Hi, I am happy to see a fresh video regarding this type of UPS, I myself bought a APC Easy-UPS 1000VA - BV1000I-GR last week and I have noticed a couple of things about it. Even straight out of the box the ups had a very strong plastic smell, and after plugging it in the smell got even worse, this is the second day of me using it and I can say that most of the horrible plastic smell went away, but a part of it is still present. Another thing would be the temperature where the went is located, on the first day I mean till the first full charge it got so hot that I could barely put my hand on it, did yours do that as well? It is the second day of me using it and the temps have gotten a bit better but still, it is running a bit too hot for my comfort. I mean the UPS stayed hot even after I shut down my PC completely. What are your experiences regarding these things? Ty for your answer.
Thanks for the comment. I actually returned this device once I noticed it doesn't have the data port and I got the APC Back-UPS 650va model for my NAS. I published a video for that one as well. It doesn't get hot. I talked to a friend who has many APC UPS models and some do get hot. He suspects the topology might be indicative of the device being prone for running hot. Many of the easy ups line up devices have topology line interactive. My back ups model has topology standby.
I own this exact model and I am satisfied with it however if battery is not user replaceable is a little bit downside. If there is a need to change the battery you should send it to a local service dealer I think.
I just got this model. Question: after plugged, should I turn on and connect my computer straightaway or wait until the unit charged then power on then plug my computer?
@@Homeneer I have one more question. When I'm done using my computer, should I turn off the UPS or just leave it on? I use my computer everyday for work.
@@Homeneer ups should be on all the time?? well suppose its on but im not using at that time, for example im gone .and if light goes out it should be turned off straightaway, and who will do that?? thats what i mean! there should be someone to press off button otherwise it will start quick battery drain
Even after the battery no longer holds a charge, the ups can still be used - I am planning on getting a new one and using the old one for my tv/sound system for surge protection
Well I all the time have my nas and network gear plugged in so i never power off the ups. Not entirely sure what your use case is. And haven't either researched best practices. However I don't see the harm of powering off the ups if you don't use it for a few days.
You need to buy one that supports more than 600 watts if you want that. You can't buy one that supports 500 watts just to name an example and run 600 watts it would shutdown because you overload it. Or if you really have bad luck it would not notice it and heat up soo much that it catches fire.
Hi, Is there a way to turn off any alarm permanently so the unit stay silent ? I see there are no usb ports to allow connection to a computer for configuration.

Just tap on the power button for a moment. Don't press for too long.
Hi. Can you please tell me if i keep it connected with external power (charging state) even if its battery is fully charged, will there be any adverse effect like overcharging, degradation etc?
The intended way to use it is to have it always plugged into external power. If you are not using the device and have nothing plugged in for a long period then I would disconnect the unit entirely.
Fusible is french for fuse? The model I showed on the video does have a circuit breaker as seen at 05:02. A circuit breaker serves the same purpose as a fuse.
At what point do you get sound? I actually returned this model and got the APS Back ups instead. Why do you want to mute. Usually something needs attention if there is s sound
I agree it's a bid downside. I guess you could replace the battery voiding the warranty but I do also wonder why they create products without user replaceable batteries.
How could I know that the battery is full charged?

Please tell me how loud is it?
Thanks for the review.

Yes that's true
Hi, i have the same UPS. I noticed, when it operating from battery it switch to 60Hz. Is this an error in my modell, or is it normal?
Do you hear a hissing sound while it works? Thanks.
Can i plug my device into this if my device has a 3 prong plug (uk plug) and i use an adapter to plug it into the 2 hole plug on the ups?
How long does it last of continuous use?
Does this have a pure sign wave output?
I just got this model. Question: after plugged, should I turn on and connect my computer straightaway or wait until the unit charged then power on then plug my computer?
I would plug the computer in immediately
@@Homeneer thanks!
@@Homeneer I have one more question. When I'm done using my computer, should I turn off the UPS or just leave it on? I use my computer everyday for work.
Just leave the ups on. Its designed to be on 24/7
@@Homeneer you're awesome! thank you!
i have no enough outlets, can i plug into power strip? also want to know should it be turned on (with green light on) continuously?
The UPS should be on all the time.
Using a power strip is not ideal. I guess you could but you shouldn't plug in too much load on the UPS

Hi, if ever the batteries get too old to hold a charge, can you still use this as an AVR/surge protector? Thanks!
Sorry I don't know. Hope someone else can post the answer.

Can the battery be replaced ? Or the whole device must be replaced
To my understanding the battery can't be replaced. That's one reason I bought this one instead ruclips.net/video/4E13SQ41Jgs/видео.html

Is bettery replacable by the end user, or end user will have send device to a service ..
They have not made it easy for the end user to change
Hey,all the outlets have the same proprieties?
Yes. All the outlets have battery backup and all the other features.
does this work for a ps5 on ful power?
Any idea how to disable the 4 beeps while it's on ? Cause it is too NOISY
When does it beep for you? In normal operation mine doesn't beep
It always beeps after the outage. It is incredibly obnoxious, and you can never use it without having everyone around you die from ear bleeding.
Hey there, One quick question! If i buy this device can I draw more than 600 watts from it on normal usage?
You need to buy one that supports more than 600 watts if you want that. You can't buy one that supports 500 watts just to name an example and run 600 watts it would shutdown because you overload it. Or if you really have bad luck it would not notice it and heat up soo much that it catches fire.
You can´t. It will start an alarm
Would you recommend using 650VA model (375 watts) to be connected with a mid range gaming PC, just for shutting it down at times of power outages?
I don't think that would be enough

6:07 you said to replace the device.. is the battery not replaceable?
Not user replaceable. I guess you could but it would void the warranty
Does this thing make sound when the power is out? Can it be set to mute?
I want to know as well. Did you find out how to mute it yet?
does it came with fusible?
What do you mean by fusible?
@@Homeneer it is supposed to come with a fusible for protection

@@Homeneer actually, fusible is fuse in spanish. Pretty close though.
Chief, how to mute this UPS!!

Mine is GR instead of VA, so it beeps each time it uses electricity after the outage.
Is this ok with playstation 5
Yes I think so.
you cant change battery so its garbage as a product from every standpoint, from ecology, economy, enviroment, you name it.
