Yes, the MonaLisa Twins cover of 'God Only Knows' is wonderful. They have many, many more excellent in-studio covers and original songs. But, they excel in live performance!! Note that is their dad playing the Hofner bass. He does (or did ... not sure about now) all of the audio and video recording. He was a professional recording producer/engineer in Austria, where they are originally from. They moved to Liverpool. They did a couple of years residency at The Cavern Club. Check out a YT video of their cover of The Beatles 'You're Going To Lose That Girl' - from their YT channel. Thanks for all of your excellent reaction videos, Jeff.
Please note that the bass player is their father. Love these ladies and have followed for many moons of happiness.

Ahhhh, you've discovered another of my favorite rabbit-holes! I've been watching/listening to these very talented twins for a few years now, and they never disappoint. I believe it was their dad playing bass on this one. It is so interesting, how there is always something so special about siblings harmonizing together...

And to think that 'God Only Knows' was a 'B Side' afterthought. It was the fans that applied pressure to hear
the song in concerts and could very well be the most popular song they ever performed.

I've been a fan of Mona and Lisa since even before L&F! You should check out their original material! A song called "Still a Friend of Mine" will bring you to tears! They do tons of Beatles covers and most of their original material has a 60's vibe.
GROOVY!!! It's their favorite term and they are inspired and obsessed with the music of the 1960's. Even the music they write has a sixties sound to it. I first started listening to them when I heard their live music from 'The Cavern Club' in England doing so many great Beatles songs but also songs from other artist of that 60's era. Then of course I had to go back and look at all of their videos old and new. They have matured so much but even those videos from years ago are certainly worth listening to. And yes the guy playing bass was their father. They are from Austria but now live in England They just make it fun to listen to those songs again half a century later. And yes I did say, 'again', as I'm 71 years old. Love them and have all of their CD's. Great job Jeff. You certainly need to hear more of these beautiful twin sisters and so do we!

Hi Jeff. I'm glad to see you finally got to the incredibly talented twins (I mentioned them to you a couple of years ago when you took up my recommendation to check out Martha and Lucy Thomas). The base player is their father who is a sound engineer and his job is the reason why this Austrian family relocated to Liverpool. Mona and Lisa have a great range of covers and they have some very good original material. Same here. Truly outstanding. If you haven't yet check Foxes and Fossils. They give the Twins a run for the money.
I really hate most covers, they always try to change it, which is ridiculous since they were hits, but MLT always stays true to the originals and I love to listen to them.

Been listening to them since they were in middle school. One of the best if not the best cover band on the internet. So many great interpretations of classic hits. Their versions of Paint It Black, Time of the Season, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Two of Us are a must. Once you start down this rabbit hole you won't even notice the time going by.

OMG Jeff, did you watch RUclips at all before starting your channel? The Mona Lisa Twins showed up in my feed years ago. With the start of covid Matt and Savanna Shaw showed up in my feed, along with millions of others, with their father and daughter duet (it changed both their lives). The fact that you hadn't heard of Leonid & Friends, Foxes & Fossils, HSCC, LLB, or the Mona Lisa Twins blows me away. What about Peter Hollens, Caleb Hyles, or Elle Cordova (formerly Reina del Cid)? All of these folks have been in my feed for years. Caleb Hyles might have been the first one I heard with his version of Let it Go 10 years ago. It is pretty fantastic (15 million views).

I mean, if you ever watched a chicago video on RUclips you should have gotten L&F in your feed.I love 80's music and while Jazz isn't my top pick I do listen to it but I've never gotten links to any of those people. If you haven't heard of any of the people I listed I guess I have many more to add to you schedule. And I will go add the people you listed to mine!
