I have a question. I am trying to make a "master" macro that will give me a drop down menu and which lists some of my other macros. Which ever one I select, it will run that macro. Is this possible and can you help me with the code? This is just an example code to help me get the syntax but as you can see, it gives me a drop down option with only one choice "Blind" and then if selected and submitted, it will run the macro Pic. Its not doing that and its pushing the text Pic into the chat. Any suggestions? ?{What Macro Do you want|Blind, #pic|}
As a DM, am I able to make these macros for my players or is it only available only on my personal screen? I'd love to have my players be able to just 1 click a spell. Also, how did you get the dc16 save to pop up underneath the spell in the chat?
First, upload the gifs to an image host like imgur or other alternative (Discord works too!) You will need the direct link to the gif. Second, in ANY description box on your character sheet put [x](link here) if it still does not show up, try a different image host or test a different gif.
unrelated to the useful content (Thanks!) - what is the name of the first song?? i am sure its a final fantasy song (i want to say 6?) but i am going crazy not being able to place it.
Hey not sure if you'll see this but can you do a tutorial video on how you create your detail tokens through photoshop? New to and 5e and want to get as close to your skill level to impress my player is possible
You can do simple dice rolls with /roll or the in-line calculations without any problems. It cannot display any fancy templates or spell cards and macros though.
If kept very very simple. Macros can call to other macros, and with API scripting just about anything is theoretically possible. But at a certain point it’s just so much effort and complexity to do very simple things.
What is the context of the question? Adding a quote like "Character name gathers energy and begins to cast a spell" because i use /me to create my emotes.
@@CrashGem it's more like my character saying something like "Your head has fallen off." whilst intiating or after a execution you know the For Honor ones Edit: and or describing. Kinda usin the spell Marcos to do some neat execution
Thank you for showing how to insert images/gifs. I've been using Roll20 for a while but that was something I had no idea I could do.
It adds some spice to chat. Our Tuesday game maybe goes a little overboard on it. :D
Those spell gifs are pretty sweet
Yea they just finished a tarot deck kickstarter which also brought in animated cards for all spells up to 9th level!
Thank you! Very nice. I will certainly be using these at our next game.
Please do!
Artificers are always so different. Mine uses jewels and gems to create portals that use energy from another planes xD.
It's always fun to see how a character themes their abilities.
How do I use Macros to upcast spells?
Great video! very helpful. (whats the song called that started playing at 11:42)
Unsure, was listening to a squaresoft remix - mix.
I was wondering the same thinh because I knew the song but I couldn't remember the name XD It's "Vogel Im Kafig" of Attack on Titans I think

If you are still checking this video... Where did you get the animated candles on your Roll20 map?
I made them myself from video footage of a candle.

how do you connect the img to the dice roll? ex: cure wounds....can i do the pic AND the roll/result?
You can have both. You put the image embed into the description.
i got the gifs but i dont know how to put them into the abilities

It's the Wind Scene from Chrono Trigger.

Like a photoshop tutorial? I guess I could do that.
CrashGem thanks for the reply and much appreciated. I’m still a newbie to photoshop

Thanks, very helpful!
You are welcome!
What does happens if you put a dice rolling on the cascading menu from spells?

@@CrashGem would it work with the spells attack output? Damage? Save DC?

how does one add quote?
