When I first saw this figure, the chest bugged the hell outta me. I’ve come to accept that and now, I’d say this figure is my favourite Megatron figure in the Studio series line! Personally I love the big legs and the proportions look spectacular IMO! Great review, thanks for making me want this figure even more 😂

Although I like the jet mode, but for the robot mode, it's.....eh. I get that takara/Tomy couldn't find a way to have a different sculpt. I've seen this before and I'm not a big of it, but I'll admit. This is a fair toy. 👌
I agree but the robot mode has 2 problems the legs and head

Very cool new Megatron figure, the silver on him is just amazing! His legs may be a bit big, but I love how the jet's wings fold inside the legs, quite original, I still have the original Leader class '07 Megatron, his color scheme is off, looks bluish-grey instead of silver, and he's a got a different transformation, not to mention the lights and sound gimmicks that doesn't add much to the figure itself, none of the Studio Series has any electronics in them and that's fine, it's not always needed anyway. I'd have to watch the MP version video again to compare it with this new one, but it's certainly much better and more intricate. Now all's missing would be a Studio Series Galvatron from AOE, how amazing would that be? That truck mode is stunning! And of course, a Megatron from TLK. Very cool review as always, Paul!

They reused the torso from the ROTF Megatron!! NOOOOOOO!!
I honestly thought they were gonna make this Megatron a leader class scale and come with a mini figure of frenzy, just as studio series DOTM leader class Megatron came with a mini figure of Igor. And also because of his jet mode. But hey, I’m very happy we finally got a movie 1 Megatron in the studio series line!

One of the best studio series figures, so amazing and for only 35 dollars.
I agree I'll also display my 2007 Megatron in robot mode instead of Cybertronian jet mode.
I feel like movie 1 and 2 Megatron should be the easiest two transformers to convert into accurate toys, yet none of them really get it still. Getting closer though, still waiting on a legit triple changer movie 2 Megatron.

There should be the fallen aka Megatronus studio series because he doesn't have a transformation and they would be able to make it more accurate to the film and it would be cheaper to design.
I love thereveng of the falling one because of the he turn into tank.
I wish they made.the hand is such a way that if you brought them together it forms his canon or they could have included another piece that goes over both hand that forms the canon that he used.

I understand why people are annoyed by the chest. It is a reuse of SS13 Tank Megatron. But I don’t think DNA Design are going to include a new chest. On the box it is a pic of 2007 Megatron with ROTF Megatron’s head Photoshopped on. I think it’s a theme with the toy and later on they are going to rerelease him with a brand new sculpt with a 2007 Chestplate
All that is left is Scavenger now right? I look forward to see them team together and what you can do with combining.

Same. You'd think that with the Chest mold being hollow, the designers would've figured out a way to get the wings to somehow fold in and tab a slightly better way than how the Masterpiece version attempted to. But then again, I'm not sure if that could've been done with a figure of this size...

I actually like the proportion changes like the feet and legs. It kinda normalizes it for me cuz that screen accurate mppm didn't fit my taste despite that being more accurate and less thicc
I remember in christmas 2007 my parents got me the voyager class megatron.
I was disappointed cause I really wanted optimus prime. But I finally got 2 years later the tf 2 version which was much better anyway.

It might just be your own figure, Paul. Mine tabbed in really damn well and only seemed to pop out when I applied pressure to the wrong place.
Still, I always use your tutorials for these things since the instructions nowadays are abysmal to read.
Shockwave's scale with the rest of the SS Megatrons really depends on how you're standing the Megatron figures themselves; like for example, in this review both Shockwave and 2007 Megatron are standing about the same height: ruclips.net/video/VXOon8lieO4/видео.html, whereas in this one, Shockwave and the ROTF Megatron stand the same height: ruclips.net/video/rRwlgKTwpvI/видео.html
I still think that head is good looking. The last knight version could have been better
