Thanks so much for making this video! Glad to hear that the PS4 controllers are essentially plug-and-play for gaming on the android head units. I appreciate you taking the time to make this even though it may not necessarily be up your avenue of typical content!
I have not tried this to confirm, but I know it works on phones, if you switch your device to "airplane mode" and you're using a free emulating app/software with ads then this will get around them constantly bothering you.
8bitdo have a Bluetooth dongle that should work with any wireless controller. See if you can find one and do a video. Also with emulators and emulation there are frontends that will make your emulation for multiple systems under one app rather than an emulator per system. Batocera, launch box and retroarch are all available, all free and emulators are configurable per system via the front end app.
Nice tutorial, great for kids in traffic jams etc etc. Any chance you can do a video in the future about setting up tv headrests with android head units? And whether the headunit can run these sort of games for individual headrest units for the kids in back? Great videos dude
Running games on individual head units simply can't be done. The best way to do that would be to mount tablets and connect up individual controllers to them, like I have done in this video, and some headphones. You CAN connect external screens to these head units, but they will only mirror what is on the screen, and they will be a low res - 480p
I have been looking into android head rest systems for video streaming and gaming. Seems a bit of a minefield. Have you checked out the Xtron head rest systems or A Ainavi systems?
Ive tried an xbox controller and an 8bit Do controller on my Teyes CC3 2k and they both vibrate when I plug them in but do not work... It wont find the Xbox controller on bluetooth either. This head unit is starting to annoy me and I've only had it installed for a day...
This is nice! I wanna play w/ a few controllers w some friends any ideas? A usb hub w/ 4 long wires is gonna get messy. I was thinking maybe 4 usb dongled wireless controllers on the usb hub mitht work what do you think?
Thx a million. I been trying to use an Xbox controller for years. Never got any controller to connect. Finally tried the PS4 controller and it works. But the audio cuts out on my SNES emulator. How do I fix it. On my px6 android head unit
It's the Idoing 13.3inch that I reviewed some time ago. It's also the most powerful head unit I've ever seen and has 8gb RAM and a 1080p QLED screen. I absolutely love it
Is there any chance you can try get this working on one of your joying units? I've tried everything to get my xbox controller working it'll pair but not actually connect and the USB doesn't do anything either it just charges it. I'll have to try my brothers PS5 controller aswell see if that works
@@tomcole020try the Gamesir T4 Pro works on my 10.1” Joying android 10, any aftermarket controller that uses 2.4Ghz should work as it technically registers as a mouse/keyboard

Seems to be a driver issue. Not this Playstation controller though
Hey so I have an atoto radio the s8 pro and when I try doing this Netflix app it just says it cant connect to the network then it crashes the app any fix ?
Only just seen your reply. It sounds like you're saying this is as an alternative to Xbox Live Gamepass, however when you say select your PS4 how do you do that if you are not at home? And how does it turn on the console if you're not there? I've only used remote play to it whilst I'm at home in another room controlling the same PS4.
Is it possible to have this set up in a 2004 Saab 93 aero convertible, I’ve been doing loads of research, and looks tricky with this fibre optic stuff.
Possible...yes. Absolute ball ache though, you'll need to modify the dash, rewire all speakers and install an aftermarket amp. I did a video on how to do it on my channel when I installed the Joying 8.8inch head unit in a 2005 9-3. There is a very easy option for that car though, which is actually my next video
@@SaabUnleashed I’m keen to hear any easy options of how I can do anything to the dash to upgrade it on mine, would it be the same in your 2005 is that also fibre optic, and I’ve seen most of your videos lol is that the one where you wrap up the original head unit and hide it in the dash so it’s still plugged in, yeah looks like a ball ache and I’m not that experienced with all this
T4 Gamesir pro worked for me on a joying when neither Xbox or ps4 worked, wireless works on most stuff with the 2.4Ghz receiver, wired works when wireless doesn’t
My headunit won’t open remote play for some reason, it crashes as soon as I try to open the app. On the play store it says my device is compatible but it crashes instantly when I try to open the remote play app.
@@SaabUnleashed I ended up downloading the paid PSPLAY app instead of remote play. Had to change some of my home router settings and set up some port forwards. But now everything is working as it should.
@@SaabUnleashed I suppose... Still... My approach on car audio is just that, "audio". Navigation a plus. Everything else is done on my phone if I need to kill time. Head units need to focus on their interface, speed and physical controls .. just my 0.02cts.

Hi. Can you use a controller?
Can multiple times plays at the same time? Like for Tmnt, Simpsons , NFL Blitz?
I’m getting an 8gb ram 256 storage and round unit for my Audi, can’t wait Lol
Sounds awesome
I need to get a playstation again
Do you have any trouble using PS remote play today? I just tried to download it on my Dasaita, and I'm getting error 88001003 code
If like that. Your head unit is rooted. Meanwhile, PS Remote Play asks for Android without root.
try installing "psplay: remote play" by stream game dev. My head unit is also rooted. and I use this apk. it went well.
but I am having problems with the controller. I use a PS4 controller. after connecting wirelessly. there are some buttons that don't work.
No problems
