I remember discovering Frightened Rabbit 17 years ago when I was only 13 and going through the beginning of one of the hardest times in my life. And Scott was with me through every single hard time after that (and there were many.) There has never been another songwriter that has stayed with me like Scott. There is no other band that has been at the top of every playlist without fail throughout every phase of my life. FR is so fucking special. Scott was so fucking special. I’ve never cried over losing someone I didn’t know before. I remember my husband coming to me with the article saying they found a body while I was standing at the fridge in our kitchen and I just wept. I felt like I lost someone I knew and someone that knew me. The connection that he created through his lyrics was unreal. And we’re all still here years and years later. I made it through the absolute worst times in my life with his help. I only wish that he could have realized how fucking important he was to so many people. We miss you, Scott.

They always used to close gigs with this. I miss those times, standing in crowds, all of us shouting out "woah wooaah", an electric solidarity. That was our scream. Amazing.

RIP Scott. While some of your your more melancholy songs have always been a safety net in my darker times, this is how I want to remember you. Defiant, proud and strong. Shine on; you won’t be forgotten.

I think people make the comments for the people they address them to, to let out and show their appreciation for that person whether they can see it or not. And also for others to see how much the man was appreciated.

So many of Frightened Rabbits lyrics I feel I could write myself. I drink too much. I feel lonely. No one really knows the true me. It's all so hopeless and I always think about taking my own life.
You impact more people than you think. You’re needed here. Talk to someone, tell them the true you. You’d be surprised how many people would love that

Frightened Rabbit is part of my soul now. I literally cry when I think of Scott and how we lost him far too soon. I will forever be grateful we'll be able to listen to his monumental talent. Rest well and easy my friend. If I make even the smallest of the tiny changes you made while you were here, I'll leave this rock satisfied.
Scott was a modern day Shakespeare. I NEVER really care that much when celebrities or rock stars that I never met die, but I actually cried and got angry when Scott passed. Still do when I think , selfishly , that I’ll never get hit with another one of his poetic lines. No one does it better. There’s just no law of diminishing return with his prose, it’s timeless and heavy and perfect.

Suicide is always a spiritual copout. Scott Hutchison had more good fortune in any year of his life than I have had in all of mine.
Oh god, when i first started watching that i wanted to just cry, because it was so depressingly scottish, then it got so uplifting because it was like he found his own feet again. That was lovely. Thank you frightened rabbit!!

I have only just been lucky enough to discover this band. A friend was listening and I just loved what I was hearing. And this track in particular, this must've been immense at a live gig. I so wish I had heard of this band when they were flourishing. I simply cannot stop listening. They are awesome, inspiring, fun, sad, joyous, meloncoly, like every emotion you can think of. This is the best band playing the best music I have ever heard. Amazing. Sorry to hear the story of Scott, Rip. You have left an amazing mark on this world in your astounding music. Thank you so much
May you rest in peace. Your work, your music will live on. I only wish I could say the same for you. A mind as bright as yours with the talents you were gifted with...it is deeply sad to know that the world will miss you, and the hurt is felt even further by those who love you. I wish I could have spoken with you prior... If anyone else reads this who is contemplating the way in which the world lost Scott, I urge you not to remain silent and to speak to others. You will always find someone out there who cares. You only have to look around you. Nobody is ever alone, no matter how alone you may feel.

I wish you knew how much this song means to me. It was half of what inspired me to continue photography after I almost lost hope in it. It saved me. My first tattoo is going to be based off this song.

This video is not sad. It's a really beautiful expression of life inspite of age. I love this old guy because he has been through it all and he knows what it means to really live. He doesn't need to scream. He is already there.

I knew a man when I was younger who lived nearby, he was a WW2 veteran as well, he was very lonely. I was young so I couldn't really go over to see him. After watching this immense video (after having the song on my iPod since October) I felt like I should have done something :/

Since 2003, Scott painted us vivid pictures of what was going on in his head. His stories reach into your chest with claws and grab on. Gently. Scott didn't use invisible ink in life. His words have always hurt with fury and the guitars, sometimes gentle, other times forceful, looped his words around the atmosphere permanently etching themselves in the listeners skin.
The question I ask myself 4yrs later is this - Is it hard to listen because in some way it feels as if we are Voyers listening to a tragedy? Perhaps it was not avoidable. Perhaps all the signs were in our headphones. Either way - I’m a Frightened Rabbit like the rest of you, right there walking hand-in-hand with Scott.

They closed with this song at the Barrolands show last December. It was the best live song I've ever seen. When I was in the cloakroom getting my jacket everyone there was still clapping shouting ''woooaahhhohhhohhohh''.

i have been a frightened rabbit fan for years!!! and i understand where your thought is coming from, but that doesn't make it right!! because this song was on teen wolf it gives this band more exposure which means they can make more beautiful music like this!! if anyhting tv shows that use artists like this are good for the music business!!!
