justice ? When the state has to lie to Grand jury to have Alex murdaugh indicted.. then you know they have nothing. lead investigator Owens.. lied to grand jury to have a man indicted for murder by grand jury. This was a kangaroo court.. where judge allowed State anything they could think of.. kitchen sink.. financial crimes, asking Alex about his private conversation with his attorney.. just anything goes.. You cant get justice by way of injustice. Kangaroo court
I think that John Meadors did a phenomenal job! His closing argument was the final nail on the coffin. Had I been a juror he would'v definitely solidified this case for me. He needs to be interviewed as well!
Such a very sad situation, but definitely justice was served in this situation. Kudos to the entire prosecution team. I think this trial will go down in history as a teaching moment for legal teams
THANK YOU - Creighton Waters & Team, Judge Newman, and EVERY JUROR, for upholding the TRUTH !! (above, money, power, position, reputation, political influence !)
So many talking head defense attorneys were criticizing the prosecution and Creighton leading into the convictions but I always felt their case was convincing and compelling. There was no doubt about Murdaugh’s guilt
A minority of defence lawyer channels look at cases impartially. Natalielawyerchick is an example. As for the rest of them, if they're such great lawyers how come they're commenting on trials and not representing clients?
I am still surprised that in Alex's testimony, being questioned by Creighton that when asked if the dogs were barking as if sensing someone else out at the kennels while he, Maggie and Paul were out there and Alex said No, there was no one out there for the dogs to sense. I was surprised Creighton just sort of let that slide when to me Alex was basically saying that there was no stranger out there that night and the dogs were not sensing a thing.
Thank you for working so hard to prove your side of this case. This was an unbelievably difficult case to watch from home. I can’t imagine the difficulty in prosecuting a lawyer so well held in his community. I hope you all get to walk away, safely, feeling great about your work. This gave me hope for the legal community upholding the law instead of giving an unwarranted gimmie to public servants abusing their power. ~Sheeara, Alaska
This prosecution team ended corruption from the entire family. South Carolina prosecutors have rocked this families abuse. Kudos to the mean mugging court officer that sat behind AM. He nodded his approval of the judges statement as AM was sentenced.
Thank you to the entire prosecution team...job well done. Creighton Waters, you truly are a rock star. I would love to meet you some day just to shake your hand.
Mr. Creighton Waters did an outrageous good job; excellently prepared & presented to the Jury & Judge. Mr. J. Meadors did 'the homerun' & sealed the case so that the defendant, who thought he was above the law, who thought he would outsmart, outlie, outwit & outmanipulate the rest of the world (like he often did) eventually got what he deserves: Judge Newman & the Jury did see the facts & gave their verdict accordingly. Justice was served for the victims. God bless you!
Good job guys. I truly believe if Alex hadn't been addicted to pain medication, he never would have committed all the crimes he did and would have had a very good life. I pray that those with drug addictions see just how badly it can ruin their lives and those they love. I want to thank Court TV for their great coverage of this trial.
I disagree, respectfully. Alex Murdaugh is far more damaged than the average opioid addict. He used his pill usage as a catchall for his many heinous crimes, and I believe that we are going to find out much more about his devious actions and criminal behavior. Alex is likely a sociopath, and he is capable of horrible things.
Wilson and Waters are speaking in common sense terms. A lot of people want to ignore this and focus in on the weapons not being found, the clothes not being found. Those are not that important you factor in ALL OF THE COMMON SENSE evidence. Slam dunk and thank God for the common sense jury.
There was also not a single piece of evidence to prove anyone else did it. You are only left with AM, their guns being used, him there at the right time, and his life totally unraveling.
Why did Alan Wilson take the death penalty off the table for Murdaugh without any explanation? If anyone deserved it Alex did. As the judge told Murdaugh,"your family has been prosecuting people here in this courtroom and many have received the death penalty. Probably for lesser conduct."
It was because seeking the death penalty might make it harder to get a guilty verdict especially because most of the evidence was circumstantial. I heard the defense say that in their press conference after sentencing.
Bus-Bus is the 26 year old person who knew his brother had an alcohol problem, yet gave his own driver's license to him for the illegal purchase of alcohol. That action caused the death of Mallory, a young girl. Also, his name has come up repeatedly in regards to the murder of Stephen, the boy found on the road.
You should all take a vacation. You put a monster away for the rest of his life. Paul’s video helped put Alex in prison. It was like he got the last word.
@@AngieAitch i noticed that sound wasn't really noticed during the trial. But it's for sure in there. You really have to turn it up. Glad you heard it as well.
If it's 14 seconds in it's probably about the dog... I know the video was only 50 seconds or so, but he is probably asking about him checking out the dog's tail.
Creighton was masterful. His passion and commitment to justice were exceptional. Cross of Alex was just right - completely destroyed his credibility. One thing that wasn’t followed up was that Alex admitted he had a bag of pills in his pocket during the first police interview. Had he been confronted by Maggie and Paul? Did he explode in a paranoid rage? Just another lie that came out in Alex’s testimony. Kudos prosecution. Justice was done.
During sentencing, the judge does a great job of subtly conditioning Alex for a potential future confession which I believe Alex will do in coming years.
Alex forgot this statement. "With great power comes great responsibility". He had great power in that area of South Carolina. He had gotten away so many times. He thought he was powerful enough to take on the jury and win them over.

The sound is awful
I think that John Meadors did a phenomenal job! His closing argument was the final nail on the coffin. Had I been a juror he would'v definitely solidified this case for me. He needs to be interviewed as well!
He was brilliant!
He did it so well I felt like I was watching a movie!!
Especially the credit he gave to Paul in solving this case
Preacher Meadors
Absolutely, except for Paul’s testimony through his phone Meddars hit a grand slam. Prosecution team loaded the bases.
They took down Alex Murdaugh! In SC that's huge!
THESE GENTS PURE GOLD🌟🍀🇮🇪
John Meadors was AMAZING in his closing argument. I've watched the entire trial, and Mr. Meadors was the final word and was just phenomenal...I agree!
Great interview. It’s all very sad. Glad justice was done and congratulations to all involved who made that happen!
It was team effort but Creighton Waters knocked that cross out of the parc. Exposing a malignant narcissist is tough!!
Agreed. Murdaugh made it a little easier due to the fact he wouldn't shut up. He kept tightening the noose around his neck the more and more he spoke.
It sure is
@@misterwallace3479 Agree. His rambling answers did him no good at all. As an attorney he should have known testifying would be a bad idea.
I’m glad to see that Watters is getting credit for his prosecution! He had a lot of criticism on social media! 👏👏👏👏
Ikr why are people hating
A trained monkey could have gotten a conviction…waters did his best to help the defense.

nice looking to boot.
so much better than that annoying harpy Angenette Levy on Law & Crime.

Also, good job 🎉 to “the little detective” who solved his own murder & his mothers. RIP Paul.

Great trial and interview! Wonderful job to the prosecution team! Just outstanding! Thank you!
Huge thanks to the entire prosecution team! Your hard work and dedication has paid off, as justice has been served!
Fantastic Job. At last Justice was served.
This case will be studied for years to come in law and psychology education.
So true

Very true. Study how a man can kill his family with no remorse just lies.

Excellent interviewing, Chanley!
Great job Mr Waters. Excellently prosecuted.🇺🇸👍
Congratulations on a difficult case, and prosecute an experienced attorney who thought he could beat the system! 💪🤜👍
Creighton is a man of ethics! Unlike Alec (EL - Lick).

Creighton is right about AM being a family annihilator like the paranoia of King Herod.

great interview, ask very good questions relating to the trial. congrats to waters and his team, wasnt easy but got the job done with flying colors
Great job Mr Water and your A team hope your eating more now take care of yourself God Bell you and your team justice foe Maggie and Paul
How long will it take for the appeals to start? Even the judge was like..."I expect it!"
The defense said 10 days, & then the paperwork will take a few months.
His lawyers say it will be filed in 10 days but they have up to 11month 29 days in any states. Not sure about SC.
I pray this verdict does NOT get over turned by appeals
It won't...this case was done by the letter of the law. It helped having a Judge that was in control of his courtroom.
Very unlikely
Oh GOD that’s a very bad thought
THAT is one of my worries. harpo & GriffGriff are desperate enough to try evvery dirty move to get the murderer out of jail.

Had Alex taken that bag of pills out of Paul’s pocket? Hmmm?
The AG compares it to storming the beaches at Normandy and THEN naked and off cuff remark of killing each other. Goodness.
During sentencing, the judge does a great job of subtly conditioning Alex for a potential future confession which I believe Alex will do in coming years.
Even if he does eventually admit it, he's gonna be in prison where he belongs, for many years
Confession vs dissociation might be the first step in
finding a measure of peace. Holding that particular lie in must be very acrid.
