Nice job guys, I have dived all over the Oregon coast. You are diving in a good spot for a drift dive. Look for scalops on the inside of some of the rocks. Keep it up.
I love Garibaldi. My grandparents used to own a old beach house cabin there in Garibaldi that place holds a special place in my heart. You have Balls to swim in our gnarly coast. The ocean can be so intense in some areas but we do have such a fascinating ecosystem. I gotta try this someday. Most i do is hand catch crabs at night in Waldport with my flashlight, waist deep water at most. I've caught a lot like that. Anyways absolutely great content dude
I just saw your video. The next time, dive the rock towards the mouth of the bay. Easy to get at, there was parking on the road, but it has been ages since I dove there, and great fishing. I'm not sure what the rock is called anymore, I always heard different names, but you can not miss it since it's huge and has a cave easily accessed underwater. I used to throw overnight crab pots there and always had my limit in the morning. Good hunting.
nice work! i'm trying to learn the ropes up here myself. I used to spear a lot in the gulf of mexico on the oil rigs, but it's a whole different ball game here and i've gotten skunked aside from dungies every attempt ive made
your thumbnail photo is you photoshopped at Reynisfjara in Iceland, that is THE most dangerous beach in Iceland and if you go into the ocean there search and rescue search for a body not a person, no one has survived going in there the current is too strong, i know you are using that place because it is a beautiful place, but it might tell people that its safe to swim there
Awesome video! I hope to spearfish up in Oregon in the near future
Thanks man
You should try putting shopping plastic bags on your hands and feet before putting on your suit. Makes it so much easier to slide in
