- My name is Josh. Subtitles in 9 languages. Dimash's D8 is one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed. I was and still am in shock from it. And the song was beautiful. This man is so incredibly talented! But he is also a performer and a person with a heart of gold. I'm excited to continue this wonderful Dimash journey with you. Thank you all!

В сентябре 2017 года в г.Алматы состоялся фестиваль телеканала "Гакку Даусы", который приурочили к празднованию Дня города. Он состоялся на старой площади города. Собралось около 150 тысяч зрителей, в числе которых была и моя семья. Конечно, основная часть людей пришли из-за Димаша, выступление которого анонсировали незадолго до концерта. Его выступление было завершающим, это было незабываемое зрелище. Он спел 4 песни, зрители долго не отпускали Димаша. Мы устали, т.к стояли на ногах несколько часов, пока выступали другие артисты. Но это того стоило!

This "Gakku" festival took place in September 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is said that the city center was paralyzed on the day of the concert. More than 150,000 spectators gathered in the central square of the city. Many came then only because of Dimash. Dimash performed at the end of the concert and sang 5 songs. It was evident that Dimash was relaxed on stage because the competition in China was behind him. The festival is not a competition, and Dimash was HOME, among his countrymen and DEARS. In the song "Unforgettable Day" he took a chance and sang D8. And before the D8 he was waving his microphone, but we didn't hear the sound. I think it was some ultra-sound that only animals hear, and people don't hear. It is said that Dimash sang D8 - "the whistling of the dolphin" and it was the longest sound of this high note. In the history of modern singing performance, the longest sound of this note. I’ve always thought that Dimash looked tired before beginning this song, but then gained energy as he continued. Maybe it was just that the adrenalin of the Singer competition was finally gone and he was able to relax, as you said, because he was home at last. I do question, however, when you said that when he waved his microphone around before the D8, he was emitting an ultrasound note which human ears couldn’t hear. I believe that Dimash himself said in an interview somewhere that his voice had actually failed at that point (due to tiredness maybe?) and that was why he decided to go for the D8. Admittedly, I’ve not heard it for myself, but I’ve read it in several comments in different places. And certainly right after the D8, his voice sounded strong and sure again, with only a half-second maybe for the transition. Unforgettable performance, for sure!

You absolutely must react to "Hello" which he did in a guest performance 2018 Singer, as he has not done it again afterwards. You will never forget his version once you've heard it.
Boy was that high.... my range has sunk over the years due to lack of opportunity to use it. I really miss it and hope to be able to get back into singing at some point. If you like Queen at all I would highly recommend a man named Marc Martel, he just put out a version of Under Pressure - Featuring a band called UQC that was wonderful!
What more crazy about this performance is, he still manage to belt powerful note after! No cracking, no sign of tiredness..... His vocal cord is like muscles of marathon athletes -_-"

He usually make a whistle note on this song but lower than the D8. I believe he tried and the sound didn't come out, so he tried again and he hit the D8. Just remember, as surely you know, singers don't push themselves to their real limits... So who knows which is his real limit.

Bonjour Josh! j'aime particulièrement ton approche . Ta volonté de vouoir connaître l' contenu de chaque chanson afin de mieux l'écouter. Rares sont les réacteurs qui prennent ce chemin . Et puis ton visage en découvrant cette prouesse !!!! un grand moment ! Dimash a souvent utilisé ce sifflet lors de ses concerts, mais là, jamais il n'était allé si haut et si longtemps. En généra, on le voit arriver progressivement jusqu'à cette note, sauf dans le duo avec Li Hugang (Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance) Epoustouflan t!! j'attend la suite avec impatience.

I am writing about myself ... me childhood dreams about what I would like to do as an adult also came true, although at the time it was so unreal ... You are one of the few reactors who really understand not only that Dimash can sing amazingly well, but what he brings as a great human who understands that people will react to him in different ways and is willing to embrace all of his Dears, no matter the age, nationality, gender. He is a totally amazing human (with slightly alien tendencies when it comes to his voice :) ).
You should react to Dimash's Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance duet with Li YuGang (李玉刚, the original artist) next. 李玉刚 (Li YuGang is famous in China as a Beijing Opera singer who is a male that often portrays a female vocal role). Dimash demonstrates a fantastic range, with a few surprises, and showcases his ability to harmonize with another singer at a very high level. Every year in China, there is a Spring Festival show where very famous or talented artists perform, and an incredible amount of people tune in. This is a must as his fame truly began in China and he's beloved by so many Chinese. Good luck and I look forward to it!

You’re so right about Dimash knowing that music connects us all & can bring Love & healing to us & that is what we all need because no matter what country, culture, religion, political background ect that we may different about, we truly share more things in common than we have differences & people can call me naive if they want but I believe in world peace ( especially if it were up to the mass population of people & if we could have more people recognize & show respect to one another when it comes to the things that we may feel differently about, it’s really no different than agreeing to disagree with a friend whom you may not agree with and to focus more on the good and loving values we share! OK. Here is a thing as a Dimash Dear I want to point out! Just let's imagine Dimash is an Alien who came to this planet to make our world more amazing! Try no to go deep about how he does make these sounds or why he does it! otherwise, you're gonna lose your mind! :)) There is no logical fact about his D8 note which is kind of a dog-whistle! It's off the piano!!! After being 2 years listening to Dimash songs, I'm still blown away by his vocal! Holy Cow!!! That's not fair! This is the only fact! That's really not fair! :))
We Dears actually call him an ambassador of peace and love. He always emphasizes that there are no bad nations, there are bad deeds. One of his songs, War and Peace, emphasizes the theme that adults in war with each other forget that their own future generation, their children are suffering. Dimash's goal is to connect people with his music, regardless of language or nationality, music is an international language with no borders, music has no language.
I think Dimash is from another dimension.

The Gakku performance is spectacular as for D8, but I love the Singer version more as the orchestra and Back vocals and overall presentation is more touching and impress more. And it's little different from Gakku one. I wish you could react to that too

Thank you for you reaction! I waited for you in anticipation to hear the D8. You didn't disappointed. Shock, puzzlement, loss of words, and disbelief. 😂 This version is in Kazakh. The lyrics were written by Oral Baisengir, who is a Kazakh author, and happens to be the father of one of Dimash's friends. Dimash composed the song, and it was arranged by Yerlan Bekchurin. This is one of several songs Dimash's Dears have learned to sing phonetically to sing with him at his concerts. Dimash is very humble, and very attentive to his Dears. He rarely if ever shies away from them. At his concert in NY in Dec, 2019 before he sang this song he said, "Can you sing with me?," then jokingly said "Part B, Part A is mine." Thank you, Josh! Another great analysis! Can't wait until you check out "Sinful Passion". I think it's next among his best 2018 performances, chronologically speaking. It was a pivotal performance in Dimash's career, as it marks the beginning of his colaboration with Russian composer Igor Krutoy, with whom Dimash closely worked together over the past 2 years.
The best performance of Sinful Passion is from Sochi. It's where Dimash first presented the cover of the song, along with the composer, who can be seen playing the piano. However, the most viewed version has a very annoying glitch right on his climax. You can easily find the exact same video from Sochi without the glitch (and with higher quality) if you search for "Sinful Passion no glitch".

Great reaction, however you should react to the singer version as it's really superb. Dimash didn't sing any whistle notes in the singer series, however he has done them occasionally. As for this Gakkau performance in front of 150,000 people Dimash Secretly donated all the profits to a local Hospital and an Old Age People's Home. During the Coronavirus Pandemic he's also Secretly donated over 5 Tons of food to people in need. Personally I would not bother with the "Singer version of "Give Me Love." It's a beautiful song but the best versions are at his Bastau and the Kinetic Voice concerts. These versions are NOT to be missed! After his amazing success in the Singer series the Kazakhstan Government decided to sponsor his first solo concert in Bastau. So I suggest you react this concert, the opening song is "Qazaqstan" is up-tempo and vocally stunning and completely different from the songs you've heard from him so far. 😊🏴👍

To me the amazing thing is that he sits crosslegged on a piano bench to sing the song. It is done in his home studio due to the coronavirus. He is beyond amazing. Oh, also react to the song he sang called Across Endless Dimensions, to be used for the credits of a science fiction/fantasy movie whose release has been delayed due to the pandemic. Piergiuseppe Zaia, the writer and director of the movie, is also in awe of Dimash. He credits Dimash with keeping interest in the movie alive, since at least one million Dimash fans have seen the video and are looking forward to the movie. Zaia said that when he asked Dimash to sing the song, he had to produce a demo using a baritone, tenor and soprano so that Dimash would know what he wanted. Needless to say, he needed only Dimash's beautiful voice to make the soundtrack. This is Patricia, Jerry's wife.
