MisAnnThorpe, this record has something like 30 musicians and singers, in the whole. From Brian Wilson to Youssou N´Dor or Arto Linsay. Amazing. But, yes, it has some tracks kind of funk stuff.
Ingrid Chavez showed up on some Sakamoto material around this time; she was part of Prince's circle as well and went on to marry David Sylvian (long time Sakamoto collaborator).

Sakamoto's jazzy Japanese funk with an Okinawan twist using folk song lyrics and the talented female minyo singers of Oganeku, Koja, Tamashiro wearing their beautiful katachiki & kasuri kimono.
It most likely isn't on the remaster because it's based on the original 1989 Japanese release, how Ryuichi originally made and released the album as and likely how he preferred it, I assume, this track was mostly done at the request of Virgin, the label, after they asked for a song that could work as a single and for radio, and was added on the international release and as a single in 1990.

I love this damn song so when Spotify this year finally put this album in their servers (it's 2022) I was super excited to press play. But to my dismay, this freaking song isn't on it. Wtf?
