Nice demo. I use the Mini all the time. Even when I have several to do. The heat press takes a long time to get to temp and with the Mini I’ve done 5 or six already. I also use the Mini for caps. Well worth the investment. Thanks.
Hi Melissa. I love watching your videos. I learned how to do a lot of stuff including how to use my Uninet 560 just from watching your videos. Thank you for that BTW. I actually had 2 questions for you if you don't mind. I was wondering if you can share with me where you purchased your wood blanks for this video? And if you have tried to use the Uninet to decorate the blanks? I have not tried it yet , but was wondering if you had any input on that. Thanks for for help in advance.
Hi Mirna, Glad you have found the videos on the Uninet helpful. If you are doing hard goods you want to use the Uninet 1 Step Hard Surface Paper. I have a tutorial coming on that early next week on SilhouetteSchoolBlog.com. The wood ornaments are from Amazon.
Wow I’ve learnt so much, Thank You. Quick question: could we use the cricut easy-press to do multiple pieces at the same time or would the pressure not be even?
Hi! Great videos! Just a question! If you use HTV for larger wood signs, any idea how weather and storing the sign may affect the letters or design peeling off? This is a great idea and would save me a ton of money on using vinyl as a stencil, and then painting!!! Thank you!
Hello I’m just starting out and am just learning, I want to do a lot of work on wood, personalising etc but using multi colour images. This is the closest video I have found to what I want to do and was wondering if you can tell me how you get the image onto the paper. I have seen lots of one colour vinyl videos but I want to print images and scenes of all colours thank you
Would you use HTV for ceramic and/or stone/marble coasters and such as well? And is the vinyl for easy press different from a regular HTV? Or does it just peel differently,i.e. cold?
Hello the link in the description is for printable htv. But this video is for htv. I’m boggled by all the different paper etc you can buy. If this is htv how did you get different colours, and do I need htv transparent thank you
HI was wondering if you can help me? I tried using HTV on a wood sign but when I removed the backing it left little yellow marks on the wood, any idea why this would happen? Thank You!!
I first project using htv on wood….I used those flat cutting boards on Amazon. I did paint them a neutral color. I used a mini press. Placed the transfer on the wood, covered with parchment paper, and pressed. The the sticky residue came off around the lettering. I had gone over the item several times, because there was lifting. Any thoughts on why that happened?

Where did you get small heat? For small woods. Thanks

Thank you for all the info. Now I know what new project to do for the holidays.
You are so welcome!
Great video! Can I use HTV to line mdf shelves using a regular iron instead of contact paper?
I would use adhesive vinyl for that

Hi there 😊 I'm new to this process, can you tell how did you get your design on the HTV? Thank you great video
Hey there! There's a full blog post walk through in the description!
Wow I’ve learnt so much, Thank You. Quick question: could we use the cricut easy-press to do multiple pieces at the same time or would the pressure not be even?
Yes, I have used the easypress, just try it on one first to find the right pressure. You don't want the ink to bleed from too much pressure
You do know that......the dial on top of that clamshell will adjust the height of the top platten you can adjust it for thicker items.
This was a great video thank you! Quick question can you paint the wood discs and then apply your HtV to it?
The paint can bubble when heat is applied to it, unfortunately. If you're painting, I'd use adhesive vinyl.

Make sure you get a really good press and it should be good!
i can hear you. Thumbs Up!
All good here!

You print it on inkjet printable material...here is more info www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/12/how-to-put-inkjet-printable-heat.html

You have such good content! I just wish you had a different microphone so I could hear you better.
HI was wondering if you can help me? I tried using HTV on a wood sign but when I removed the backing it left little yellow marks on the wood, any idea why this would happen? Thank You!!

I would guess the paint melted and made it sticky
So cute!! What brand is that heat press?
It's an 8 in 1 Swing Design Swing away heat press. More info is here: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2017/12/best-heat-press-for-silhouette-cameo.html
What temperature did you use for the wood for the htv
I used the recommended for the HTV..which in this case was. 310 degrees for 20 seconds, cold peel.
Hearing you
What degrees is the heat press set to?
Check out this blog post for details: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/09/how-to-add-htv-to-wood-slices-with-heat.html
I watched another of your videos and you said the printable HTV needs a hot pull?
This is HTV not printable heat transfer :)
Can you paint wood first?
You can..but when the heat press hits the HTV it can melt the paint so you just have to be really careful (and quick)
What size do you set your silhouette at for the images?
I created a template that's the exact size as the wood blanks and sized the designs inside to fit.
Where did u get the wood ornament shape??
They're linked in this blog post: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/12/how-to-put-inkjet-printable-heat.html
I have clam shell heat press. Your saying it won’t work?
You would just want to find skinny blanks!
She is wrong.....the pressure dial on top of the clamshell will make it where you can put thicker items in.
This is great . Thanks
