is spot-on, but I'd enhance it with the shooting consistency of Klay Thompson. Thompson's catch-and-shoot ability is second to none, adding another layer of reliability from beyond the arc. And the leadership of Bill Russell is crucial, but incorporating the fiery competitiveness and game-changing vision of LeBron James would make this player not only a great leader but also a versatile playmaker who can inspire teammates by example. I'd bring in the clutch gene of Michael Jordan, of course, but for added big-game heroics, having the nerves of steel and iconic fadeaway jumper of Kobe Bryant is essential. Bryant’s work ethic and determination make him a natural closer in critical moments. For creativity and flair, Jason Williams’ flashy passes are an excellent pick. To add to that, Magic Johnson’s no-look passes and court vision would make our player an unprecedented assist machine, creating plays out of thin air. In terms of toughness and rebounding, Dennis Rodman's defensive versatility is superb, but I'd mix in Charles Barkley's brute force and relentlessness on the boards to ensure this player can dominate both ends of the court. In conclusion, while Jonny Arnett's perfect player is a fascinating mix of attributes from some of the game's greatest, my version incorporates a few different elements to enhance versatility and balance. It’s a testament to the richness of basketball history and the varied skills that different players bring to the game. But let’s be real-just imagining a player with all these combined attributes is the stuff of basketball fantasy!
Muresan on a fast break is 3 steps from one side of the court to the other. With others, it's a spectacle to see someone dunk from the free throw line. With him, it's normal.
Wall's Coast to Coast, Karl Malone's Running the Break, Wade's Splitting a Double, Shane Battier's Little Things, Ron Artest's Physicality, Pat Bev's Dog, Shaun Livingston's Midrange Game, and Draymond Green's Vocal Direction. I would change on-ball defense to Bruce Bowen, interior footwork to Kevin McHale, basketball IQ to Jokic, and outlet passes to Kevin Love. I would give Steph "shooting" and Dame "deep 3's".
That hypothetical player would be insane. He’d average 38 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals, and 8 blocks with 65% shooting from the field, 43% from 3, and 94% from the free throw line.
Along with at least 20 rings, because with the winning ability of Bill Russel, and then the longevity of Lebron, plus the availability of A.C... Yeah it doesn't matter if bro has G leaguers on his team, he's finna be convincing his team to go to war with him. (also bro is averaging far more than that lol. It's more like 70 points, 58 rebounds, and 18 assists, 15 steals, and 20 blocks, shooting 80% from the field, and 50% from 3. he has the height to snatch any rebound, and shoot over anybody from anywhere, and being fast asl, so nobody's finna keep up with him off ball. Plus the handles so he's not losing the ball often, and seeing everything on the floor he's not making no mistakes, plus the motor plus agility, and speed. Bro is literally god 😭
In NBA 2k this player would average 14 points per game, 19 rebounds, and 5 blocks if you moved the controller away from the player on the select screen and just watched the game play out with the AI VS the AI. Just because no matter what you do, no matter who coaches the team, no matter what offense they run. No matter how much you up the sliders on "feed the post". The AI will do everything in it's power to make centers trash and give them a ton of blocks and rebounds just because they are tall.
You have no idea how many basketball youtubers I have been bothering to make this video. You could start a series for this by going position by position.
Even with all the great players this sport has been blessed with, this custom player transcedes them all. It's crazy how far basketball talent can be pushed
Brilliant video! You were able to fulfill the promise of the title whilst also creating a compilation of the best players at each atribute of basketball and to top it off with paying respect to some of the greatest players (+ coaches) of all time, across the sport. Great job on this one, Jonny.
Bird’s shooting and clutch ability. Bird’s hustle and heart. Every great team needs a great scorer, a great rebounder and a player who hustles. For his Boston Celtics team, Bird was all 3! Seriously. Close your eyes and think of any great team you know. It would have players who do those 3.
You missed: Floping ability of Embiid Traveling ability of James Flagarant fouls abality of Artest Dirtiness of Draymond Green Technical fouls ability of Rasheed Wallace Figthing skills of Ibaka Dunking recognition of Wade Barking skills of Beverly Focus skills of JR Smith

Very cool video, Jonny! This is a great list of attributes. One of my favorites is the unselfishness of Jack Twyman. I remember your video about his friendship with Maurice Stokes. Ironically the only one I think you got wrong was the very first attribute. Players that tall are extremely injury prone and never tend to reach their full potentially. Someone like KD is a better option.
But he’s given the availability of AC Green and Longevity of Lebron. I’m assuming this hypothetical player operates outside the bounds of human physiology.
I actually REALLY enjoyed this video, I personally think you should do more of them. It suits your style and you seem happy and excited to talk about it, you could even make a more in-depth version of this video to explain why and how you chose the attributes of the players you did.
Loyalty like Kevin Durant Ability to win a ring like Chris Paul Mindset of Ben Simmons Jimmy butler's haircut Eyebrows of Anthony Davis Availability and Longevity of Greg Oden.
What are your thoughts on Lakers coming back against the Suns and overall their play so far. Do you think JJ is actually doing great as a coach or it's only 2 games so its hard to tell?
Made the perfect basketball player illustrated with Jordan Kobe who basically IS the same guy 😂 Great video I just thought it was a funny mashup for the ultimate player
Killer video dude! Who’s your all time starting European team? Can Jokic play the 4 & Arvydas play the 5? I got Luka, Petrovic, Kirilenko, Jokic, Arvydas dumb? Gasol/Dirk/Schrempf/Peja/Sarunas Not a fan of Parker

Give him the wit and Charisma of Charles Barkley, humbleness of Giannis, and perhaps the business savvy of Vinnie Johnson or Junior Bridgeman, both who are successful businessman outside of the NBA.
All the regular superstar attributes plus 1) doesn’t piss off superstar teammates 2) doesn’t wear out coaches 3) doesn’t get in legal trouble 5:50 Also, Bill Russell won 11 rings while dribbling like a 5 year old.
You forgot Charles Barkley interestingness. No matter what stage of his career, people paid attention to Charles Barkley, because he always had interesting things to say and do. Should give him David Robinson's physique, because, man, that man was BUILT. And lastly, and I don't know who to attribute this to, Isiah Thomas or Pat Riley, the lack of the disease of more. Isiah let his team contribute for the 1st 46 minutes, but when it counted, took over the last 2.
In my opinion, my basketball player Overall Athletic Ability: Bron (DROSE for agility and quickness) Court Vision and Playmaking Gifts: CP3 (Magic for Court Vision.) Motor: Wilt (Mf played 48.5 MPG WHILST PLAYING 80 GAMES) Intangibles: Mamba Overall Offensive Versatility: Durantula 3-ball, off-ball movement and Spot-up shooting: The Splash Brothers (Curry and Klay) Overall Defensive Versatility: Rodman On-ball Defence: The Glove Rim Protection: Mount Mutumbo (R.I.P) Clutch Gene: The Logo Scoring Ability: Air Jordan Leadership skills: Bill Russell Physical Strength: Ben Wallace basically it, literally just thanasis
Every once in a while, I wanted to pause the video and comment you overlooked this characteristic of that player, but you would mention this same characteristic of that same player after a couple of seconds. Great compilation of skills. I hope that player will never appear on the hardwood. 😁
Jonny, while I was watching this video, I immediately thought of a player through the history that had the most of these overall qualities. He wasn't 7'7. He is a 6'6 guard.
you should do a video over your best starting 5 from every era, but only use the players one time per team. it would also be cool if you would give your take on which era you think would win for a ring
Confidence of Anthony Edwards goes to Larry Bird. Multiple times telling a player that he's shooting a game winner from a spot on the floor, that there isn't a damn thing they can do about it, and goes out and does it. Tells the locker room: "Alright who's coming in second place?" during the 3 point contest, and then wins it. Plays almost an entire game with his left hand, because he's Larry fucking Legend and is just toying with his opponents, then still hits the game winner. I love you but you dropped the ball on the confidence attribute. It's Larry Bird and Anthony Edwards isn't even on his radar.
Sounds like a 99 2k player. Bro would be a god among men. Literally defying physics of the human body. Not even talking about basketball. He would be the GOAT of sports he doesn't even play.
Rodman's defense is worth adding, but I think his rebounding mind is even more valuable. I would also add Isiah Thomas' cunning, swap Kevin Garnett to anticipation, swap Tim Duncan to leadership by example, and swap Bill Russell to intensity. If he ain't throwing up before games, he not my goat.
Way too ridiculously specific, lmao, but I love it. I think it shines a light on the beautiful aspects of the game, and the abilities of some of the best players, and that’s the most important aspect to this all
I thought you were going to say the confidence of Larry Legend, because it takes supreme confidence to tell a person *how* you are going to score on them, and then execute it. Also, I thought you were going to have a "will to win" attribute that would have gone to MJ, but "clutch gene" is not a bad option either.
He would have Jeff Teague's storytelling and Ray Allen's tweeting ability... For underrated picks though, maybe Kawhi Leonard's explosiveness. Dude can turn it on whenever, despite all his injuries.
Great video! I would give creativity or Ball handling to Pete Maravich who was the inspiration to so many players like Magic. Maravich was Showtime before 80s Showtime!

I would had Post game K.Mchale
Give him the wit and Charisma of Charles Barkley, humbleness of Giannis, and perhaps the business savvy of Vinnie Johnson or Junior Bridgeman, both who are successful businessman outside of the NBA.
I don't think Charles' charisma is compatible with humility. Lol
Doing the opposite and making the worst NBA player of all time would be pretty fun.
All the regular superstar attributes plus
1) doesn’t piss off superstar teammates
2) doesn’t wear out coaches
3) doesn’t get in legal trouble
5:50 Also, Bill Russell won 11 rings while dribbling like a 5 year old.
In my opinion, my basketball player
Overall Athletic Ability: Bron (DROSE for agility and quickness)
Court Vision and Playmaking Gifts: CP3 (Magic for Court Vision.)
Motor: Wilt (Mf played 48.5 MPG WHILST PLAYING 80 GAMES)
Intangibles: Mamba
Overall Offensive Versatility: Durantula
3-ball, off-ball movement and Spot-up shooting: The Splash Brothers (Curry and Klay)
Overall Defensive Versatility: Rodman
On-ball Defence: The Glove
Rim Protection: Mount Mutumbo (R.I.P)
Clutch Gene: The Logo
Scoring Ability: Air Jordan
Leadership skills: Bill Russell
Physical Strength: Ben Wallace
basically it, literally just thanasis
Nothing from Durant?? Unless we talking about Loyalty🙄
😅
Will of Bill‼️
Yo Jonny I love your content. What about doing a video on John Wall. Did he meet his potential ?
Dawg built a super soldier
"There has never been a hardworking athlete than Kobe" is the most American statement ever
Every once in a while, I wanted to pause the video and comment you overlooked this characteristic of that player, but you would mention this same characteristic of that same player after a couple of seconds. Great compilation of skills. I hope that player will never appear on the hardwood. 😁
Interesting way of saying Thanasis
I wasn’t expecting you to have this many attributes. Did you miss Magic Johnson??
I got him. He’s the court vision
@@jonnyarnett ok good, I thought I was crazy lol great video as always
Jonny, while I was watching this video, I immediately thought of a player through the history that had the most of these overall qualities. He wasn't 7'7. He is a 6'6 guard.
you should do a video over your best starting 5 from every era, but only use the players one time per team. it would also be cool if you would give your take on which era you think would win for a ring
You missed the most important one, rizzing the baddies on the court by Poole😂
That hypothetical player would probably average 60 points 30 rebobines 6 blocks 5 steals 10 assists
+3 pt % of Steve Kerr, toture chamber moves of Kevin Mchale, Charles Barkley's booty ball.
Just use MJ instinct killer and that is the end game.
The most effective height of an NBA is about 6 7 - 6 9
Way too ridiculously specific, lmao, but I love it. I think it shines a light on the beautiful aspects of the game, and the abilities of some of the best players, and that’s the most important aspect to this all
Can't go wrong wit off ball movement of Reggie Miller, Steph Curry, or Allen Iverson
Looks like my self created video character, Killa Killa😂
Charles Barkley efficiency.
Idea for a video series: what if this nba player had his career high in every stat during the same game
Just make MJ a 7 footer and done.
Mj with birds 3 ball. Just saved you 8 minutes on the perfect nba player
😂😂😂 this is straight evil 😈
It's insane by just how much MJ's hands gave him an advantage - they allowed him to develop a catlike body control that has never been replicated.
Bro just made god in Basketball form
That player drafted in 2024
12x champion
Avg 35 ppg 12.5 rpg 12.8 apg 61fg% 3p%48 ft%97
Goat
Steve Nash's toughness is good too
MJ in Ben Wallace body would be perfect
Or Steph Curry in Shaq body
Jerry West's hairstyle.
Kyle lorwy’s ability to take charges
