I think it must be hard to imagine how he could be better than he is here. It really was only 3 years ago. He really was an already pretty seasoned performer when you start looking at his older performances. What makes him a bit different today, in my opinion, is that his voice has matured further so that it's even richer.... That he's not on a talent show so he is more at ease and free in his performances.... That he experiments with songs and works mostly on deepening the impact and expressing fully what he's feeling yet hasn't lost any power or the range. In fact his range seems to have has increased a bit... That he's all about connecting with the audience.... That the songs he's doing are such a phenomenal level more suited to his voice... That his personality and humbleness has not wavered a millimeter and he is SOOOO grounded that it humbles me.
This may sound melodramatic but I don't care. I'm going to say it anyway. His concerts (most notably his NY concert but others too) when taken as a whole, are sort of ....wow I don't know how to say it... His concerts are more than amazing music and fantastic singing. His concerts are a true back and forth communication and sharing of the heart between Dimash and the audience. You can see him, you can hear him, but the magic is... you feel him in your chest, in your heart, soul to soul communication. And he feels that same thing too. You can tell. It really is beyond anything I've ever seen. And you will know what I'm talking about when you eventually see it.

#Soft0845 This was at one of her concerts in Las Vegas 2017 - I have been trying to find the name of the Dear in my saved posts but sadly can’t (I’ve a myriad of them). I do know that it was around the time that Dimash was in Los Angeles performing at the ‘Spirit of the Great Steppe’ and he spent time with Walter Afanaseiff (multi Grammy award winner - producer of ‘My heart will go on’ etc) who knows Celine Dion well. There is footage of Dimash at Walter’s home (it’s lovely). Walter said on his Instagram account at the time ‘This is an honour for me Kazakhstan! My most favourite artist/vocalist of my whole life ... is in my car right now! I’m stunned!’ Plymouth UK 🇬🇧
I would love to see that. She is a legend but she would have to pull her jaw off the floor during rehearsals when she got a true glimpse of what Dimash can do. :-)

@@Chabtung in an interview he couldn't even recall. 😄 Thanks for pointing out about the lyrics. It's a love song so it's universal. He never discloses anything abiut his personal life when he speaks so I find it strange that people think he would do it when he sings.

One of the things I really enjoy about Dimash's performances is how his songs are arranged. Dimash works very hard at this with his very close friend and musical arranger Erlan Bekchurin. They have been working together for a while now and their arrangements are spectacular! There's a big surprise for you at the end of this version of the song which is NOT to be missed. You can always do his "Bastau" concert version another time maybe. Some reactors come and go, some get boring, some don’t have a clue, some are excellent vocal reviewers and you can tell they know about voice and vocal techniques. It's hard to believe that the people cheering and standing are actually the judges for the competition (the 500 in the audience are professionals in the music industry and the judges). Dimash was offered a position with the Astana Opera but declined because he wanted to explore his voice. He calls his style neoclassic. I think that at this time he was exploring and experimenting with what he can do with his voice and how best to use it.
