I bought 3 bags as soon as the video came out and have been using them in a board regularly for the last 6 months or so. I really like the key feel, which indeed is medium (not as harsh as a panda variant in my opinion), and like a brown in the middle (instead of that light-switch feel). It's nice. But also I immediately thought they were REALLY scratchy. Like, even for Cherry. I have used reds previously which felt way smoother. You can hear them scrape. BUT, just as Glarses said in the video, they get better with use. After maybe 4 weeks my alphas feel very nice now. Compared to the less used / new ones it's night and day. Still not scratch free, but nice. If you are into retro switches & keyboards, chances are you will love these. For me, these are also less fatigueing than. I was SO relieved that every switch was accounted for in the end. I feared that there would be a miscount somewhere along the way. The best way to get all of these switches packed quickly would be with automation. You would need a conveyer system with an optical sensor that counts how many switches go by, and then separates them into groups, sending them down a chute (or multiple chutes for greater throughput) into each bag. The bags could be sealed and replaced manually by human workers, or automatically. For QA, the bags could go along a final conveyer with a scale to ensure that there were no miscounts. Oh, wait

Thanks for answering, you didnt talk down to me at all dont worry!
@@Infimet Based on my quick google, the RK68 would accept 5 pin cherry mx switches. It also has 68 keys, so you'd need two packs to fully replace all the switches. However, it does unfortunately have north facing LEDs, so you will probably run into interference when using switches with the standard 4mm travel distance and cherry profile keycaps. I'd suggest googling north facing led interference to learn more on this issue. I'd guess that keyboard comes with OEM profile keycaps, so you may not have any issues. Again, if you're new to the hobby, it's probably worth doing a little reading / video research on different keycap profiles. Best of luck!

This is the first time I've ever bought anything from a RUclipsr! Bought 3. Great job mate! I wish you many more years of great content and many more subs!
Years ago when I first learned about cherry mx browns from Linus Tech Tips, I got a gateron brown full size rgb keyboard that got me started to improve the sound and feel of keyboards. This trade off between the mx brown / holy panda tactile feel and having a mx brown type stroke with more tactility is exactly what I have been looking for since then. Thank you for finally making it happen.
Y’know what? I think I’m gonna start caring about what keyboards I use now. Edit: Biggest mistake of my life. My paranoia is maximum. My comfort is minimal. LOOK AT WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME, GLARSES!!

@@ImOnMy116 oh okay! That makes sense, i just assumed that was enough haha! I've bought a hot swappable royal kludge rk68 keyboard with their brown switches, but i dont think it will be compatible with this, but thats fine - as this is limited edition, i'll buy these now as i can always get a cherry compatible keyboard in the future.
Ive been unsure of what switch to buy for months. Hours researching the competition and you've got me sold on these in like 43 seconds.
Are you telling me that I cannot even buy the best tactile switch to try it?
I been here pretty much since the beginning, and I think I speak for all of us when I say thank you. You’ve brought us all so much laughter in really crappy times and you deserve every last subscriber you get. We love you man, congrats 🎉🖤
Well deserved ❤
This is the best joke/product release i have seen. So much work for the bit
he missed the opportunity to name it the Cherry MX Glarswitch
I bought the MX purples out of sheer impulse, and now I don't know if my south keyboard LED's would be able to shine through them 😅.
Anywho, congrats for this marvelous achievement Glarses!!
MX purple breaks keycaps
yup and nobody seems to know
I never experienced any problems.. maybe you are using knockoff keycaps.
@@pascaloschmann8121 nope. mx clears and purples break even gmk keycaps
I've been watching your videos for over 2 years now and to see the growth is amazinggg, congrats on the glarsses company!!
frogbyte moment

@@arandomfroglol yes
Glarses was the kind of channel I never thought I would watch but ended up becoming one of my favorites because the quality and effort put in his videos are just that high
115 year olds not happy with this one
This is the first time I've ever bought anything from a RUclipsr! Bought 3. Great job mate! I wish you many more years of great content and many more subs!
i am playing minecraft and i found diamonds at 12:36
Years ago when I first learned about cherry mx browns from Linus Tech Tips, I got a gateron brown full size rgb keyboard that got me started to improve the sound and feel of keyboards.
Been watching the channel for a while, this is a lovely way to support the glarses company 🥹
Ordered 3
Can you be louder i can hear you when im in the shower
YOU are - without a doubt - my favourite person on youtube. You ALWAYS make me laugh! Thanks for the reminder, that we all should follow our passions!
Not a fan of tactile switches but that's me. Kind of new to the channel, and I gotta say. Wow - thoroughly impressed. I am in the US or else I would drive to where you are and help you pack them. Unless you want to fly me out. Lol. There are faster ways of doing this and multiple improvements I see that can be made. I know a lot of RUclipsrs don't necessarily take a comment seriously. But I could seriously help you speed this up if you still are working on it. Feel free to contact me if you'd like.
Again, incredibly happy for you and what you have accomplished 🫡
this has to be the most excited i've ever been for a switch, and i'm hardcore linear gang. following the story of The Glarses Company is one of the best things i've witnessed in this hobby. can't wait to try them when they get to my house, congrats on an amazing journey, Glarses! here's to more insane content! ^^
I’m very happy these are sold out. Well done.
MX Clear are my favourite cherry switches, so I'm so happy to hear you say they are based on the clear.
I remember watching your very first video when you had just started. What a fucking journey you went on. Congrats my man.
this has got to be the dream of every content creator. working with the lead manufacturer in your niche and coming up with your dream product.
Just got my first hot swappable keyboard, randomly came across this video and damn! I was immediately sold! And to my dismay to see that they are all sold out 😢 I really wanted these to be my first ever switches...plus i love purple!!! **cries in keyboard switches**hits subscribe with my tears**
Congratulations Mr Glarses
Great to see the Glarses company getting the recognition it deserves
Thanks to the brief history of Cherry you provided in your video, I remembered that the plant in the Czech Republic was in my city, now owned by the ZF which acquired Cherry back then.
the fact that the mx black switch casing matches his skin
Congrats Glarses, im really happy for you that u finally got your own switches! Cant wait for whats going to come in the future!
Wow.... I want to rebuild all my boards with these.... All in my favorite colour
congratulations on your own switch!! definitely copping some bags as i love the sound and i never want to lube ever again
Congrats on the huge project glarses man !
Your videos are some of the best and most entertaining on the platform, and I have so much respect for all the daring sutff you tried (especially the losing 100k subs part).
Can't wait to see what you come up with next !
The first video of yours I have seen, and it was epic
This wasn't where I expected to see a reminder of why the assembly line revolutionized manufacturing but it's always great to see 😂Congrats on the switches and a million!
love you man your content and heart are big we'll always support as long as you keep putting content out and if one day you decide to stop ill keep supporting you
This is an insane achievement for some RUclipsr who likes keyboards. This is amazing, and I love it. Keep it up British keyboard man 👌🏻
03:00 Hey I know this dude. It's Fritz. He used to work for PC-Welt before he hired at Cherry.
