Start by learning this solo. Use the playback speed to slow it as much as you need and play it exactly as you hear it. The backing chords are Em9, F#m7b5, B7b9 if you have a loop station, or you can play along with this backing track when you get it up to speed: ruclips.net/video/5jC-hRtbzDQ/видео.html
Simple and brilliant, better than those guitarist that use effects ,reverb, analog delay, ect, because they can't play a clean sound voicing , he outplays them with this approach, great guitarist when I see one, not fake sound effects, great clean E7 jazz progression !!
this is very smooth! my background is acoustic fingerstyle and i really want to learn jazz - especially being able to do solos and licks like those without memorizing tabs and just pure improvization. anyone have tips on where and what i should start learning first?
muphphinmin i still find hard to make the arpeggios don’t sound like an exercise. Mainly when it’s like a “normal” chord like an major7 or a minor7. Just use the arpeggios with that notes doesn’t sound pretty to me u know?
Giancarlo Curti I use arpeggios as a mode of transition rather than cycling through notes like a drill..like maybe run a minor 7 arpeggio for one octave but land on the 11th and ascend the rest in 3rds ...either that l feel like I’m Yngwie which to me is an ugly sound like you said
The main chord progression seems to be emin9, f#min7, f#min7b5, Cmaj7, bmin7, Amin7, f#min7, f#min7b5, repeat.
Sorry I don't really understand much about music theory. So why the vid title use the Em7 chord/key?
@@aristide4505 Because the first chord is an em9, which is just an extension of an em7.

what a great understanding of chord progression, it doesnt hurt playing on a custom either ;) nice job dude.
