I don't know if he ever got back to you on this, but this is how I did it and it worked. 1. Download the MSCOMCT2.CAB file. You can find this on Google. 2. Extract the mscomct2.ocx file from the .cab file (works like a zip) 3. Copy the mscomct2.ocx file onto C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (if you are running on a 64-bit machine). C:\Windows\System32 if you are on a 32-bit.
I love the pace of this video. You were clear and concise, making it possible for me to understand everything without having to continually pause and repeat the video. Although I watched the video through, and got started I couldn't finish the creation because I could not save file properly. I have no idea how to turn on the macros.
4. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt 5. Right click on Command Prompt and Run as administrator 6. "CD C:\Windows\system", then "regsvr32 mscomct2.ocx" Should work if you do that. If that doesn't work, try just copying the mscomct2.ocx file onto C:\Windows\system.
Was going very well until I couldn't add the calendar button to the toolbox. I right clicked and click on additional controls and nothing came up. That is far as I got. Otherwise he was very easy to follow.
Hi, I was going along so good until it come to insert the Calendar. I opened up the Additional Controls dialog box but does not have a calendar option for Microsoft Month View Control or indeed anything which relates to a Calendar. What am I doing wrong, please help !! I am using Excel 2010Many Thanks Terry
Martin thanks very much for giving your time in order to teach this VBA Could you please confirm how this code can be showed wen you click in a specific cell only and apply to only a cell, in my case i need to calendar pop up only when i click in cell i14 and the date should be applied only in this specific cell ( i14) thanks in advance
A very positive experience. The only (minor (more annoying really)) is that the date cells pop up box can’t be ‘escaped’ out of, so has to be re-entered if you accidentally move into that cell. Is there anyone who had the same issue and solved it out by some solutions? Thanks for sharing in advance.
I DONT HAVE MONTH CALENDAR BUT I HAVE MICROSOFT OUTLOOK CALENDAR I ALMOST GOT IT BUT I HAVE DIFFICULTY TO INSERT THE MICROSOFT OUTLOOK CALENDAR KINDLY HELP ME
Hi, I am finding this tutorial very helpful. I am stuck because I am running the Mac Version of Excel and cannot get any additional functions in the toolbox by right clicking. I have looked at the toolbox tab at the top of the screen also but this doesn't seem to work either. Can anybody help?
hi Sir, i am running office 365 and want to have a build a pop up calender, cannot find Microsoft MonthView control! How can i proceed with this issue?
Okay I dont have Microsoft Month view either... --- Windows 10 & office 2016 But I got it to work just now. I downloaded the xlm files which already has the VBA code done (very bottom of page) www.fontstuff.com/vba/vbatut07.htm Next I used these instructions from link below code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsdesktop/How-to-use-MonthView-5e8b32be FYI: I used Firefox WayBack addin to download the mscomct2.ocx link that gives a 404 error After exiting out of excel, after updating trust center VBA & Macro, adding excel file folder location. I then opened the Calendar.xlsm which had a subfolder Support as directed AND VOILA its working!!!
I was trying to resolve the same problem I had bringing up the "Additional Controls" window and tried everything with no results. Finally came across we "MrExcel" forum and this reply from "Amin Esmaeili", and it WORKED! Click on windows Start Menu 2. Drag a shortcut of Microsoft Excel to your desktop 3. Right click on it and choose "Properties" then click on the "Compatibility Tab" 4. You can see the "Additional Control" window box will now pop up on request. This problem usually happens when we upgrade or configure our Microsoft to a newer version ( 2003 to 2010 ,.....)
