The body kit addition made this car so much cooler in GT3 onwards! I wish we got body kit in GT7 cause that would be pretty cool! Plus we have every other modification besides body kits to this extent. I've been a huge fan of the LM version of this car, used it loads over the years. But I had no idea they screwed the engine up so badly in GT5/6. I thought I maybe had a faulty lead or something but no...the engine actually sounds like that :( What a way for this car to go out.
The RX-7 LM definitely "peaked" in Gran Turismo 3, not only it had the best visual design in that game, the glorious 3 Rotor sound was actually pretty accurate to a race-tuned 20B (which this car is implied to have) and the gearbox whine made it such a joy to drive. It's a shame all that would be lost from 4 and onwards, it's still a cool car but at that point the Amemiya GT300 race car would become more pleasant to drive due the better inclusion, even more so in 5 and 6 where it had a full premium model and it was easily one of the best sounding cars in these games. Fun video still!
What is so weird the Rally version of the Mazda RX-7 didn't added but the normal RX-7s has the option to insert the Rally tires to feel like what would happened if the "Mazda RX-7 Rally Car" would come true to have Players a good imaginations.

GT6 version of RX-7 LM sounds like Aston Martin.
The 2001 Mazda RX-7 LM in Gran Turismo 4 sounded like an upgraded Lancer Super Rally Car.
