Dude! That's awesome! That's very feminist of him... and as a fellow male feminist, I love to see it. It's just so cool to see Karl be that kind of dude. Because, to be honest... he gave off a different type of vibe. He seemed like the kind of guy that, behind the scenes, treated women like scraps of meat. But he's actually a good guy? It just seems like there's not enough guys like that in the world today, or at least... not in Western Culture. Non-Western Culture is way behind... and how far behind? Well, that all depends solely on WHERE in non-Western Culture. I, too, hate the double standards. Good on Karl.

I only just recently discovered Today and absolutely adore It. It’s light years better than the US morning news shows which have all gone to crap. And it all started innocently when Natalia showed off her muff. And Karl is tremendously hysterical.

Karl's not upset, but with the snake one he probably is walking off a heart attack. Many years ago, at Australia's version of the Emmys, Steve Irwin lost control of a huge python & it bit Karl while he was sitting in the audience. Like he always does, Karl brushed it off, at least on air, but I think he got a pretty serious bite. All wildlife regulations in Australia were changed after that event & it became illegal to handle Australian wildlife in public or for cameras. We weren't even allowed to take our registered educational animals out to displays with wildlife rescue groups as a result of the changes, so had to have been pretty serious to trigger that. He was probably legit freaked out over the snake stunt. He's a good sport though, so he would have dealt with it & not got upset at anyone over it

Since the today show is filmed in Sydney, what you would be doing with them is sinkin’ a few tinnies of VB (Victorian bitters), if it were filmed in Brisbane you would be sinking xxxxGOLD (said like four ex gold) tinnies. Maybe make a video asking them to do that and see if you can get it to go viral, it might actually work, we are always pleased when people outside of aus get our slang or even just our general vernacular, so it would probably go down well in a segment, especially if you reference the right beer for the state (even though NSW is in between Victoria and here in Queensland they have claimed VB for their states beer for some reason, even in the state of origin, VB is the official sponsor for the blues and XXXX are the offical sponsee of our mighty -and far superior- maroons) you could even say you will make sure to provide XXXXGOLD for sour pus since he is unfortunately from Queensland, again, it will be impressive and people will really appreciate that you have spent the time to learn so much about the little ‘in’ parts of our culture.
Americans say our nickname weirdly they overall say "aus" weirdly but it is correct in a different sense i'm just commenting on this because i always thought it was weird being an australian myself.

Sorry guys you really don't understand Aussie humor. He is only acting offended, except for the snake scenario. He genuinely reacted to that because he walked off the set and was not playing around or playing up for the camera. It really hit home. You have no idea how much more he would get bagged if any one thought he was genuinely offended. As it is, those snake pranks will very likely be revisited.
