Most People don’t realize that when Ferris was on the phone with Rooney, he spoke normally. He only does the sick act to everyone else but to Rooney he doesn’t because he knows Rooney can’t bust him. Small details like that make me enjoy this movie even more.

It was a thing for many years in Hollywood for young looking adults to play teenagers in movies and on TV. The entire cast of the original 90210 was in their 20s and 30s when the series started. Not only Alan but Matt Broderick was in his 20s. Alf was like a 40 something year old human man.
The editing in this (all the quick cuts between Ferris & Cameron, the shot of the phone hitting the floor, etc.) is just fantastic! It's a huge part of why the scene is so funny. Just perfect timing throughout. (I think it was actually the same guy who edited Star Wars, ep. IV & V.)
I always wondered, what ever possessed Cameron to tell Rooney to be out there, too?? Did he not think that would get them caught? On the other hand Ferris was right. He was way too adamant on her being by herself.
You. HIT me. Look don't ask me to participate in your stupid crap if you don't like the way I do it. You make me get out of bed. You make me come over here. You make me make a phony phone call to Edward ROONY?!? The man could squash my nuts, literally, and-and then you deliberately hurt my feelings!

Yeah, but Ferris does use the sick voice on the front door intercom play that he recorded for Rooney to hear in case he came by. Which he did.
wait, why can't he bust him?
Makes sense
@@alvexok5523 it wasn't for rooney
He also doesn’t wait for an answer but just thanks him and hangs up. A huge flex.
“What the hHHell is the matter with you anyway?!” *does a little dance*
Pardon my French
I love how Cameron leans forward as he strains his voice in 1:09
This whole movie is just legendary.
I love his little dance on 1:16 😄
All generations of kids need to recognize the magic of John Hughes.
Yes.
Not just kids..... adults as well enjoy.
*"When Cameron was in Egypt land...let my Cameron gooooo..."*
One of the most quotable scenes of all time. Cameron's voice and diction is perfection.

It's so surprising that Alan Ruck was 29 when he played the role of Cameron

So true. He looked more like 18.
@@mrmike743 the voice of Alf never sounded young. By the way, thanks for letting us know he was a human. I had my suspicions.
@@Brandon-rq3ys he sounded like a teenager from maybe the east coast or something I thought. He didn't sound like an old guy

Noodle Skadoodle I asked you first!
How can we pick up Sloane if Rooney is there with her?
Use A Telephone
Not a single second of this movie isn’t perfect or unnecessary.
No one can outsmart Ferris Bueller. Not even Mr. Rooney.
I want to see a fight between Jerry the mouse and Ferris beuller
Pucker up, butter cup, you are SORELY mistaken. He has been absent NINE TIMES!! I've got it right here in front of me.

The bell in the music and the flashing hold button in the scene in unison is priceless.

I laughed so hard when I first saw this in a theatre, that I literally fell on the floor laughing. I couldn't breathe.
I lost it when he said “Rooney, calm down”
Watched this movie beginning to end. Never did before. Watched clips. So much richer when scenes are watched end to end than in clip style.
"ROONEY! ARGH!"
I love Cameron! He’s an awesome character but....Ferris will always be my favorite.
The look on his face! "Oh shit!"
scenes like this are why this movie will always makes me laugh
God damn! Watching Grace grab one piece of paper at a time gets me rolling every time!! 😆😆
this video should be 1hour and 40 minutes long cuz the whole movie is hilarious
Alan Ruck should have been nominated for an Oscar.
I gave him one. In my heart. Pardon my french, but you're an asshole.... what a line...
I love this video best movie ever I love Cameron and Ferris
2:01 mark he probably didn't that in one take. No way Hughes told him to do that. It was too perfect to be planned
Ferris wins. Rooney loses.
2:14 was improvised 😅 classic

Cameron Frye sounds like a sweary Barney Rubble.

I always wondered, what ever possessed Cameron to tell Rooney to be out there, too?? Did he not think that would get them caught? On the other hand Ferris was right. He was way too adamant on her being by herself.
But then again Rooney was already up tight. The last thing he would want is to upset Mr. Peterson
I think he was just really into the character and the way he was telling Rooney off
“Rooney, calm down!”
"Call me sir" I've been looking everywhere in my life for a place for this
Cameron was in the movie Speed in 1994 with Sandra Bullock, & Keenu Reeves
