haha anybody else notice how her head was like perfectly lined up with the bunny ears in the back XD haha
I thought she done it on purpose, found that great 🐇😊👌
How is that so funny?
Sally L can you just let people laugh at what they want and be nice about it?
Sally L Exactly
Dumbass
When I first got my bun she was already comfortable in my home and just was chilling and laying down
My bun hates me lol. She loves me when i give her food though.
Yeah, Apollo immediately was giving me licks and affection.
i am convinced that hazel (my rabbit) it the most social and laid back rabbit ever. the day that we brought her home she sat on my lap instead of leaping around her inclosure, and it was the cutest thing ever!
My rabbits name is hazel too :)
my rabbit is naughty and she knows it... she thumps every time i say "no"
Can you Record A Video of that I wanna see
Why do rabbits thump?
@@Zigzagzolar They thump when they are disapproving of something or when they are confronted and upset
Lucy or when they are scared
@@kazourple Yes, every time she sees a figure out the window she freaks out. I had to get my windows tinted because I felt it was too much for her.
Been a rabbit owner for some time, and am really glad I clicked on this video. I learned a lot, even though I though I knew everything. Thanks!
At first I thought "why would she do a video on how to pet a rabbit??" Then I watched and really liked it and thought you were very descriptive and really liked it!!! Thank you!
Alyssa Miller SAME I just thought that she would talk about how to just pet them more towards the side
yea same
At this local pet shop, the rabbit pen is left out in the open for everyone to pick up and pet the rabbits, so children and go-lucky teens like to come and pick up rabbits by their ears and necks and they like to lift their little houses and then they wonder why the rabbit squeels, scratches them, and runs away... I lose my mind XD
I would too!! It really isn't safe
+Liz those people r cruel!
Zethany these dumbass idiots shouldn't be in business
Zethany it's common sense not to pick a rabbit up like that. I get pissed when I see someone do that.
Where's the shop ?
When I was about 8 1/2 years old living in Brooklyn New York my family stumbled upon a 9 1/2 pound fully grown rabbit that was left in the Canarsie firehouse. I have no idea how old this rabbit was...He was supposedly aggressive and bit two firemen. They kept him in a cardboard box with a little bit of food and a towel.
I remember it well because it was near Halloween and I believe it was 1989 or 1990 and I was living in a house across the street from my brother’s best friend at the time who owned a lot of animals and at that time we had three cats.
When I laid eyes on this nearly all white except for couple spots of gray large and scared animal I instantly fell in love with it... and of course my parents and firemen were dumbfounded when I was able to carefully approach and pick up this large rabbit without him biting or yelling.. it was almost as like this rabbit knew I was a kid and that I wasn’t going to harm it. Me being a kid and a lover of animals I already knew to approach the animal in a way that it would not only seamy but smell me. Rabbit does not smell through it snows it can actually taste you.
This rabbit was a tad different and did not like his head touched at all... with missing part of his left ear and I had no idea how that happened but I’m guessing a fight with another animal. This rabbit preferred to be touched almost in the same spot as a cat between the rear legs in the tail.
He would always put his hand under mine when I was sleeping and group me and my brother. Almost to the point where it was annoying.. our three female cats were absolutely terrified of this thing... not only did he Hass and it sounded like he snapped his teeth really really quickly... but he would get into almost a boxing stance head but bite and kick our cats.
He had a specific corner in our front room where if you went there he would hiss at you... only when he was out of his little area and sitting calmly would anybody be even allowed to touch him unless it was me or Tony.
My brother who is nine or 10 years old at the time was extremely good about cleaning his little corner and also getting the rabbit to come out from behind the toilet in our apartment.
He died about three years later and although he wasn’t very social he loved our family and our cats. His favorite cat was our youngest name Smokey ( Black gray with green eyes, female large breed ) He did not like his feet touched at all so watch out you might get bit if you do that
Lol my rabbit loves when I touch his ears
XD my rabbit too
Interesting video! I really enjoyed it :) Storm loves being scratched on his "forehead" and his cheeks, But don't touch his chin ;P xD
+StormyRabbits Hehe yes! Same with Lulu!
+StormyRabbits My rabbit too, I think rabbits just don't like being touched under the chin.
My rabbits (lelo Stitch and Nani) are all very pampered and are all very different but that’s what I love about them😁💗🐰
if cats are predators and rabbits are prey oh and dogs are predators why have a cat and dog with a rabbit i understand dog but cat is cruel 😢😭😤😭😥😤
+Lelo and stitch The rabbits
my rabbits have the same name!
My rabbit had to be put down a few days ago. She had an abscess on her cheek and it ate through her jaw. So sad as she was such a caring, friendly character and was my best friend. Miss her so much, not going to be the same without her. RIP Hazel❤️
Good points! We tend to forget sometimes about rabbits as prey animals, I'm so glad you brought that up.
Im getting a rabbit today my first Rabbit! your videos really helped me with it A million thank yous! Now i know everything about Rabbits from top yo bottom And again THANK YOU i will always watch your videos! 😊😄😁
Has she ever done a video about how to let a rabbit get used to you? I recently moved back in with my parents and they have a rabbit. I’d love to interact with him but I don’t want to stress him out or make him aggressive
I have a holland lop (like mocha) she absolutely loves when we touch her ears. as soon as i cup my hands around her face and scoop her ears up, she lays down and shuts her eyes lol
I have two beautiful holland lop, and one has an ear that stands up all the time, I'm a new owner! :)
+Brianna haha my question was if that was normal
Brianna Aww Momo (my holland lop) had that too with one ear up and one down for a couple weeks i think when she was a baby
i just got a new rabbit and its a month year old i tryed to put my hand straight and she really enjoyed it so ty
I am house/pet sitting and the owners just got a rabbit. I know nothing about rabbits and this helped a lot. Thank you. I was very surprised they don’t need a little bed to cuddle into. 🤗
My bunnies love the spot behind the ears ;)
You are SO knowledgeable and helpful, I’m so grateful I found your page!!
YAY 🎉🎊101 Rabbits ,StormyRabbits and Sarahbunny they all uploaded a video made my day and it was a really helpful video 😀
Thank you so much, Haley! I got two rabbits just yesterday and your videos are suuuch a huge help :)
I would love for you to make a separate video on how to tame your rabbit and how to first approach them after bringing them into your home. Thank you so much! Love watching all your videos, they are very helpful.
You are an inspiration😫 my rabbit was so aggressive and now she is amazing thank you so so much!❤️
My rabbit Oogie is so weird. He loves for me to pet the inside of his right hind leg. He is usually very chill and lays on his left side so I have easy access to that right leg. When I message his inner thigh he licks his own dewlap and paws. When I lay in my recliner with him on my chest. I pet him with one finger to mimic the feeling of another bunny tongue and he will start meticulously licking my face. He starts at my jaw line and licks in a line back and forth until one whole side of my face has been thoroughly cleansed from jaw to eyebrows. It tickles. I love it.
Thank you! This actually helped me a lot! I'm so used to having dogs, I didn't think it would be really any different, but this totally makes sense!
I'm getting a rabbit in 2 days and yes please make a separate video😊 of when we first get them it would be very helpful❣
Wow! Great video! I loved it and it was very informative too! I've recently adopted a rabbit, and I know they are prey animals and have almost 360 vision and when ever I pet my rabbit I approach her by showing my presence and kind of tapping my fingers together which makes her come out and she loves being pet on the head. Her name is Lulu (same as your rabbit ☺)
What a lovely & smart video primer this was. Excellent job, young lady.
My rabbit doesn’t like his “nuts” touched lol
Food or?.....
I mean..
i-
I'm getting a rabbit thanks for the info
I was watching this in 2018 and I was like
wait where's sterling!?
JJ's Channel Ikrr!! I was so confused
JJ's Channel is lol same
I think she didnt have Sterling yet
I learn so much everytime I watch your videos. Thank you!
We have our first bun for about a year now and have been raising it without much Bunny knowledge. I guess we are doing okay because it loves being pet almost all over and is extremely social.
I'm not trying to be mean but my cat surprised me when I brought my bunny home she actually likes having another animal around and they get along so well
most helpful video I've watched
I’m glad I came across your Channel I’m getting a rabbit next week and these videos I’ve learnt a lot bout a rabbit
Rabbits are real comfort pets❤
An you make an updated video on how to tame a rabbit? You made one a while ago, but each rabbit is different and you have three now so I thought you might had some new advice from experience! Thanks!
My rabbits are so picky that they only let me either pet their back or bridge of their nose 😂💗🐰
My buns absolute favourite thing is a cheek rub/massage, preferably on both sides at once, with the occasional stroke over his nose or ears. He really loves being 'groomed' though, and whenever I massage his cheek/jaw he will curl his front feet, close his eyes and grind his teeth softly in contentment (not in pain, I know the difference. He hasn't been sick once in his nine years). It's the cutest thing ever, and although my other rabbits wouldn't mind me petting them like this, he completely melts into a puddle of affection, and will remain so for as long as I pet him, and whenever I pull away he starts licking (grooming) my fingers and then shoves his head under my hand demanding I continue petting him. He would do the same things to his two girls.
I havnt had a bunny in years since I was a little kid and my brother had one but I'm getting my first bunny that's going to be mine and this video is really helpful thanks
Thank you so much this video really helped me. Now I understand why my rabbits always try to attack me when I put my hand on the ground. Thank you soo much!
can u make a seperate video of how to tame your rabbit? Btw i love your videos they really help! i dont really have a rabbit but this is just incase i get one!!😊 Thanks!💜
I agree. Would love for you to make a video like this.
Aya Mansour
Agreed
My 4 month old baby girl LOVES being pet, sometimes she’ll even fall asleep on me when I’m petting her lol. But only on her head, ears and a bit on her back.
She doesn’t like her butt, feet, tummy or front paws touched at all. She’ll get up and run away.
My dad doesn’t really understand this and he commonly attempts to pet her all over or even pick her up! He wants to cuddle her like how he cuddles our dog. But dogs and bunnies aren’t the same!!
Thank you for doing these videos it helps a lot
I live in Richmond, BC. Tons of rabbits on parks I will go try to pet one when I have time.
Hey :)
I'm glad you're making these videos and I hope many people watch them!
So interesting what you said about rabbits trying to dominate each other when sliding their head underneath another rabbit. I wonder if you could refer me to where ever you got that information. I'd like to understand my rabbits' behavior as correctly as possible and until now I actually interpreted it more as a kind of "peace offering" and just a sign that they'd really like to be pet. I have a lovely little group of three rabbits like you. Two of them are males and I have a clear impression that one of them is the dominant one. However they both do that thing where they slide their head underneath the other and I've never seen it lead to any trouble between them. Mostly they just ignore the other rabbit or they both try to tug in their heads at the same time which looks super qute! Nunu, my female is the only one ever actually petting the others.
a little random petting method i do sometimes is putting my hand in a very very very loose fist, and sticking my pointer finger out slightly, and rubbing my rabbits cheek with the "outside" of my finger, if that makes any sense. i rub his cheek with the bit of my finger above my nail and under my knuckle. i think he enjoys it? he definitely tolerates it. i feel like it's kinda unique so i can't find any videos on that type of petting. any advice?
You were great here! Clear, pleasant, lovely 👏🐇🐾
great tips! and you're correct, they're all different cuz mine LOVE they're cheeks and head petted.. their absolute favorite is when I take a slightly damped warm cloth and wipe inside and behind their ears.. (both are Holland lops) but if I go near the back end, they take off lol
Video starts at 1:50
Thank me later
Ok ill thank you later
Luna Rocks thank me now

Great video! It helped a lot! But it's funny because my bunny Kiwi is the complete opposite of a rabbit X3 she's not territorial and she actually likes it when I pet her back. When I first brought her home, she wasn't scared at all and whenever I would go to bond with her,she would always lick my hand :3 Also, she actually gets along with other animals and people. I think Kiwi has a very unique and perfect personality (in my opinion) she's also my first rabbit=^.^= Anyways! Your videos are very helpful! Keep up the good work! Btw your bunnies are super cute!!
this is gonna be my 2nd week of ownin my first rabbit ever and i'm getting scared of how unproblematic he is!!!!! he likes being touched everywhere! he allows me to pet him on his back, belly, he allows me to touch his tail and legs, he allows me to touch his ears... and i can tell he either tolerates it or straight up likes is cuz sometimes he's purring lmao whenever i put my hand next to him, he sniffs it and pushes my finger very gently once and when i start petting him he flops down lol he hasn't bitten me once so far, and he would sometimes put his chin on the floor and let me pet him everywhere, and when i stop, he stretches back up to look for me and comes to me and flops down again hahahaa he's had a great appetite since day 1, allowed me and my dad to pet him (without shaking or trying to hide and etc), he's drinking water and playing with his toys.... overall acts super chill and fun!! i waited like 5 days till i asked my dad to pick him up to tell his gender and he was a boy, after my dad let him back in the cage he didn't act angry or anything lol he was fine..... few days ago i had to pick him up while cleaning his cage cuz he would play and lay down and not let me clean properly lol and he didn't mind at all! i even wiped his feet with a wet hankie (i use hypoalergenic ones with very good ingredients cuz i have lots of allergies so i use those on him as well, when needed). he was very ok with me cleaning his paws lol when i let him down he was chill and wanted me to pet him xD i'm convinced i don't have a rabbit, but a funny looking dog!! :D
Can you please do a "how to tame a rabbit" video? We are fostering rabbits who were recently rescued from an abusive home and are not comfortable with humans and I would love tips on how to make them comfortable around me.
My bunny has to be a full time outdoor bunny because my mom does not allow her in the house. The outside temperature currently is between 87 and 100 degrees. I keep a fan blowing in her cage, spray her ears with cold water, make sure her water bottle is cold, and put frozen bottles in her cage. She still gets overheated, is there anything else I could do?
Brianna Raney when you do put a fan near her cage don't blow the fan directly on the cage or she could die from a draft
That's the same as me!!!
Thank you for this video Haley! I finally understand why my bunny kinda launches at my hand when I tap on the floor for him to come to me... Ooops! Great tips! :D
Could you do a video on your hermit crab or crabs?
yeah!!!
Please! Ive got hermit crabs and they were just kind of dumped off on me and idk really what im doing.
You are such a sweetheart😊thank you for this wonderful and informative video 🐇 🐰 ❤️😊❤️❤️❤️
Do the rabbit allow u to trim their nails
Thank you friend.
My rabbit is like LuLu, she doesn't mind me petting her and she isn't picky where I pet her. The only places I know she doesn't like being touched are her back feet, under her chin and all the way under her belly. She'll let me lift her front paws for the most part and between her ears, she tends to have a lot of loose hair so I have to put a lot of my hand on her face to get ahold of the fur to put in the bush, so I can get more out. I can just pull the loose fur out but I can get a ton more out at a time by doing it my way. She doesn't mind me doing it that way but if she does then she'll move her head away. She's very passive and very forgiven for a scared bunny like she can be. I don't know how to really explain her personality but she can be very skittish but she also loves the attention. You can also do something that upsets her but she'll be right back near you within a couple minutes.
i have an above the ground hutch, how do i make it so it’s not so scary for me to take my rabbit out when it’s time to play?
This will help tons of new bunny owners!
My hare loves to let pet all over 😂 he even lets us massage his feet and front paws when he's in a good mood
My bun LOVES her cheeks pet. She will stomp when i stop and she goes full loaf mode when i pet her cheeks
You're Bun 😊
Great video! I have had rabbits for 10 years but I never knew about their body language :) mine lives with the guineapigs, works good.
I have a question, do your bunnies lick you? My bunny licks me all over to the point where it actually gets really annoying. She also attacks my boyfriend with licks but she doesn't seem to do it to anyone else.
I have a 2 month old rabbit and am rlly worried hell never let me pet him. Hes very hyper and runs about alot and when he comes over to me he usually nips me or just sniffs me. Everytime i try pet him he turns away his head. He doesnt show me any effection. Is this because hes still a kit?
i can tell that your good with rabbits .What colours can rabbits see
@Winter 4 years
your videos supply so match information - thay are so useful!! thank you hon, we really appreciate your job :)
If the rabbit doesn't like to be touched the feet, how can we clip the nails for them?
Serious question, I got my bunny back in April and she won't let me touch her still, no pets, no picking her up, share also doesn't like me coming close to her at all, however she does come up to me when I'm laying on the floor with her, I'm at a loss I feel like she hates me and is never going to let me touch her😭
My bunnies are completely bonded and usually love being together, as well as that they grew up together. My male usually puts his head under the females and now I know that’s to show dominance. But starting today my female started getting on top of him and I guess she’s trying to show dominance. Do you have any tips to stop her from doing this?
This was really helpful for me
Skip to 5:02 for the petting :3
Youre a hero
Finally
Hi I'm eight and I really love your videos because I'm getting a rabbit
Please reply
Lulu is just like one of my rabbits bugs he puts his head down on the floor when I pet him he's so gentle he lets me stroke his cheeks body ears and chin and nose he is so friendly
My bunny comes to me when he wants to be petted but let one of my friends come over and try to pick him up he bites them
Very interesting! Thank you for making this.
Would love to see the separate taming of the rabbit when you first bring them into your home.
rosie joe-can you do a video on how to get good and bad cages
I just brought a new baby bun home. They’ve been properly introduced. They don’t fight but my older rabbit James grunts at Lola (the baby) then mounts her. Sometimes he’ll just lay by her cage and grunt a little then go to sleep. Do you have any tips on this?
James is in love!
Thank you for all this!!, i have rabbit in my backyard that just appeared a year ago and im trying desperately to pet it but its not working, I put rabbit food and water in some plastic bowls but they rarely go for that either
cause i just got one and i let it explore everywhere and when i come to pet it he just stays still and lets me but he thumps and i know that can be a sign they're annoyed or scared but when i cuddle closer he stops?
How do you know that a rabbit is used to you and your enviorment
Even though I don’t have a rabbit I learn a lot from your videos~ ^-^ I hope some day I’ll get one of my own
Thank you for sharing this vid. I love rabbits! Thid vid. is very helpful to me bcause I had always done wrong before. Now I know how to aproach and pet the little critters. :D
What kind of a breed is your rabbit? I have the same kind but I don’t know what breed she is.
I got my rabbit 4 months ago and he's still not comfortable with me and he is still scared. Any tips?
If a rabbits head is laying on the ground flat and there bottom is higher then there forhead, does that mean the enjoy you petting them?
Yeah, my rabbit does that, when I pet him for a while he puts his head on his paws!!
So cute!
My rabbit loves chin and cheek rubs
Mine loves getting cuddles :3 he loves to snuggle all the way up to me and flop and get belly rubs ._. And he loves having his face petted, be noted, hes a free range and can run away if he wants too
He also likes to put his head onto my hand :)
Thats so cool how you now so mach about your rabbits! I watch almost all of you rabbit videos. I love your rabbits their so cute!
I now that you have a another rabbit.
Rachel Degen she has 4
My rabbit had been scared of me ever since I got her but recently she hasn't been as scared is this bad oh and I've had her for about 6 year since I got her when I was little help please
How would you know if a rabbit likes it or dislikes it? When I pet my rabbit he rubs his nose or mouth or licks and sniffs the floor in front of him.
Edit: youre pretty helpful so Im going to subscribe.
My stardust likes behind the ears and having his neck massaged
i am 9 and i got my rabbits fo an early birthday pressant and this made my rabbits feel happy
I love your videos
These tips are very useful! I don't have a wabbit myself, but a friend does. What I'm not certain of: do wabbits like to have their ears pet? Because they're very sensitive!
Love it
Thanks Hailey
This was really interesting! I loved it!
