There is a deadly pandemic that has killed almost all the women and the government is hunting the surviving women to conduct horrific experiments on them. Even normal people are hunting women for the prize money. Best case scenario, you'd have to stay trapped in your house for the rest of your life. Worst case scenario, you get kidnapped and tortured/experimented on. And then there's the disease, which is almost an afterthought at this point.
A husband isn't a substitute for a life - for society and work and friends and hobbies. And she can't even touch her husband for fear of getting infected. Her only mistake was dragging things out for so long and endangering her husband in the process. She might as well have shot herself and prevented him getting shot, hunted and whatnot.

This is actually a pretty accurate portrayal of the mental breakdowns lots of people dealt with in quarantine. All Eva had to do was just stay indoors but instead jeopardized her safety at every turn. She couldn’t accept the new reality she was living in and chose death instead. Her behavior was completely insane to me but after going through this pandemic and watching people behave just like her, it turns out her actions were completely logical for her personality. She needed social contact and the old form of normalcy more then she needed life.

This story reminds me of one called "The Screwfly Solution", where the ash came down, but instead it released a chemical that changed human reactions during sex. Whenever people got aroused they would attack their partner, and a new religion springs up teaching that this violence was acceptable. Even worse, this new religion claims they have heard the truth from angels, so what they are doing is acceptable.
Eventually the story is told from the perspective of a woman who is hiding out, and she sees one of the angels deep in the woods. It is checking the soil, and she finally understands. She realizes that habitable planets are quite rare, and bombing them to clear off the local life forms is damaging to the resale value. Essentially the aliens just had an 'insecticide' mixed up and distributed over the planet. The 'angels' are actually real estate agents

I love this channel because it tells you the story without adding boring things to it, not only that, but it also introduces people to new genres and movies.

This is the first recapped that I found hard to watch, Eva was doing everything she can to jeopardize herself, it's crazy. He has protected her for so long and yet she willingly went out into the ashes.
Yeah, duh, she committed suicide. Did you really miss that? She chose suicide because it is better than living in a basement for the rest of your life.

If they can track and see everything. It's obvious they will go check why this only/few connection is encrypted in the area.
Even if she did encrypted, someone on the network might not be. With time, resources and expertise of the fucking (that is desperate mind you) government do you really think a simple encryption (neither he or she is a expert in tech) will stop government from finding them.

Her husband was already infected, and when you can't see people or leave, that already makes you exhausted but then to know that if you do get caught then you'll die, you'd probably just give up and would rather to die happy in the place you've always wanted to see, than die in fear and in pain.

To be fair, the DNA will still produce females but they’ll only be safe in quarantine spaces. So any female babies will be quarantined for life and that will suck cause any rights women had prior are entirely thrown out the window for humanitarian purposes.
My hope is that if this did ever happen that women get there rights back the moment the outside air is safe to breathe.
