Very nice, this is the first review of this keyboard by someone that plays FPS games I think, most people just talk about how it feels overall. I wonder about it's overall latency tbh, but good to know Akko is aware of the issues and trying to fix it. Drunkdeer was kinda rough during launch, but they've been ironing those things out and the A75 feels great now. There are so many new HE keyboards being released in China now, once you try RT you can't go back to a normal keyboard anymore. I hope they improve it asap. As always, good stuff. You're the most underrated reviewer imho
Akko just today sent me an progress update and it seems that they will do a huge update soon which should lower the scanrate of some keys amongst other things, so they’ve been cooking! Thanks for your comments!
Wish this video came out sooner I just bought the drunkdeer a75 $120ish but I would of definitely would of bought a more stylish keyboard like this one if I knew it was out there I'm going to see if I can return it and get the akko instead because the 3 pin hot swap adds a entire new level of customizability that the drunk deer just doesn't have.
Wooting announced their 80% keyboard today but I'm not a fan of that layout so I just ordered this one. I really hope Akko adds a tachyon mode equivalent to this keyboard it would make it that much better
@@andreibelittchenko5956 you said it’s the same layout and then go on to explain how it’s different lmao But no the arrow keys are in an awkward unaligned horizontal position. The side keys and LED also just look ugly to me. And for these reasons I’m not willing to spend $175+ (assuming it’ll be higher cost than the 60HE)

Yes it’s higher latency than Wooting but not by enough to be noticeable in game (wired/2.4) They make up for it in the custom keyboard side of things though. A RUclips channel by the name of THOCCnology did a latency test
I was just about buying a Wooting 60 but with thee 75% formfactor, I rather get this since I dont play competitive games anyway, super fast latency doesnt matter to me :D
As a fellow apex movement enthusiast, your insight on keyboards specific to apex is very valuable to me! Would you say that this is competitive to the wooting?
I’ve got this Corsair k70 mini that I love for using the 2.4hz on my pc and using over Bluetooth on my Steam Deck and iPad. I know the Wooting can’t do that, so I’ve been holding back getting a Wooting for that reason. Well, that and I already miss dedicated arrow keys. Also, I was just watching something yesterday where someone said the wooting firmware was changed to a minimum actuation of 0.15 instead of 0.1. Not sure if that’s true or not, but it’s worth noting there may be a smaller gap between these products in that way. So, yeah, very interested in this keyboard!
man this keyboard is amazing but I just wish it had north facing LED's. I am a big RGB fan and use pudding keycaps so seeing south facing LED's bums me out.
Does anybody know of a review of this keyboard that measures its input latency and ghost inputs? It seems like said problems have plagued the wooting copies, they usually have one of these problems or both. From the part where he was talking about going back and forth with Akko, it sounds like this keyboard does have some latency problems.
I haven’t seen any latency measurements with it yet, but I’d assume the latency is pretty much the same as other wooting copies. Nothing that matters for the casual gamer but something that is a big deal for those who are looking to optimize everything.
@@jerrorr im not sure exactly but I hear that if you theoretically actuate 8 different keys at once on a keyboard, one with good performance will send all 8 key presses at once in accordance to the next poll, whereas one that does not will send 1 key per poll which is kinda annoying :( I wish this info was shared, but if I were to gyess, this probably doesnt suffer from that issue
I'm really skeptical of anyone else being able to make the software as seemless as wooting's, in my experience software for controlling peripherals always seem to be janky and wooting's is the exception
You might have checked a wrong board. Their naming is kinda confusing so check that you searched AKKO Mod 007b HE, which is only available in black or cream white. The standard non magnetic version seems to be available in white. I have a link to the correct board in description.
you can just create a autoexec to bind your jump button (mouse wheel in my case) to cap your fps to 30 and then another autoexe to uncap them, after this, you can be braindead and still hit a superglide 100% off the time
@@jerrorr .. About every time I use game mode on or whatever it's called off the top of my head within 4-5 days (30-40 hours) I get stuck keys. I've modified two additional keys, in particular the TAB because my fat fingers would occasionally tap it. The recalibration is weird to say the least. It goes through all these warning things and then you essentially press one key and that's about it. The problem that I have with a recalibration is sometimes you won't realize that you'll have a few keys that simply aren't registering at all. So you'll have to repeat the recalibration process. What I thought needed to be done is to recalibrate one key at a time with an on screen display showing which keys are calibrated. Well that's just wishful thinking. Another major problem is when I'm holding down the W key often enough I will just slightly touch the S key which essentially stops you dead in your tracks .. It's like "Hey guys I'm over here" shoot me in the face because I'm an idiot and can't move! At this point it's just sitting there collecting dust. The problem with wooting is I can't stand a 60 keyboard, I prefer a 75 because I need my function keys! @@jerrorr.. when I mentioned about the TAB it's from the dynamic key setting. I essentially have it set up that you have to fully depress the key for it to actuate to avoid accidental tapping, which in my case brings up the score menu blocking the entire screen.
@@DJaquithFL yeah maybe those keys that are not registering just need to be swapped. Could be some bad batches. With the newest firmware superglides are possible! Now this board offers even more value than before.

What did they do to fix the problem? Is it similar to the woofing now?

No but this was provided to me for review. Akko has also an EU site.
What's the point of the weight on the bottom? Why would you want a keyboard to be heavy? Especially a wireless one.
It’s usually to make the board quieter and also to make it ”feel” more premium
does this have that rgb effect where you click a key and the rgb for that specific key only turns on? idk what its called, but if it does, its a cop 💯
