    How does the Tempest 20 differentiate between the Tempest 28 Pro? The measurements are very similar but somehow the Tempest 28 Pro can fit 8L more.

      Great question! The Tempest 28 Pro has approximately 5 additional inches in height over the Tempest 20 and an additional inch in depth, and can carry an additional 5 lbs (for a total of 25 lbs). The 28 Pro also has a bucket-style top opening compared to the panel opening on the 20. Lastly, the Pro series is made with Nanofly 100x200D material that is known for it's high abrasion resistance and strength to weight ratio. Hope that helps!

    What are the differences between the older version and the updated version of the Tempest 20?

      Hi there! The changes were pretty minor- Osprey switched to a bluesign-approved recycled high-tenacity nylon w/ PFC-free DWR in some heavier weights for durability, and that did increase the weight by about 3.5 oz. The frame is also an injection-molded Airscape foam framesheet that has channels instead of the honeycomb pattern on the former style. Most other features remained consistent!

    Hi, I have questions regarding the front mesh pocket and the straps in the tempest 30.
    In the older versions the straps used to be next to the pocket, while in the new one they're placed inside the mesh pocket.
    I know I'd like to use this pack sometimes not fully loaded and compress it, but I don't know if it's going to be actually possible due to the strap placement. The past two days I've gone through all reviews, films, pictures I could find, and haven't even once seen this bag compressed, while I've found many pictures of the old version made real tiny... And I'm also not sure if it simply would still look good compressed.
    So my questions are:
    How much does it compress?
    How deep inside the pocket do the straps go?
    How does the pack look like compressed?
    Thanks for your answer in advance and have a great day. ;>

      Hi Jula, thanks for asking! We got to check out the Tempest 30, and determined that the compression steps extend about 1.5" below the top of the front mesh pocket. This means it can only compress down about 1.5", however with the frame being considered, it is unlikely a pack could compress any lower due to the frame structure. When compressed, the top comes down to meet the mesh pocket, but the pocket is still accessible and still appears about the same. Hope that helps!

      @@Enwild I have yet another question, but about the tempest 40. Do the lower strap buckle fit the upper one, or are they different? I need to make up my mind still and choose between the two, but it's impossible for me to see them in real life before purchasing. Thanks and have a wonderful day. ;>

      Hi Julia, thanks for following up! With sincerest apologies, the Tempest 40 is not a size that we currently carry or have access to for verification. We'd recommend checking with Osprey directly, who may have additional details on the bags they make. Happy trails!

    Can your phone fit in the tempest 20 hip pocket?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  2 года назад +1

      HI there and thanks for checking in today, The hip pockets are designed to accommodate most average-sized phones on the market, however phones considered Max, Ultra or XL may find users with some difficulty, thanks!
