  • In this quiz, you have to name cities in North America, which creates a circle around each one on the map. The goal is to cover as much of the continent with these circles as you can. I was recommended to play this quiz and I thought it sounded interesting, so I hope you enjoy!

I'm not sure if you typed Reno or not but I think it would have filled in most of that Nevada gap. And the place in Mexico that would have filled in the Texas gap is Ojinaga. It's a fairly large border town.

@@sammyb1661 Nope. But he somehow thought of Winnemucca over Elko, which really surprised me. I can't say I've ever met or heard of someone who even knew Winnemucca exists before this video, yet failed to understand how he knew of it, but not Elko lol. There's plenty who know of Elko. Less that do of Ely, and basic no one who knows Winnemucca. And given how small Winnemucca is, I figured Elko was the only town east of Sparks in Northern Nevada that could possibly just barely tickled the 10k mark. Though I doubt it is that size.

I'm hooked on these maps, but I've been using the opposite tactic -- what's the most compact coverage, leaving the most uncovered space? Lots of "what circle will just catch Eureka" type thinking.
There's a fun 100K+ coverage map where you have to minimize the number of circles -- and each city is unique on that map so no free circles from Springfield, etc
