I the new have glanza g variant and I have clocked 6000 KM already. On an avergage you will get 14 to 15 in City and highway 17 to 18 range with AC always on. Coming to performance, you cannot expect the I20 or polo level performance, but what I have noticed the car comes alive when your on highspeed 80 to 100+ It pulls seamlessly and 1.2l dual jet engine is super smooth and very re-defined.
I traveled solo from mumbai to hp in may 2023 in my 2005 santro xing car and it was a peaceful happy journey. From ac to driving on bad roads was no issue. Only car maintenace was a car wash at manali and one on return to mumbai. 4508kms in 16 days. Some pics and shorts on my channel. So yes hatchbacks can be used. I did this with a lot of night driving and highways. The recorded avg was on mumbai jaipur stretch of 21.9kmpl with ac on continuously. Least was in the himalyas at lahul at 14.7kmpl. I have other cars too. Including a safari but chose to take my santro. Bookeed a glanza V amt from madhuban Toyota at bandra west 2 days ago. If pdi goes well will take it. If not will go for bolero power plus b6 O variant. Im extreme i know. But i love the looks of the bolero. Any vehcicle can be taken "ALMOST" anywhere...drive responsibly thats all. Use dash cams in the front and rear on such trips.
Your fuel economy showing is wrong, every time u have to reset it before drive to get the correct fuel economy. I have glanza and earlier is was having the same issue. Before driving if u reset u will get the correct figure. Just try and let me know.

Mine is giving 18.5 even with ac on , bumper to bumper traffic may be it depends on driving style as well 😊
