...and ANOTHER thing; I enjoy using saws that are 'too small' for the job too! If they are too small; they wouldn't get the job done; and your's obviously did. I have a Greenworks 40v 14" saw; and I love it. I have been in situations where it's my 'go to' saw. I save my 24" EGO CSX5000 for the big stuff.
In my younger years; I had half a dozen Stihls; three of them over a hundred cc; so I know what power feels like. Not that my CSX5000 has anywhere near that power. But it does remind me of my 041 Super.
I know that. Was also the only chainsaw I had at the time and wanted to see how it would do when made to cut something it wasn't designed to do. Shortly after this video, I bought the 80V chainsaw. Now am into firewood as a business and now have the professional grade gasoline saws. Check out my 80V chainsaw video done Shortly after this one.
I don't like to be critical of people like you; who take the time and effort to make these chainsaw videos. HOWEVER; the first thing that stuck out to me was your felling technique. Granted; you 'got away' with it this time; but your backcut was wrong on many levels. Watch your video; and then watch videos on proper felling techniques; and you'll see what I mean. Thanks for the video. It was still fun to watch. And I DON'T mean that in a critical or demeaning way.
This video waa made years ago. Have learned a lot since then. This log was a stub of a tree anyway, so probably an extra deep notch cut would've been better.

Love my gas saws. I break out the 80V saw for small jobs.

The face cut; (notch) was fine; it was the backcut that I was taking issue with.
@John-cj3ve I do it a lot differently now. No worries on me screwing up too bad these days.
