    Great Video.
    This Might Be One Of The Best Videos I've Seen That Helps Break Down Forms And Create Technical Applications.

    baguazhang like "get rotated idiot"

    A few of these weren't bad, but overall, too much compliant punching and standing and waiting while the master spins behind the opponent. Robert J. Arnold has a channel where he shows Bagua used in casual, free sparring with someone who actually retracts their fist after striking, and you won't see any of those big applications you see in this clip there. More alive training will benefit Chinese Martial Arts greatly.

      Thank you for your comments .. This is a video that explains for example.It's not really sparring. And there are only two turns in my video.The rest are practical skills. I just saw a video of his sparring(?)
      .But it is not a proper sparring.
      It was similar to a game of touching rgames.
      It is only a basic level of reaction and there is no deep movement of Bagua.
      Of course, his creative research and attempts are positive.
      Anyway, I will refer to your point.~😊

      Exactly, I have seen some more realistic bagua applications where some sifu actually moved very quickly to the blind side of the opponents using bagua footwork. Blocking hooks like that in this video isn't very realistic.

  • @MrDCrosswell
    @MrDCrosswell 3 года назад +2

    In answwr to the many negative comments from the `learned ones', it's a demonstration video.

  • @trumplostlol3007
    @trumplostlol3007 2 года назад +1

    You can't block hooks like that cause hooks are very powerful. You must step backward while blocking with your two elbows.

      In actual sparring, it is difficult to apply all techniques dramatically. In general, simple and fast movements will be used.
      Are dramatic movements used in real kung fu sparring?
      I haven't seen a variety of dramatic techniques used in any Kungfu match yet.. Even in Bruce Lee's sparring videos.. Everyone prefers or relies on a few of the skills they're confident about.. Who knows if this If not, he will be no different from having never experienced martial arts.

    This will work amazingly if you are an air bender master or if your attacker is retarded or at least willing to stand still until you finish your moves and throw him to the ground "GREAT VIDEO"🤣

    • @PWCTran
      @PWCTran 4 года назад +1

      I've gotten some of the moves in the video in actual full contact sparring matches. It works you just gotta be willing to eat a couple punches along the way

    • @sillymesilly
      @sillymesilly 4 года назад +2

      @@PWCTran With practice and corrections, you will eat fewer punches. I don't know why people claim this is fake, with some of the moves in UFC; you expect them to be only in the movies.

      I don't think it would have survived for centuries if it had no value. It's modern founder was the head bodyguard for the Emperor of China.

    • @stefanschleps8758
      @stefanschleps8758 Год назад

      @@matthewconner5378 You are correct. There are many arm chair students in the comments sections on RUclips whose only experience in fighting has been watching MMA fights. All these bigots seem to think that they know what "real" martial arts are, or that they know of the value of traditional training, but they don't. Their too busy stroking their own ego to actually spend some time training, even then they can't get their head through the schools door as their head is so inflated. It is better that such young men never study the arts themselves, and just sit in the corners watching. They will never learn the most basic lesson there is, that "the man makes the art." They are fools.
      BTW. There is a secondary lesson that they don't consider. There are no guarantees of success in training. Out of a hundred dedicated students perhaps one rises to the top. Today kids go to a McDojo and buy a belt, and somehow believe that this confers upon them magic skills. Hollywood has rotted their brain.
      All the best to you. Keep practice regular. Train to live.
